Using this as an example. In the Debate forum as well as in the General Discussion forum the OP is to present an "issue" or a "topic of discussion" and include any type of evidence that is either for or against (or both) to engage the community. Those that reply to the topic are supposed to share their opinion and as well, share any evidence that is either for or against (or both) that said topic or discussion. I understand that there are those of you who like to troll these forums to bait other players into your troll webs and I understand that there are those of you who are completely against and completely for certain issues. Providing a reply that does not hold true content to the OP or other responses within the created thread will no longer be accepted at the time of this post. As per the rules: When creating a thread Opening posts should be a paragraph with at least 4-5 complete sentences. Quoting from outside references may only include small portions of the article. Do not post or quote an entire article. Thread titles should be a brief description of the thread topic. Moderation has the right to alter thread titles that do not follow this rule. Whether a thread has sufficiently set a basis for respectful debate on the thread topic will be at the discretion of the moderators When replying to a post Attack the post, not the player. Personal attacks against any player will result in a warn. Personal attacks extend not only to individual posters, but to groups as well. (For example, calling all Republicans idiots is the same as calling every Republican on the board an idiot, and will not be tolerated) Posts that are intended to disrupt a discussion rather than actually contribute to it will be considered trolling/derailing and will result in disciplinary actions. With those rules plain as day, posted in this thread, I expect the course of this thread as well as any other active threads and newly created threads to change, immediately. I have been cool and laid back, I sent out verbal warnings as well as posted verbal warnings in numerous threads and as you have seen, some threads have even been locked by moderators. Your continued dismissal and abuse of these forums will no longer be tolerated with verbal warnings. Those of you that continue to violate the rules of this forum, will be handled accordingly. This is not to take away from this forum or from those of you who contribute to this community and these forums in a positive way. I already posted that I would be making this forum (debate) my home as a mod for a while. You can expect me to jump in here and there to demonstrate proper posting etiquette as some of you don't know how to follow rules. Thanks for asking though.

Let's get back on track of the OP. To add to the debate: IF it were the other way around, OP, would you have the same feeling/opinion on the matter? Remove the fact that USA is a world power. US citizens are what we call "terrorists" bombing/shooting/killing Iraqi people in their places of businesses and Iraqi Military Forces are now invading USA/France/England...etc to route out terrorism. What would your feelings/opinions on that be? Another thing that I'd like to bring up is that most wars are media driven. We see, sitting at home eating dinner, people getting shot and murdered all the time - even in our own neighborhoods. Death is obviously very hard to deal with - but we are very desensitized to the act of war - some of us were born in the era of war (2001) and only know war. It might not be at our door, but it has been taught, televised, and presented to us. Carry on.

Just some thoughts. I think we all live (in today's society) with a sense of entitlement. I am not saying this to belittle the people of this forum - I enjoy you all as Mod and as a Player. Don't get me wrong, in RL I feel a sense of entitlement for a lot of things, especially in my line of work. Sometimes you just have to take a step back and look at the WHOLE picture. In this case, the community and the game. Vacation mode, in the perfect world, wouldn't be "abused" like many of you are saying it is. In reality, vacation mode is a great option for people actually not being able to access internet, traveling, military.....all that stuff. Do people go into vac mode to avoid wars? Of course they do...but like sheepy said, there is no way to actually prove the vacation is legit or not. Yeah, you can argue that they are just doing it to avoid wars and they are pixel huggers and all that, but in the whole picture what does it really matter. If anything vac mode ads a dynamic to the game. Say - in your DoW - "any nation that enters vac mode in and around time of DoW will remain on target lists, apply it to your peace talks...make stuff happen. I mean, add your own dynamic. Entitlement. If you think they are messing up your strategy, mess up the strategy they created. Just because something is not going your way, doesn't mean you have to force sheepy to change it. Yeah, less targets in a war - but work your way around it. There are options to ignore/block people as well, use them. I hope this can open some of your eyes to the whole picture and if I disregarded some of your posts, I do apologize, but that seems to be the biggest complaint. This game is dynamic and it will only grow and change if you make it more dynamic and build strategies to battle certain dynamics.
