  1. I don't think that would really fly with the majority of the rrp community or alex...I sent you a message indicating a new forum for RP that would allow for OOC postings...a new world per se.
  2. Don't get me wrong - rules need to be edited, but the way Alex set up this forum is to be strict towards in-game nations and roleplaying within those means. If a new subforum for "out of game" RP could be created a new set of rules would obviously be needed/used.
  3. Any way we can see an example? I'm just interested in it. We also have some very talented graphics players that could possibly help us out.
  4. I understand where you're coming from, so there is absolutely no reason to continue to repeat yourself. Moderation and Rules will always remain - so you can wipe that one off your plate. I am one of the most lenient moderators, especially for RP. I personally look over this forum on my own to ensure it continues to engage the RP Community. You are free to continue to post your massive posts with the same information just rearranged, but what it boils down to is this is how the RP of this community is run. Sure, it could be different where you are from - but this is how we do things. We get a long, fun is had, and it is an enjoyable place to be...we aren't going to change simply because you're saying your way is better. Sorry. As far as the changes, we will discuss them with the community like we do - and we will implement those changes together. Thank You.
  5. I was looking at ways to bring this group back to life. If anyone is interested in joining this RP group, shoot me a message. For new people: The RP Team is a group of non-mod/admin RP players who assist in the clarification of stories throughout RP to route out incorrect reports. This team also filters out bad RP to the moderation team so that the quality of RP stays within the guidelines and rules. In no way is a member of the RP Team a moderator. In no way should a member of the RP Team every publicly call out another RP Player. Thats what the report function is for. In no way is a member of the RP team considered a "higher rank" than any other member here. I'll sort through those who are interested to find the best for the team. Likely, 4 people.

  7. So - I was under the impression that this was an RP Debate thread. If you're looking for RL Debate - there is a Debate Forum for that.
  8. Hey new guys. I'm Four - Moderator for PW Forums and these guys can tell you that I put a lot of my energy here into this specific sub-forum of Nat RP. In fact, a few months back Nat RP was even more disconnected and in even worse disarray than it is today. I won't lie, there is a lot that needs to change to make the Nat RP community better - we have lost some great RP'ers. Even with rules and even with direction, there is always going to be a disconnect especially when one group is used to RP'ing a certain way and then change over to a new RP community - like you new guys have. Lucky for you, I like change. The problem with change is it can't be implemented over night. This is obvious. I would prefer to make small changes towards the progression of the "big picture" in order to keep everyone on the same page. Another key thing to remember is that this specific RP is within the realm of the Nations we own in this game. So, there is a specific line we cannot cross. (which brings into question the call for the new RP community not associated with in-game nations...). My suggestions right off the bat would be to change the forums a bit. If I'm understanding correctly, you guys would want an IC RP forum and then an OOC RP forum that would allow OOC discussions to be had in regards to the IC RP going on? In addition: Crack down on god modding, sometimes it gets out of hand. Crack down on "over night" technology/advancements. Enforcing the rules of the forum harder to encourage quality RP. Thoughts?
  9. The problem I'm seeing is we aren't just going to create a subforum without an actual solid following for that type of "galactic" RP. Not to mention, this 'new' RP wouldn't be able to associate with the current National RP as you would be RPing from beyond the realm of your nations. I mean, even Nat RP gets a litttttle overboard sometimes. This would have to be a new brand of RP with some type of strong organization from within to make it actually work...it can't just be mashed together overnight. What I'd need to see is some strong development and a good amount of you willing to take a position in the RP. Without that, there is no bounds to open a new forum and I believe Alex would agree with that as well.
  10. Thanks Alice. Jesse, that was my bad - unless I otherwise specify, any comments in threads from my account are usually to warn future posts to that thread. In addition, should I create a general warning in a thread, I usually contact the members within that thread that are specific to that general warn broadcast. Thanks.

  12. Let us remember these words: When replying to a post Unless you are posting specific evidence as it relates to the technical support report or providing positive feedback and/or assistance on the report DO NOT post in a technical support thread. Posts that are intended to disrupt a discussion rather than actually contribute to it will be considered trolling/derailing and will result in disciplinary actions.
  13. Community, Fist off - creating large text and bolding that text in an IC forum is a form of spam - lets not. Secondly, Lets all take a look at this forum's rules. Check them out here. As always, this forum is for role play specific to your in-game nations. You are to play within the realm of the orbis world and your in-game nation. That means you need to play within the means of the world, you can't god-mod, and you can't be a one upper. (i.e. "I have shield destroyers" - "WELL MY SHIELDS NEVER DIE!! NO MATTER WHAT!") This forum has always operated just fine with the current rule set up - this community changes over time and it continues to change as more and more people are introduced to the RP community here. Just because you do something one way - in no way - gives you the right to come in here and try to force it down the RP Community's throats. That won't be happening. I agree that there needs to be changes in the way things are operated here in the RP world - a good way to start out is by posting your ideas in the OOC forum, that is where suggestions go. In addition, somewhere I saw how you all wanted to do a practice war to see this new way of RPing - I suggest getting together to work on that. Lastly - In order for RP to work correctly - the way it has been for years - all parties must agree to the conflict/rp - no matter what. Any type of posts that violate those rules will be locked and the OP will be warned. Please see rules for more information. This thread has been locked as it is a sit storm of OOC posts. I'll see you guys in the OOC Nat RP Forum.
  14. Why not just add an agreed upon "space map" to the Nat RP?
  15. First - pinned/locked Second - Pinned.
  16. Hey guys and OP: Just remember that there are other people besides you in the RP community - if you want to do some great RP like launching missiles and stuff, just collaborate with the nations you are going to affect. 9/10 you will be able to develop an even stronger RP story than what you initially thought. Removing some of the strictly "ooc" posts, you made it to 3 pages on your RP post. I won't warn or give any strikes, but just remember to be within your means and talk to your neighbors. Its a good way to understand what types of technology they have in their nations. Thanks.
  17. I think simply put - (That terrible game that is totally irrelevant and I shouldn't be bringing it up anyways) might have an appealing process, but PW doesnt. Maybe some players get confused? I'd like to say that I don't ever coddle the whiney little manchildren on this forum, which is probably why I get called out as much. Your words are hurtful and I'm offended.
  18. Lets also remember that Tech Support forum is not a place for spam or OOC content. Keep it to the OP, post if you have valuable details for the support request or you're contributing in a helpful and constructive way.
  19. Your posts hold no actual logical bounds, but feel free to keep replying - I like to have an active dialogue with the community. Let me break this down so that even a kitty can understand. There are many words and sayings that forum members uses that hold true to be IC. For a while "Steve" and "For Steve" and anything associated with that particular, dare I say movement, was considered appropriate and would still be considered (and is still) to be used today. So, did nobody say - anywhere - that the use of the steve phrases was banned for life. The only thing I told you that was even close to "ban" was that it takes 7 warn points to get banned from this community. You are right people do say "no" and other one word answers in threads that are active. Some people even posts images, memes, movies, and links. The major and highlighted difference is they are repetitious with the postings so that it becomes a nuisance or annoyance to the general active community that uses these forums. It is quite clear by reading through the threads, which I do, people get annoyed with your constant steve postings and even more so - to the point of reporting your posts to moderators. So, if you're still with me, your posts begin to take the form of spam. Why? Because your posts do not contribute to the topic or general flow of the topic AND, my friend, they are made in repetitious nature which would classify them as being spam....regardless of what you would consider spam yourself. You can trust in the fact that I knew your posts were becoming a problem and I was just waiting for the community to report it. I generally do not bother with going on a witch hunt every day on the forums. I find the more vulgar posts/topics and make sure they are routed out before actual harm is done in the community. Dealing with a shit poster who wants to argue what spam is and what spam isn't and then try to figure out who reported what based off the political spectrum of the game isn't a path I usually take, but I'm taking it, son, because you are wrong here....but feel free to justify actions by staying the course of what you believe to be true. Although I am an anonymous mod here and I do have a personal account and I am in an alliance in this game with that account - I never play towards a certain side when it comes down to handing out warns or contacting players notifying them to change certain posts they made. Not to mention, the mod team is comprised of individuals from all political spectrums of this game - we work together to form a basis of discipline for each report...so you can just check that one right off your list. What it comes down to is this: you crossed the line from commenting just like everyone else, to forming your own spam campaign on every DoW/war related thread that has occurred since the beginning of the global conflict - in fact, I have even seen you post that you're only allowed to comment during war times aaaaand basically that your main goal is to spam it up with your steve comments. In conclusion...and I do hope you're still following...you got warned for spamming. There isn't going to be a removal of the warn until it expires in 60 days. All you have to do is be more constructive with your posts for them to not count as spam and you'll be a golden kitty. How hard can it be?
  20. I can't believe I am even replying to this post, but here goes. You are right - there is a difference between shit posting and spam, but what you don't realize is that your shit posting has turned to spam. You have commented multiple times on almost every single thread that has been created in reference to the current global conflict with 'steve' or 'for steve' or the like. You crossed the line from shit posting to spam and the community called you out for it. You deliberately go to every single thread you see and reply with your steve comments. You are not contributing to the post and more than half the time "steve" has no relation to the current flow of the topic. Hence the spam warning. People who comment "no" or other one word answers generally fly under the radar because they are primarily commenting on one thread. You have gone from shit post, to spam, to general community annoyance. All you have to do is stop. Contribute to the post in a more constructive way and you should be fine. Good luck.
