Did you take a class with Alex on how to make PnW more into a bad Nation states? I really like Alex's kickoff but the long term could be better, as I really like the alliance system but after all the NAP discussions over the past year or even more the conclusion is farming until freaking May? I'd vote for a stop on all war mechanics developments and have Alex input a tiny tractor gif somewhere.

Bit besides the op but why do non-white peaces seem a thing of the past? No more putting the other party down with memes or big cash prizes?

The Pantheon Historical Project Announcement

I'd talk to Veinscal about how this game was won by them. #putonthoseshadesbceclipse4fa. -
Alliances ruin a lot of the mid and end game
Arthur Wellington replied to RARS's topic in Alliance Affairs
He is 100% right ofcourse, despite not being higher as a c20. There is no game outside of the alliance system, something that isn't advertised and ofc is misleading for newer nations. -
Or sell the game to a company that can put pro's on the further development if there is no more interest from the creator.

Why Politics and War is Dead During Peace
Arthur Wellington replied to MrBeast6000's topic in Orbis Central
I think it all boils down to Alex. I'm really curious if he intends to keep changes small and keep the game like it is and has been or is he willing to shake things up? And does he consider that a difference between keeping players happy or driving core players away or is it something else all together? -
@Alex Soon I will be playing Politics and War for over 3000 days. I've enjoyed it very much and hopefully I will do so for another 3000 days. I am however a bit afraid. At first you advertised as a better alternative to Cyber Nations, another nation sim I've enjoyed for several years before joining Politics and War. At the moment I'm seeing similarities between late stage CN and PnW. The reasons have been named and stated here and on discord over and over, lack of development, hardly any hardcore new content, stagnant gameplay to keep whales paying player satisfied and many patchwork fixes, etc, etc. Ofcourse I'm glad with all the input of the development team and there are changes made but it doesn't change my feeling of late stage browsergamerites. I may be wrong ofcourse but I have two questions Alex, 1. Do you plan do hire a team (of professional/semi professionals) to work on bigger changes that are planned now? 2. Has, and if so how, your attitude towards PnW changed between the start and now? Assuming it some sort of perhaps the income source for you instead of a startup in a niche game? P.s. Let me again state that I might be wrong and missing the bigger picture here, and again, I do appreciate the work done by people on PnW (except for the new war screen layout ;-))

Game Development Discussion: Generals
Arthur Wellington replied to KindaEpicMoah's topic in Game Discussion
Xp gaining would benefit raiders mostly, is that the intent? -
I know it's a no discussion forum so I do apologize ahead of my main message which is, Don't use discord tickets! A few dozen of us read the mod topics with a passion and will loose (like we have for a while now) an important facet of PnW.. #weneedforumdrama #whoiswithmehere?

It's p.p.s. not p.s.s. Just pronounce the latter out loud on you will realize why

NPO should return

This thread is what James Corden is to talk shows. It was good to not have to snipe for once and no salt also is nice for a change. A pinch of degrading meme post peace conditions would have been nice..

League Of Nations II Founded Today!
Arthur Wellington replied to Coffee Man Coffee's topic in Alliance Affairs
I'm all for all alliances, big or micro, posting here, go ahead! But you seem to repeat stuff but not really engage or anything. Perhaps you can use the recruitment part of the forums better? -
As part of Eclipse I'm not surprised by this war. But I haven't seen a very descent CB besides being victorious in the past, as in the sence that there aren't any really nasty reasons to fight. Seems like the DoWs of Eclipse in the past havent been nasty neither, nor are the ones now. Trying to frame Pascal into something besides that seems silly bc it does take an impressive amount of alliances to do this. There is no salt to be found in the channels I'm in. But I might be wrong.

I dunno about high govs but we low govs love everyone with a passion!

[Politics] Don't Be A Follower, Be A Leader
Arthur Wellington replied to Velyni Vas's topic in Orbis Central
I'd hate to lead anything. I'd much rather follow. Leading seems really really tiresome? -
I think the experience for regular members might have been pretty similar, the aftermath at least. Many people deleted and gone, entire alliances disbanded and the entire eco system of the game changed. But when I look at the game at this moment, besides the apparent feelings ppl talk about, I see a functioning and complete game including all the aspects before NPOlt. I'm not arguing a black/white case but I do wonder if the effects aren't at least in part being kept alive by the narration of it all and not nessesarly the actual effects? I get those two might seem the same and while they do have overlap for sure I wonder how factual it all would be if you compare activity, including inter alliance activity and activity within alliances now to the time prior to npolt. I'm not that into the hardcore PnW innercrowd with its shared viewpoints and lingo, but I do enjoy the community activites in general, and I still think using NPO as a reference point doesn't do justice to current day players.

Btw, Detective Hodor, few points there, * I'm unbelievable because once a member of BK? * If so, not believable because being part of a certain side * If so, every aa member opposed to NPO is unbelievable as well? And for the last time, I do think NPO Lt was a very shitty thing! Good thats gone and done with. I just have a different view on the RP part of this game, its relevance and its impact.

Oh both of you sod off with your condensing tones, laughing your ass oooooofffff at a clear misrepresention of my thoughts on online friendships and calling me an asshat. Im simply stating my views on the hole issue and phrasing of it and trying to make light of it (because that's my whole point!) especially trying not to make it personal but not going along with the emotional way of looking at pnw history. I'm not being humble towards other views while also not disrespecting other views. I do agree NPO did a bad thing, I just think their role anno 2023 shouldn't be as big as it is now, and sure, disagree with me! Too finalize for me, I'll stop replying now. I actually really like this game and its community. Not because I agree but I like the diversity and the engagement, also of kastor and Adrienne and many others (not you Mayor ;-)). I do realize my view differs and my intent isn't to troll or make people feel bad or stupid or anything, but I do feel I can add something by sharing my view. That's it.
-
I'm sorry that my view isnt in line with yours and that upsets people. Kastor points out my view is weird and I try to explain that people don't vanish if they leave PnW, not going along with the idea I'd think you can't have online friends. Sure one can.

Lmfaooooo to yours, people deleting their PnW account don't die like we are in the matrix? You can still contact them via discord, CN or NS?? What rabbit hold did I get myself in?
