  1. o/ good luck comrades. I've always liked you, milkman, so I hope things work out for you. Kinda wondering why you'd all let Kaufmann be the leader after all that's happened recently.
  2. God, no offense but you guys are full of shit. Yes, you're basing your logics on a slippery slope fallacy and most of your arguments aren't even based on any source of fact. Sure, a lot of the laws we have today come from the abramatic religions. However, the reason why paedophilia and bestiality are still illegal isn't because and thanks to the church. We condemn these two acts because it's about having a sexual relation with someone or something that is sentient but can't consent. Thus it's rape. A child can't completely give their consent to have sex, which is why we have laws that prevent people who are of legal age to have sex with someone who's a minor. Animals can't talk or express themselves in an acceptable manner, thus there's no way to know if it consents before you have sex with it. Two or more sane, sober and willing adults can consent to having sex. If a man and a woman can have sex without it automatically being rape, then so can two or more people of the same gender have sex with consent. That's the whole idea of why this should be legal while paedophilia and bestiality are illegal and will be illegal for a long time. And I seriously don't understand your scares concerning bigami/polyamoury. If all the parties are consenting, why should the state decide if they can get married or not? What does it matter to anyone else if it's 2 or 5 people getting married to each other? I seriously don't understand your logics. If no one is being hurt or forced in to doing something they don't want or can't possible consent to then why should the state stop them?
  3. Nobody likes a snitch, pal!
  4. You think we'd just give out free booze? It's a byob party, pal
  5. Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. After much demand from all of our friends and fans we from the Charming Friends alliance have now opened up our very own IRC channel. It features high-end technology such as: text bleeps and bloops that thing where you can slap someone with a fish kicks AND bans! And much much more. Not only that! Since it's our grand opening you are all welcome for a Q&A session with me, your friend and host Satisfriend. Make sure to check in our beautiful, sizzling new channel #charmingfriends on coldfront.
  6. You say potatoe, I say pötatoe, you say micros, I say bless your tiny little heart.
  7. I for one would like it if you refereed to us as a macro alliance. Or m'lord. Doesn't really matter. Thanks in advance.
  8. This is kinda offtopic, can you please talk about the actual topic or make another thread or something?
  9. This is like manipulation for middle schoolers, come on...
  10. Psst, I think they were joking. You might be joking as well. In that case I'm being meta ironic.
  11. Kudos for getting my drift.
  12. A casus belli here doesn't work like in CK2 or similar games so the point of having to prove the validity of a CB is kinda moot. Not only that, but this is a roleplaying game. We create our own reasons and conflicts. CB might for someone seem as weird and bullshit, but that's because it's not real. You're not the despot of an actual nation, with actual people in an actual state alliance. This is a game. You make up things as you go. But that also means that the people in the community gets to decide if they think the casus belli is strong enough to wage a war against someone. If you were to write a CB thread about how a war against me has started because I disagreed with you in a thread people might object for different reasons. The important thing for this isn't whether it's a valid reason or not, what's important is what this reflects on you. It might make people think you're abrasive and can't take criticism, which can have consequences on how other nations and alliances treats you. But some casus belli might not be 100% true. The rpg aspect encourages us to do entertaining and fun things. Where I to write a casus belli against the justice department where I write that I a representative of an anarchist nation with a strong hate against the police and the law, that might not be true but that might not matter to me at all since I'm roleplaying. The reason why we don't have restrictions or rules on how CB's are suppose to be about is because that would extremely limit us in how we play this game. Some people just like the simulation aspect of the game, others enjoy the rp. There's no need to punish the latter group because first group enjoy something else.
  13. Thanks for the explaination. Kinda funny that that's the word being used, since poaching used to be the illegal act of hunting the king's game, which was his property. So in this case the members of an alliance is the alliance's property? Either way, the consequence of losing prestige for poaching another alliance's members is enough in my opinion. It's a desperate and sad attempt. Demanding money from a poaching alliance is almost as embarrassing. This is sadness on all fronts.
  14. I'm glad you guys got rid of sparky but... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M2a767Iktxw
  15. What's the difference between raiding and poaching? Or are you all just using it as a synonym? Edit: Or wait, is it like contacting another alliance's member to convince them to join your alliance?
  16. Doesn't seem that weird when Grealind refuses to let go of his baby. Don't look back in anger, guys!
  17. I honestly don't think most alliances who have members active on the forum would just up and about let some rando get access to their treasury. But I do admit that it's pretty kind of you to warn the rest of us.
  18. I wouldn't wanna be in an alliance that 1.Only has members to earn money and doesn't give a shit about them. 2. Let's a member who !@#$ed up stay just because. Having 5 decent trustworthy nations is way better than 6 nations where one is actively working against the alliance's wishes.
  19. You mean the mods don't act and think in the exact same way I do? That's f****d up
  20. The fact that he got reset rather than outright banned probably shows that he didn't exploit money.
  21. It's sad that the ol' ship never got to sail for long, but I hope we in the future can party once again.
  22. That's true, but I assume another peace is gonna lower the price further.
