5 ways not to run an alliance(why most micros never grow)
Kastor replied to Wendell Williams's topic in Orbis Central
Rule 1. Majority of this advice is utter garbage and the people who gave it almost never built an alliance “ground-up”. -
I think if they were rolled by anyone other than NR, it would be fair. It isn’t fair that NR cheated to roll them.
-
It’s not fair to Pantheon that they were attacked and beaten by cheaters.
-
Since NR cheated, and used their cheating methods to take down Pantheon. What will happen with them? @Alex Its very clear to say that if NR hadn’t have cheated, Pantheon would’ve never gotten destroyed.

Tywin had reasons, he was protecting his family. The Emperor is a bad guy we see in 1 movie, the real bad guy is Darth Vader who is corrupted and turns good at the end(spoiler alert). Thanos, Voldermort, and Sauron all had reasonings when you read the books. Very few characters in writing do things for no reason.

PW Expert Has Nerve To Tell You How To Run Your Own Goddamn Alliance
Kastor replied to Ayayay's topic in Alliance Affairs
I like this. -
Advisory Warning When executing a Sabotage Nuclear Weapons operation, note that you will be unable to destroy Nuclear Weapons created within 12 turns (24 hours) of the last 12AM (midnight) server update. This is to prevent Nuclear Weapons from immediately being sabotaged after creation. Why is this a thing, and why can’t we get rid of this. If it gets spied away, it gets spied away.

When have we ever seen that?

Should’ve just dropped them.

Shoutout to Soup for knocking Fark below TGH tho.

"We're gonna hit you with first strike advantage while you're not online and without you having military, and see what we can do. Also, if you call in any allies or friends to help you, Chaos bloc will roll you. But this is fair, trust us, we're bringing community outreach." Feel free to bring that outreach to TGH, we're waiting.

Soooo...Buorhann states he was gonna hit Polaris, who our beef was with, and had no quarrels with IQ and we were paid to hit. He also says he wasn't going to join that war. Where exactly did Buorhann lie here?

Basic question while everyone is doing things. Are you interested in fighting an alliance/sphere that was per say the biggest sphere, simply because they didn't go mini sphere and became a major power? This isn't a shot at BK, I know some of the other stuff you're doing/planning. I just want to know what people think.
-
You guys have 37 nations at the (24) city and up mark to our 58. Now between (17) and (23) which is arguably right around mid tier and you can easily fight others, you guys have 285 to our 104. To make the macro case against your point, between the 17-23 mark, you have almost 35% of all nations between that range. Either way, it doesn't seem like you learned from the pst 3 major wars, people don't like when you control an entire tier, and you're making good on the case to try to control the lower/mid tier. Wasn't it BK FA which you were apart of that pulled off the biggest political blunder which led to the biggest stretch of stagnation and tiering difference in the game's history?
-
Looking, I can probably say that BK is going to cut loose Polaris, or Polaris will cut them loose through NPO. GoTG will probably go as well, leaving them to sign in Afrika Korps and Camelot to MDPs. Frontier will probably stay home with them as well. The next question will be if GoTG will want to get out of that sphere or stay home as well. I wouldn't be surprised either way. Regardless, they're either going to give "enemies" their protectorates or keep them and stay the biggest sphere. This wasn't a great move for BK, they're going to either drop a ton of allies or keep them and be the constant target(simply because no one wants the #1 to stay #1, and if they're the biggest, people will likely try to knock them down). Either way they go, they're not going to be in the best position, and its simply because they allied TCW. The TCW curse strikes again.
-
I guess I know who KETOG is rolling first. Unrelated: The fact is BK now has the biggest spheres in direct ties and indirect ties. Trying to troll or ignore out of it isn't going to change anything. Facts don't care about your feelings.

Enable Alliance Leaders to Set Embargoes For Members
Kastor replied to The Mad Titan's topic in Game Suggestions
IF they don't like it they can leave, I'm not sure why you think its such a terrible idea, honestly. Would you restrict alliances taxing members, saying that the members need to manually put their money in each turn? No, of course not, if players don't like the tax rate they can go somewhere else. Its really the same thing, idk why you've always died on this hill, practically no one else agrees with you. Members, alliance leaders, and everyone else agree with this. Its got broad support. In terms of admining, I would just say that members are usually not active unless they join the community of an alliance/overall community. So "sovereignty of individual players" isn't a good defense considering that, even without people raiding you 24/7, its practically impossible to grow without the help of others(trade, loans, grants, raiding others, etc). Most players would leave the game before it was time to buy city #10. Alliances are the lifeblood of the game. You have reversed SEVERAL coups to keep players in SEVERAL alliances happy. Why would you not add a feature a lot of people want? -
*makes a topic to drum up a discussion based off something the leader of BK said* >somehow wants to be relevant >Realizes most people don’t have a coherent argument >goes to sleep
