I just want to say: It takes a lot of courage and balls to punch an alliance bigger, richer, more numerous, and stronger than you. Especially to do so by yourself, knowing that your target has allies that aren't the biggest pushovers either. I can always appreciate actions like this.

Tier list: ______ Midgard is pretty thick and girthy, but they don't have any cities. Maybe they'll be a threat if they grow all those dudes over the course of 18 months or something, but that's a problem for the future version of ourselves. Plus the rest of the game can come together to smack them down if need be. I don't think that's necessary though. A true superbloc is one where, if the entire outgroup came together to smack them, that it would still be a tough fight or otherwise uncompetitive. I believe we are far away from that.

I implore you to consider just being a normal dude in another alliance. Playing P&W but not in gov. It's the best of both worlds because you get to enjoy the game and community without the burden of command. In any case, good luck on things fren.

Humanitarian aid to the third world actually undermines their success. Clothes donations destroys local business (you can't compete with free). Food aid disincentives people to learn agriculture. Plus, the populations of these third world countries are directly related to how much food there is. With all this food aid, the women - having no access to birth control - keep having children. These children are then in turn are used as justification for more food aid. So, you have all these people who don't know how to grow their own food, and they're reliant on the West for food. Well, what happens if that food chain gets disrupted? You're then looking at mass starvation. This already happened with COVID lockdowns. It's going to happen again - but worse - due to climate change. What happens if the Russo-Ukraine war causes a limited nuclear exchange? Won't be pretty! If I recall correctly, African fertility is starting to drop. They also are getting wealthier. Perhaps in the coming decades, their population will become more sustainable, and they'll be growing more of their own food. However, I am completely against more of my own tax dollars going overseas. American quality of life keeps declining, and we need to give more to foreigners?! Lol, no thank you!

New Pacific Order benefitted greatly from being an actual community. The unity of their members transcended Politics and War. If the P&W servers went offline right before NPOLT started (or even today), the New Pacific Order community would still exist. The same really can't be said for almost all P&W alliances. Because of this unity, NPO members were scarily loyal. They did exactly what they were told to do when they were told to do it. It also allowed their decision makers to conduct themselves with a completely different mindset from the rest of the game. P&W decision makers ask, "how do we further ourselves in Politics and War?" Whereas NPO's decision makers asked themselves, "how do we further our community?" Eventually they concluded that their enemies' continued existence in this game was an intolerable situation, and they acted as such when they had the opportunity to. Perhaps there are entities in P&W rn that do want to win, but I don't think anybody really has the spirit to do it. Unless you're willing to force all others to bend the knee to you or quit the game, then it's not possible to win. You also have to be very competent to enact that spirit as well; and again, I don't think anybody is competent enough to do so. A lot of the big power players would have to undergo a complete shift in principles, and then band together, and then stay together, and then survive all internal and external attempts to unmake their grouping, and then maintain a specific status quo indefinitely through diplomacy and war making. I just don't think the will or ability exists within anyone or anything for this to happen anytime soon. It took NPO and Inquisition years to do it (and they still ultimately failed). Now we have a multi-polar world where everyone in anchored to P&W, so it would probably be harder for such a puzzle to be started, let alone completed and to ultimately succeed.
