I'm sad to fight our former allies of the WWF days, VE was a great ally to have. I do not consider you as enemies, rather the shifting sands of time have brought us to the current point in time. If a nation is running a deficit of some resource and has a stockpile of it, mark the stockpile on the top bar red and display a simple counter next to it which would say when the resource runs out, marking the days wit a "d" and turns with a "t". That way the player has better information for making purchases and increasing his stockpile. For example: 1010.00 (5d2t) 600.76 82.35 304.19 802.71(2d9t) 150.15 1523.54 1396.63 1643.19 1055.50 670.55(2t) $ 1,267,330.41 The other possibility would be to show that information on the Revenue page. EDIT: Also make the icons on the top bar clickable - if i have deficit of something then it takes me to the world market buy screen for that particular resource and if I have a surplus then to the "make an offer" screen. World Market: Currently the world marked works in a way that leads to occasional frustration and using the calculator. The player who wants to buy something from the offers there has to input a number of a resource he wants to purchase. For example the another nation is selling 9534 food for 109 PPU (total price 1,039,206). You know you need to import food, but you have a mere 150,000 at hand. So you either calculate on the top of your head the number of food you can buy and get it wrong or you whip out your calculator to calculate it. It would be a lot easier if the player could input the amount of money he is willing to spend and the game calculates the amount of a resource he gets for it and displays it before hitting the buy button.
