  1. Honestly I find this to be as pointless as the idea to stop counting inactives in the alliance score rankings. There's a point of inactivity at which it's been decided that it's no longer worth keeping the nations alive, and they're deleted. It's been set at 30 days. Until they get deleted, they're still nations, and still in whatever alliance has chosen to accept them. They exist, and they're an alliance member. They should still have taxes collected, they should still be counted in rankings, etc and so forth. If they haven't been inactive long enough to get deleted, there's no reason they should arbitrarily no longer be taxed, or booted out of their alliance, or whatever. Let alliances choose to handle their own members however they want. If the 30 day timer for deletion is too long, then reduce it. Don't create subtimers that serve no purpose other than to satisfy a group of players who don't like inactives, want to raid them, and don't want to see alliances who aren't as strict with inactives as they are profit off of the game tax system. If alliances want to use inactives as a tax farm, as I see it, it's a completely legitimate tactic. It's got it's own set of disadvantages it causes, and the response to it shouldn't be to legislate it out of the game because some players don't like it. As long as players haven't been inactive long enough to be deleted, they should be treated like the other nations in the game.
  2. ^ Yep. That was definitely the missing ingredient in making Orbis excellent.
  3. Good luck to DEIC moving forward. o/ Diabolos, enjoy retirement.
  4. I've been promoted to Don. I like this. Should have put a knife in my back when you had the chance Cody
  5. Paperless protectorates tend to increase my workload quite a bit, and principles will always fall in the face of my overwhelming laziness. But nah, since the whole point of a protectorate is to keep a small alliance from being hit, it works way better when it's actively spelled out. (Though I suppose that same argument has been made for treaties ) We've always had an exception in our policy for protectorates though, way back to when we first implemented it on another world.
  6. There's a PR campaign during the war certainly. Just like there's a PR campaign constantly really. The idea that there's a smear campaign against Diabolos is an example of Saru waging his continuing PR campaign. If Diabolos is disliked to the extent that numerous people all over the world (including multiple ex-DEIC members, and even ex-DEIC gov members) want to take shots at him, maybe it's because there's something in the way he communicates and acts that drives that alienates a lot of people? Nah, what am I saying, it's much more likely that people from all over Orbis decided they wanted to smear his good name for no reason other than shits and giggles.
  7. o/ Reagan. This was supposed to be up simultaneous to his DoE, but I'm lazy and Reagan got tired of waiting
  8. Of the 8 alliances (included NSO this time Otto ) involved in this war, 3 of them fought in the TC - TAC conflict. SK, Guardian, TEst, BoC and NSO were not involved in that fight.
  9. Those distinguished members who said colorbombing alliances shouldn't count are correct imo. I also agree that a depiction of who declared who on who isn't really that relevant, a graph of who fought who is what actually matters. DoW themselves can easily be added in a text list, you don't get any benefit from the graphic representation.
  10. Well that's good to know, but given that Safari is ~45% of the mobile browser market, it's a bug that needs to be fixed if the purpose of the redesign was to make the site better on mobile. Safari on the computer is one thing, but if this occurs on Safari on iPhone and iPad as well, all the redesign has done is make the site worse for roughly half of the mobile/tablet user base. !@#$ being small and poorly laid out on a phone was irritating. Not being able to see half of your resources and money makes it unusable. (Doesn't affect me personally, I use Chrome on mobile and web. But the point stands.)
  11. I'm experiencing the same issue on my computer when I use Safari. It doesn't occur if I use Chrome. I couldn't test with FF, I don't have it installed anymore.
  12. Who is writing your announcements? I need to know so I can hunt him down and end him. He's impinging on my territory as the most pompous douche around.
  13. o/ Pub We've certainly had our share of disagreements and arguments, but we always got along despite that. Rose will miss you at it's head. Good luck to the new Rose gov. Also, thank !@#$, you finally got abbas out of gov. Took you long enough.
  14. The obvious problem with this is if it's based on alliance spy count, it's hugely biased towards large alliances. Small groups are !@#$ed.
  15. That's hardly an insurmountable obstacle. In fact, with most alliances, it's trivial to get info on what's in the bank by beiging a member without tipping the alliance in question off. A) Hire someone you trust, in an unaffiliated group to beige them for you. They then tell you what was in the bank. B ) Smaller and inactive alliance members are raided all the time. Look at the bank transactions of the nations that raider them. It tells you exactly what they received, and what % of the bank it was. (This is how the Marionette Coalition found out what was in TC banks pre war)
  16. Dunno how active in the conversation I'll be, but I can at least broadcast it.
  17. o/ The Marionette Coalition. It was a fun ride, but all things come to an end. Wherever our alliances end up, we'll always have the time I spent cursing you all out in backchannels o/ Hans and Diabolos, it was a pleasure talking to you these last few days. o/ Emmad and Diego Rivera, you two punched back even though you were clearly outgunned by the time your fights with me started. I respect that a lot.
  18. I can also confirm. Post update it still tells me I have no spy op available for the day. Cody confirms the recruiting bug as well.
  19. 75%? ROFL. TC wouldn't need to worry about the war if that was true. If we raised our taxes that high we'd be fighting off a revolutionary horde.
