The problem for black people is, aside from a universal but mild level of racism in American society, is the existence and perpetuation of the black lumpenproletariat. While a lumpenproletariat must exist in any society, a racial bottom-tier causes unnecessary problems to the first and second categories, and, to put it bluntly, black trash at least deserves to be treated the same way as white trash.

 

Where is your evidence that they aren't treated the same as white trash?  The fact that you dont hear about it on the news?  Guess what, when a cop kills an unarmed white person, no one cares, so you don't hear about it.

I like how people here say that the riots are justified because non violent protests don't work. Really, do you expect these riots to accomplish anything. Yes, they bring the issue to everyone's attention, however most of what they are focusing on is a bunch of black people participating in acts of violence and vandalism, NOT the death of the guy whose death inspired the riots.

Sure. If your dog attacks someone else, is it your responsibility? If you're talking about disenfranchised people who have minimal agency compared to the other classes of America, the fact that they have minimal agency means that it's more your fault than theirs because your level of agency outweighs theirs; you have the resources and time available to make positive changes, they don't.

 

Note that I am being condescending to what black people call the "n" word. They deserve it, but they also deserve compassion for their plight.

And countless more committed by whites blacks or god knows what else. Not everyone can make CNN.

But that being said, !@#$ those six cops. They deserve to be convicted of all those charges. I'm sick of arguing this and that's all I have to say.

I find it hard to be very sympathetic to those who riot and use violence.  I can only hope that these people will spend time in jail instead of some hand wringer trying to exuse their actions away.  But then no doubt its the fault of the police as people have no responsiblity for their own actions anymore, at least if you are a minority demographic.
