And, treaties are completely useless, just a way for people to build their armed forces up and strike back Treaties are worthless? Then why is NATO the sole power in the world? Treaties are nothing more than the concept of "agreement", signed on paper by participating parties. This is something you see in every day life from monetary transactions to birth certificates and marriage. It's simply a way of proving that two or more parties have agreed on something. But I'm not sure why you felt the need to mention that. And it actually wouldn't be a cork or anything, it would do absolutely nothing. I should have known better than to try to debate in PW. There's lots of evidence...but the sources are insane and antisemitic. That's the beauty of the thing. It's too crazy and sensitive to even question it. I agree. Also, what about the Rhineland? There was suppose to be an army there. But the Third Reich didn't need to fire anything. But to be serious, without Militarism you wouldn't have a poweful nation. (Looking at North Korea and China). Having a Militarized society protects your independence, because treatys are just pieces of papers, no one will actually listen to those, if they come in with full force of a invasion. Well sure. Militaries are practically inevitable for the most powerful nations. However, I don't view militaries as actually being necessary mostly because I don't believe nationalism or nations are necessary. It's just a piss poor excuse to mass murder each other over a planet that only permits us to even exist. I'm pretty sure there were several excuses that equally contributed. czechoslovakia had a standing army ready to defend, but didn't because they had no aid from France or Britain. chekersland was also invaded virtually on horseback. Europe could have easily stopped the entire war right there. The allies had the chance. Apparently nobody thought Hitler was a bad guy until he started killing people.
