Anarchist Empire Posted October 4, 2023 Share Posted October 4, 2023 (edited) I think it's good to give members a choice between grants and taxes; or no taxes and they manage their own finances. However makes sense to use the money taxed from people to help them grow. I prefer freedom to do what I want over getting grants, but should give back to taxed nations in the form of grants probably. No taxes was appealing to me, so Eclipse was appealing. However if I joined a quality alliances which taxes, would be getting cities paid for & growing that way during peace at least. So not a bad deal to pay some taxes as long as you're getting something back. (If I were to choose to be taxed in Eclipse, would get grants as well. I like freedom to do what I want.)
