  1. Can't wait to get caught up on this week's episode!
  2. Our scientists have run some tests on the supposed composition of Pian after some citizens noticed a familiar... homely smell and have determined that it has a few more substances in it then was originally told; it's closest cousin would be soylent green... which is made of people. We welcome the UF to the world however we must protest the added ingredient given our pork-rind factories hold a patent on making things out of humans; our lawyers will be in touch. Warmest Regards, Thulium of the Pleasuredome
  3. Creeam of the crop, macho man randy savage is the cream of the crop ooooh yea oh yea cream of the crop.

Oooooooooh Yeaaaaaah. Welcome to the World you guys.
  5. I for one hope the rebuilding efforts for both sides go through without any hiccups and we get Orbis back on the right path again... making money for us all. Ë™lÇÇʇs Çɹoɯ ÊŽnq
  6. Steel & Aluminum should do pretty well over the next week as alliances rebuild themselves.
  7. Thanks for the clarification BoC. tl;dr just common sense raiding terms.
  8. I don't mind it or any other "insults" to be used. Because it doesn't offend me nor would anything else said over a forum. Frankly the words of players that I'll never met thousands of miles away has absolutely no bearing on how i'll feel. Not to mention in a game where politics and fighting can become vitriolic it's entertaining to see people talking shit to one another and so in a way I'd actually hate for it to be "outlawed." If someone want's to play a game or participate in a world where "swear words" and harmful statements are shunned; I'd suggest Club Penguin as a viable alternative ya giant babies! That's my two cents at least.
  9. The Pleasuredome issues the following statement: "It is with a heavy heart that we say the following, any nation found to be undercutting our market offers will be forever banned from entering the pleasure houses of our great nation. Furthermore, the purple people are rude and threatening war against any alliances seeking to join Purple is an outrageous offense!"
  10. It's clear that some people haven't ever danced this dance before and so without knowing the steps they're just flailing around and making fools of themselves.
  11. The details are debatable but one thing is certain, sheepy was the second shooter.
  12. It was a major step down from Civ 5 for me... definitely not worth the full price but I do see some glimmers of a good game buried somewhere in there. With some work, patches, and dlc it'll be a solid addition to the Civ series just like Civ5 eventually became. The only thing though, this was not developed by a full civ team and so it's not going to receive anywhere near the same amount of attention, refining, and dlc as 5 did. So yeah, if it's up to me I'm not buying it until the civ-BE gold is released w/ all DLC at a total price of like $10.
  13. Congrats on the charter and welcome to Orbis.
  14. It was pretty obvious that TAC were beating EoS at the start when it was a 1v1... but that's irrelevant now because honor & moral victories don't do anything to wash away the blood stains from ones clothes after that fight became a 3v1 beatdown. The only thing the stats really say to me at this point is that Purple are pretty close to ending the "threat" of TAC and so it'll be interesting to see if they decide to continue pummeling them; as that would reveal an entirely different set of goals to the "self defense" line we've been fed so far. tl;dr People can deal with beating someone up, but beating them to death and then poking at them as they lay dying isn't really palatable to most people.
  15. It's the start of a race and one team have proclaimed victory after the first lap... and yet there are many more laps left to run. I wonder who'll be in the lead when the race is finally all said and done?
  16. If you were being beaten down by a group of people in an alleyway with no sign of help coming would you politely ask them to stop or would you be reaching for whatever shards of glass lay on the floor within reach?
  17. Kill one, you're crazy. Kill many, you're a psychopath. Kill them all, you're an insurance company. - Colonial Sanders
  18. And thus began the Cornland Resistance Movement... mark this day on your calendars Orbinites for I believe this could be quite the interesting event.
  19. I think the intent on this is just to band against raiders and less so to stand together completely. Which is fine and really is a nice and unique starting point for setting up bigger things down the line. I like the approach personally as it's focused on a specific thing rather then being a generalized ODP. So kudos for doing things differently Asgard.
  20. Adding a percentage bonus to resource production tied to whatever resource union would be a good incentive I think. Limiting the number of unions a player could be in to a total max of two; one per raw resource & refined would prevent it being outright abused to boost all resources. Lore wise, it'd be a simple as saying unions hold "trade secrets" to better methods of refining a resource. IE: Iron Union receives a 2.0 boost to resource production. Iron Union sets prices to 1.5k PPU and sure there will be nations outside of it but then members of the Iron Union can simply buy them out and resale at their price point and if a union's active it'll basically dominate the markets. As for controlling the unions I think there would need to be some form of a "rainbow" council in the sense that each alliance could have a designated nation as their representative to the unions to set a price point. In essence creating mini OPECS for each resource with their own councils. This would also give incentive for unaligned nations to join alliances in order to benefit from these unions. In effect giving alliances a new job, a Minister (or Ministry) of Resources. --- As for the Rainbow council suggestion itself, I think it's a bit weaker independently because alliances would just use them to set embargo's on each other during wars and that would only harm the markets. I think the above suggestion holds a bit more teeth personally and is a bit less prone to abuse given it's much harder to have all of the alliances represented agreeing on a measure then it would be for the 1-3 per color.
  21. Really it's a matter of playerbase... the majority of nations in the game are capitalizing on the market but because we only have a little over 1k players in the game we have way more supply then demand can really satisfy. Most of the major alliances and nations in the game have largely gained the stockpiles needed and so they're not buying as much anymore... but more and more people have continued to jump on the market fever leading to the collapse we've had now. I kinda expected this to happen, as with every real life market boom there is eventually a "correction" that'll knock prices down a bit. Often times it'll be a bit of a recession of sorts in that markets will drop but after a time those prices become the new normal and so eventually when they rise again the cycle repeats itself. tl;dr markets were on all time highs and collapsed as player demand exceeds supply, recruit more players to improve overall market demand & wait for the markets to rebuild themselves in the post war environment.
