  1. I went (I think) first city at 400 infra, then buy 2nd (I think) 2 cities at 500 infra, then buy 3rd 3 cities at 600 infra, then buy 4th 3 cities at 700, 1 city at 800 (farm town), then buy 5th Planning to get my 6th at 900 infra per city.
  2. Yup, plus pretty much all of TEst's opponents are blockaded.
  3. The buy/sell offers could even overlap if you get a few people that aren't paying attention. Anyways, pretty nice jump in bauxite prices earlier today, it'll be interesting to see if they'll return back to normal or stay higher than before. Maybe people are figuring out that aluminum is quite profitable to produce.
  4. This is kind of disappointing... I hope you'll reconsider your decision to leave.
  5. This nation applied to Guardian sometime last night. https://politicsandwar.com/nation/id=5510 But if you check his trade history, it shows him as having the Guardian alliance tag for several days before. https://politicsandwar.com/nation/id=5510&display=trade
  6. More like if people realize how badly they're pricing certain resources I won't be able to buy them for a steal... or sell for a fortune, depending on the resource.
  7. Well, I tried selling gas when the market temporarily ran out and it was selling at $6000-7000 apiece. The only person who bought from me was a guy who was trying to stop me from undercutting him (and only bought about 15 gas). If you try to keep prices too high, people will just wait it out or produce their own resources and the producers get impatient that their inventory is piling up and just undercut each other until prices aren't so high anymore and more people start buying.
  8. Good job! Shouldn't TAC have lost 4 members of the 27th though?
  9. What TAC was doing is probably similar to what the USA/USSR/Russia/China and really any rival powers do which is plan how to deal with the potential threat their rivals pose. And BTW I'm sure in many cases they have intel of their rivals making such plans. In your terrorist example, the terrorist group is likely planning to attack someone that isn't a threat to them, especially since they usually target civilians. TAC saw PPC as a threat so it's different. There's also a difference between discussing hypothetical scenarios 2 months ago and something more concrete and recent, like if you were to get leaked info 1-2 days before declaring that Pubstomper told his membership to stockpile resources and begin military build up because they're going to go to war with EoS.
  10. I think it's an excuse to go to war for each other.
  11. I'm not sure East Germany is a very good example. I don't think the East Germans ever really considered the West their enemy, they just didn't speak up against Communism out of fear. Nor did they have any real issues with other groups within Germany like the various groups within Iraq have with each other.
  12. In light of a shortage in steel, the nation of Movania has decided to sell steel at $5000 ppu. Quick, get it while it lasts!
  13. If you click on the "?" next to "Average Income" on the city page, it says. But policies aren't supposed to have an effect, right?
  14. It does increase with fewer alliances, but it also increases with more players on said colour. The increase from more players was greater than the decrease in bonus from more alliances.
  15. So just for the record, total damages were: Guardian 580.04 Infra, 17,760 soldiers, 346 tanks, 15 aircraft, 1 ship, $29,347.8 loot SK (all Aisha Greyjoy) 262.63 Infra, 3,340 soldiers, 177 tanks, 3 aircraft, 0 ships, $0 loot TAC (Jorji) 117.23 Infra, 8,523 soldiers, 78 tanks, 0 aircraft, 0 ships, $0 loot UPN 240.12 infra, 7,743 soldiers, 86 tanks, 0 aircraft, 0 ships, $1003.67 loot Jejoshua 0 infra, 1,751 soldiers, 16 tanks, 0 aircraft, 0 ships, 0 loot The main thing is that Sly took out about half of Demon's ground forces and also his ship (which was blockading everyone who previously attempted to take him out) before UPN, Jorji and Aisha got into the fray. Guardian pumped about $600k into Sly's nation, combined with about $100k of his own funds and over 700 steel which was worth about $1 mil (plus munitions, aluminum, gas) to get his military over Demon's. We also got a $250k loan from TAC which was repaid and some resources from TEst The problem at first was that Demon was only about 50 score, but still had a huge military (500 tanks, 12k soldiers, 18 aircraft, 1 ship). The only people in range were nations with 2 small cities and little military, so it was not possible for well militarized nations to do much. The only way was to build up a small nation under attack by Demon (Sly). With Sly heavily built up, Demon felt he was forced to buy a 2nd city so he could train more soldiers/tanks to overtake Sly's military, which of course put him in range of much bigger nations (he had 102 score at one point) despite having a smaller military than when he had 50 score, so it was less difficult to do significant damage to his nation.
  16. What rate did you set it to?
  17. As long as you realize that the consequences include retaliation from the entire alliance, since that's what alliances are for. And it might be retaliation for more than just the length of one war.
  18. I logged in a couple minutes ago expecting to have 3 turns in my war and I only 2. I had 0 turns at 6pm game time. I don't know which turn I missed (8pm, 10pm or midnight). Also I can't train any troops because it says I trained the max (10,000) today when I haven't trained any. I trained those troops yesterday (Aug 30th).
  19. The most recent collection was $13,630 when the tax rate was 20% so the bug actually cost us $204,450.
  20. Nation Name: Movania Nation Link: http://politicsandwar.com/nation/id=732
  21. edit: sorry nvm I should've read the changelog...
