  1. Nearly 8 months ago, I was honored to accept an invitation to be a part of the moderation team here in Politics & War. Since that time, I have learned a lot, and contributed as much as I possibly could into making this community a great place to be a part of. I'd like to think that, at least on some levels, we've had success. I've watched the game evolve and the community grow. I'm proud to have served under Sheepy. He may be young, but he is one of the best admins I've known in these games. He cares about his players and his game. Recently, we brought a new moderator on board (Fizban) and I have faith that he will serve this community well. It is my belief that fresh blood can be good for the staff. With it comes new ideas, perspectives, and challenges. I believe he'll meet those challenges and support you all, and I hope that you'll support him, as well. With his arrival comes time for me to turn in my badge and collect an early retirement. My schedule is pretty tight these days and it'll be nice to take some time off. Thank you all for not making my job too terribly hard. Signing off, Mr. Blonde
  2. The War of Debatable Aggression
  3. I see that now, thanks.
  4. Posting account banned for no matching nation. Unless someone from either alliance can validate this treaty, I'm locking this thread.
  5. I've looked into it. There is no option for controlling this through the administrative control panel. It's strictly member preference. In your profile, under the Notifications settings, you should have the option to check if you want to enable automatic subscriptions or not, as well as other options. See the screenshot below. Let me know if you're having an issue with it.
  6. Nope. Haven't altered any settings for any groups.
  7. I find your lack of substance disturbing. Locked for spam.
  8. This alliance has a recruitment topic already. Closed.
  9. The sell is the purpose of these topics. Spamming recruitment threads asking for information already available isn't necessary.
  10. Review my reply in the bonus topic. It's being handled.
  11. It was only a matter of time before someone abused it. Posts in the Spam forum no longer count towards post count. Spamming anywhere else just to raise post count will result in warns, per the rules already in place. No limit on posting but posts must be relevant to the topic.
  12. It's based on logging in to your account.
  13. This is correct. If you have 612 posts, for example, you're eligible to receive $850k if you haven't already received any rewards. For further explanation, the titles Sheepy mentioned go along with the post count milestones, but not all members will show those titles. You have the option to change your title by editing your profile, but actual post counts are tracked through the forum top posters link. Sheepy has already begun going through the list and everyone will receive their rewards. Once we're up to speed, members reaching milestones in the future will most likely need to monitor their own post counts and request their compensation here. This program was implemented to encourage people to become involved in the community because that's where the game happens. Forum and IRC participation offer players a richer experience with the game. Ideas like this will hopefully get others involved while saying thank you to all of you who already are.
  14. Recruitment threads belong in the Alliance Recruitment forum and your alliance already has one there. Closed.
  15. Windows 8 is built on the Windows 7 framework, but as Sheepy said, performs better and uses less resources. Still, I'm not a fan of the interface. Windows 10 is right around the corner, though. I think you'll be happier with it when it becomes available.
