  1. Someone didn't listen to their fire safety instructor. Remember kids, never open a door that is hot to the touch or has smoke billowing through the cracks. That door is most likely holding back a fire and opening it will allow the fire to spread to more beautiful furniture.
  2. Congratulations and best of luck!
  3. mfw Milcom is supposed to be down for hell every 3 to 6 months... 😐
  4. No disrespect to any of the parties involved in this announcement, but I think it's worth noting for posterity that this NAP agreement is in fact an entirely separate NAP from the one that was agreed to by the belligerents in Dodge This. While this doesn't change anything in practice, I wouldn't want to set the precedent of an uninvolved third party being allowed to join an existing NAP agreement at the invitation of only a few of the signatories of the original NAP. The NAP end dates may align, but for all intents and purposes this should be considered a separate NAP agreement.
  5. Interesting move. Is this a record for the shortest amount of time it took a Kev-founded AA to merge? Jokes aside, best of luck with the merge!
  6. ESPN8: The Ocho Presents ODOO Tournament in Hollywood Cotton McKnight: Welcome everyone to another special evening in dodgeball, the most exhilarating sport on television. For the folks at home tuning in now, our broadcast of the latest Championship Game, featuring the current regionally-qualified ODOO teams and WELP, has just concluded. Pepper Brooks: And that was quite the face shot from WELP! Cotton McKnight: Indeed. That unsportsmanlike behaviour was painful to watch, though effective. Pepper: I cannot believe that the refs missed that call. Cotton: It happens. But tonight is the final match at the Orbitite Dodgeball Organization of Orbis’ regional tournament here in Hollywood, exclusively presented here on ESPN8: The Ocho. Isn’t this so exciting, Pepper? Pepper Brooks: It sure is exciting to be in Hollywood for the first time, but I must confess a sense of dĂ©jĂ  vu. Cotton: Me too, Pepper, but this is the first ODOO tournament to be held in Hollywood. Now I doubt many of our viewers need any additional context on the ins and outs of ODOO, but for the handful of you out there, let me remind you that the current regionally-qualified ODOO teams are gearing up for the ODOO annual championship tournament in Silicon Valley, where a winner will be crowned from among all the regionally-qualified teams. Today’s final match will determine the regional qualifying team from the Hollywood tournament, who will go on to compete in Silicon Valley. Pepper: For a FIFTY THOUSAND DOLLAR grand prize, Cotton! Cotton: Yes indeed, Pepper. This final match tonight will be played between Ball of Fame and the Clown Punchers, and while Ball of Fame are heavily favoured to win, the true beauty of this sport is its unpredictability. And if you don’t believe me, just remember that in the semi-final round this weekend, both teams playing tonight came out victorious against better-ranked opponents, the Untouchaballs and No Hit Sherlock. Pepper: I don’t think anyone was expecting this match-up for the final match! Cotton: No sir! Alright, the ref is coming out onto the court signaling the start of the match, so let’s tune in. [***] Cotton: My oh my, Pepper! Was that an impressive game or what? The last time I remember seeing such artful dodging was during the Group B qualifying round of the Lilongwe Open in 2004. Pepper: *whistles* These guys sure know how to dodge, Cotton! Cotton: The Clown Punchers have certainly earned their place in the annual ODOO championship tournament after their incredible win over Ball of Fame. I am eagerly looking forward to watching them compete in Hollywood and bring their top-notch gameplay to the tournament. Their future in the sport looks very promising if they continue to play at this level. For now though, we’re signing off and handing the mic over to our colleagues in Tashkent for our coverage of the Central Asian Women’s Underwater Rugby Championship. Pepper: Effin’ A, Cotton! Effin’ A! TL;DR: The Immortals join the Orbitite Dodgeball Organization of Orbis as full signatories of ODOO’s 5 Ds of Dodgeball treaty. ---------------------------- Signatures:
  7. This one was actually suggested by the losing side 😉 Generally I think it's easier to just have the involved parties agree on a war name hence why I wanted it included. Especially since Rush no longer wants to hold community votes so there's no clear process for naming wars otherwise.
  8. We did suggest "Half-Year Half-Time", but it didn't make the cut 😞
  9. GG, see you in 6 months :serious:
  10. Unfortunately, I cannot directly access the content from external links such as those you've provided from the "Politics and War" forum. However, if you can provide a brief summary or key points from each declaration, I can certainly help you craft a Recognition of Hostilities in response!
  11. Congrats on the new treaty! But as a lawyer I must object to these terms. If more and more people start embracing brevity, I'll be out of business!
  12. It has been a pleasure working with you all over the past year. You have proven yourselves as capable fighters and an overall great group of people. You've more than earned this upgrade, and I look forward to our continued partnership. Congratulations on completing your first year in PnW, and here's to many more!
  13. Really enjoyed working with y'all (except @Allend Goodblood of course). Glad we could renew our bonds of friendship with this tie, all while ensuring we didn't prolong it to the detriment of the game's health. To paraphrase the great Barney Stinson, "This isn't a failed marriage, it's very successful marriage that only lasted 5 weeks."
  14. Enjoy retirement, friend. It's been a pleasure working with you. And congrats @Galerion!
  15. Concluding a well-fought and hotly contested war, the conflict between Florida and ODOO and its coalitions partners has come to an end, with the two coalitions having agreed on the following terms: Florida admits defeat and surrenders to ODOO and its coalition partners; The participants of each coalition agree to a non-aggression pact with the participants of the other coalition, such pact ending at day change from January 2 to January 3, 2024; The official name of this war will be: Dodge This; DtC Justice shall have no more than 4 spies for the next 60 days; Ockey7 will be tasked with ensuring that DtC Justice has no more than 4 spies. Should Ockey7 fail to fulfill those duties, any Ockey shall be required to fulfill them without retribution. As peace has been reached, both coalitions agree that no new wars will be declared after the day change following this announcement. Wars declared prior to day change can be fought to completion, expired or peaced at the involved nations’ discretion. The following alliances will be included in the non-aggression pact: Signatures
  16. Holy mother of run-on sentences. That's an entire high school dissertation length without a full stop.
  17. Looks like someone beat you to it...
  18. Here at ODOO headquarters, we often find ourselves wrestling with some of life's greatest mysteries. Can you dodge a wrench? Should balls be dodged? During our latest brainstorming session, and after a few drinks, the next great question of our generation has been asked: can a Rose dodge a ball? We went back and forth in the meeting room, and our thoughts were inconclusive. Suddenly, @Kiloist II had a drunken Bill Nye moment and shouted out... "SCIENCE RULES!" And so we've decided to put this great question of our generation to the test... Hey Rose.... DODGE THIS -------------------- TL;DR ODOO declares war on Rose and friends for the following reasons: Rose attempting to frame us for the coalition against Fortuna; Rose attempting to pay people to join a coalition against us; and general backroom dealings.
  19. SRD advocating for alliance taxes? Never thought I'd see the day...
  20. Look at you assuming I have 450m to spare when I just sent TKR's entire life savings to @Lysander
  21. Congratulations on retirement! It's been a pleasure working with y'all these past few years, and I applaud you all for leaving NW in such capable hands. Looking forward to seeing what this new team will accomplish!
  22. I'm refering only to in-game rankings. If you prefer we consider total score with all extensions, then I'll note Eclipse is still #2 and have to post up another ad. Would be such a hassle...
  23. What can I say? I'm a sl*t for free credits 😉 In fairness to Pre though, he actually had to develop something new.
