  1. I wasn't aware we took the offensive and instantly had our military capacity cut down by 25% in that (terribly named) war. Learn something new every day, I suppose. That is by no means mutually exclusive with Rose being screwed.
  2. Can someone teach Pub how quotation marks work? No, doing dishonorable things isn't okay just because we would still know, and if you've got any evidence of it I invite you to PM or query me regarding it. I'm merely saying that either way, you're screwed. And I'm quite sure you know it.
  3. Let me be clearer then: It doesn't matter if Mensa has plants or not in Rose (I don't know either way), because your alliance is leakier than a sieve and has been for the past three wars. You, uh, might want to get that checked out.
  4. Call it extortion all you want, TLF's complete and utter failure to read the political situation regarding sending the money back to Arrgh led them to the result of them needing to pay reps. I don't give two steaming craps whether it was a loan being repaid, or what. The fact is, TLF sent funds to Arrgh that Arrgh did not have at the beginning of hostilities. I see that as aiding my ally's enemy, and we responded appropriately. TLF very well could have told Arrgh "Hey, we're happy to pay you back post-war, with interest even, but this is kind of an act of war against the people rolling you." There wasn't anyone holding them at gunpoint forcing them to send the money right that instant. They misread the political situation, and paid for it. That's how politics works, metro.
  5. Pub, Pub, Pub. It's not our fault you guys couldn't be bothered to actually clean up your access list for ages after we left Paragon (for the record, you had left a bunch of us with access, Nich was just the only person who hadn't cleaned up his ajoin). We'd be silly not to use information that allowed us to prepare for an attack on our alliance, and I'm outright calling you a liar if you say you'd have done any differently in our situation. As far as this war... I dunno about people being planted on the inside, I'm getting plenty of intel from your own members who can't keep their mouths shut in public, so....
  6. So polite Lovely to fight alongside you, as always.
  7. Investor Contact: Roy Mustang Media Contact: Tim Armstrong SYNDICATE, INC. ANNOUNCES NEW EMPLOYMENT POLICIES AND PROMOTIONS NASSAU, Bahamas, November 21, 2015 – SYNDICATE, Inc. (NYSE:SCC), on its one year anniversary, has announced several changes on its Board of Directors, in conjunction with several new leadership programs. The first program, the Global Diversity Program, strives to eliminate any bias in the board member selection process, and make the "glass ceiling" a thing of the past. The second program, the Global Mobility Program, gives priority to candidates originating outside of the Syndicate's traditional base in North America to better reflect our increasingly global focus. Pursuant to these new initiatives, The Syndicate Corporation has changed 3 of 4 Directors on the Board. Boony, the Director of Acquisitions, has stepped down to return to front-line work with Syndicate Security Forces in the Sinai Region. The Board and Chairman have selected Zed to succeed him in this position. Hailing from the South Island of New Zealand, we anticipate that Zed will bring a unique perspective to our traditionally Atlantic-focused business. Manthrax, the Director of Accounting, had expressed a desire for several months to return home to his native Poland. After an exhaustive search, the Board was able to identify an acceptable replacement, and grant his wishes. His successor, Jessica Rabbit, has been by any measure a remarkable success story. After toiling in relative obscurity in the small East African division, she was given a chance to overhaul the East African business, increased that division's profitability by 300%, and hasn't stopped since. Her promotion pulls her directly from Chief of African Operations, an entirely merit-based selection who happens to fulfill both the Global Mobility and Global Diversity Programs. Manthrax, of course, will not retire entirely. He will, instead, be re-assigned as an Executive Vice President for Eastern Europe and Russia, reporting directly to the Board. Partisan, the Director of Marketing, has been selected for a special position lobbying the US Government directly on behalf of the Arms Dealers' Association of America (Disclosure: this organization draws over half of its funding from SYNDICATE, Inc). While Partisan will remain with the Syndicate as Executive Vice President of Global Lobbying, the Board has selected Tim Armstrong to succeed him as Director. Armstrong is a newcomer to the Syndicate, and rose fairly quickly through the lobbying ranks after drawing heavily on her experience lobbying on behalf of Guardian and other Orbisian corporations. A holistic evaluation of her skills made it clear she was best for the post, fulfilling the aims laid out by the Global Diversity Initiative. Chairman Gekko had the following commentary about the new selections: "I'm incredibly proud to say that Syndicate, Inc once again stands at the forefront of the world with the composition of our leadership team. Half of our Board is female members, and the entire Board aside from myself originate from outside the US. I am happy to say that the glass ceiling is shattered, and look forward to seeing this new leadership team bring us to ever greater heights!" Each retiring Director has been appointed a handsome severance package, commensurate with their contributions and length of service. Partisan will draw a package valued at approximately $20 million, in a combination of stocks, cash, and the most luxurious estate available in Detroit, SYNDICATE's US Headquarters city (valued at approximately $6,500). Manthrax will be receiving a package valued at $17 million, with a 70/30 stock/cash split, as well as a large townhouse in Warsaw (valued at $700,000). Boony will be receiving a $10 million package, paid entirely as a cash bonus. The new SYNDICATE Board of Directors is as follows: Roy Mustang, Tim Armstrong, Jessica Rabbit, Zed Media and new investors may utilize either Roy Mustang or Tim Armstrong as their point of contact from this point forward. About SYNDICATE, Inc. SYNDICATE, Inc., based near Nassau, The Bahamas, is the world's leading gasoline, aluminum and munitions distributor for a wide variety of peacekeeping and humanitarian activities. Wholly-owned SYNDICATE, Inc. subsidiary brands include the Elysian League, which designs, markets and distributes tank and missile materials, and Top Gear 2002, which continues to employ Jeremy Clarkson even after his firing from the BBC and replacement by Top Gear 2015.
  8. Not my fault that people think Partisan is the best they ever had (poor souls )
  9. Agreed. I mean, I like both alliances, you look cute together and all, but... where's the commitment?
  10. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uRik9erWgQ8 Partisan is not walking through that door, fans. Prefontaine is not walking through that door, and Mortimer is not walking through that door. And if you expect them to walk through that door, they're going to be gray and old. Just realized that I'm probably playing with a few people who weren't even born when Pitino went off on that tirade... damn I'm old.

  12. ...Do you have any political instinct? Or failing that, common sense? o/ SK. You have conducted yourselves with the highest class, even while your former ally betrayed any and all trust you had reposed in them. I am incredibly happy to call myself an ally, and a friend.
  13. Luckily, we're not asking you to pay 300mil in one lump sum. Payments are indeed an option, and to my recollection we never demanded the full amount immediately. *dodges the shitposting on his way out of thread*
  14. After many, many rounds of golf (and many more drinks consumed in the clubhouse afterwards), the executive leaderships of The Syndicate and Alpha have been able to reach a mutually beneficial arrangement, detailed in the below contract: Alpha - The Syndicate Contract Preamble In the interest of the enhancement of their respective market shares and mutually profitable business, the signatories of this document commit to this pact, as set out by the following articles. Article 1. Business Intelligence Both signatories commit themselves to sharing any information or data relevant to the security and positioning of one another on the global market. Article 2. Risk Mitigation Both parties enter this agreement with the objective of mitigating any threats posed by external risks. Should either party find itself under attack by third parties, its counterpart is henceforth obligated to allocate its military resources in protection of the attacked party. Article 3. Joint Ventures Upon placing their signature, parties are encouraged but not obligated to enter in joint ventures geared towards engaging in proactive philanthropy concerning foreign entities. Article 4. Stakeholder Management Should either party engage in unprofitable ventures as a direct result of conflicting interests with a stakeholder not represented in this document, Article 3 will apply. Article 5. Termination of Contract Either party may terminate this contract. In such an event, 72 hours notice is to be given. 15. I like this. Let's talk. You seem like cool people. I'll still kill you first in Werewolf though
  16. Oh we got freaking wrecked in that initial blitz, you won't hear any denials from my camp about that. But comparing pre-mil to pre-mil and full-mil to full-mil should be about the same as far as damages go. If anything, we're using a metric that makes us look a bit worse (as we're not running around with 10k tanks anymore - it's just not needed at this point)
  17. I mean, it's not like we didn't have a ton of military inflating that score at peak, too. We're not stupid, we were built up.
  18. Empire of Spades have also agreed to peace with the coalition forces. The OP has been updated accordingly.
  19. Peace The Joint Coalition tonight announces that peace has been reached with the United Purple Nations and Empire of Spades. We're very pleased to announce this agreement. Personally, I've found them pleasant and courteous in our interactions regarding peace. Given the damage both sides have taken, we are all eager to move on with newfound respect for the opponent. Best of luck, gents. The peace terms are as follows: 1. United Purple Nations (UPN) surrenders to the coalition forces. Empire of Spades (EoS) surrenders to the coalition forces. 2. UPN will post an Acknowledgement of the God Emperor Dio Brando and the power of His sands, and place a Recognition of the color green as superior to all others in their alliance description for at least one week. 3. UPN will cease all hostilities with Vargen Institution, and wipe clean any debts owed by Vargen. 4. UPN agrees to pay a total of $300 million, 30k gasoline, and 30k munitions to Seven Kingdoms, The Syndicate, and Terminus Est, as reparation for damages done. 5. This peace agreement will include Arrgh. With this surrender, VE and UPN will peace out all wars with Arrgh. 6. A member of EoS will post a short (1-2 paragraph) positive review of Human Centipede 2 in the Orbis Central forum. 20. I didn't catch this post yesterday Kurd. On behalf of The Syndicate and Digitizer's friends and family, I want to thank you again for flying his flag
  21. Great choice of protector, Evenstar! Glad to see you've found greener pastures
