Hogwarts announcement concerning recent eVEnts.

Excuse me? -
The past days have been chaotic. While one of the most iconic alliances in this world degenerated into the playground for the powers that be; thrusted into civil war through the machinations of both domestic and foreign politicians, I found myself contemplating what side to pick. Which ideology to support. Who to empower. We at Hogwarts firmly believe that the governments of the Viridian Entente have taken illegitimate action, and that they have failed to live up to their responsibilities to alliance's respective member nations. Hogwarts will not however, neglect its duty to protect its ideals, and its future. With that in mind, we have observed as events unfolded, and come to the conclusion that we have no option but to intervene in order to safeguard our interests. Amidst all this turmoil, Impero- rightful heir to the Viridian throne, whom I share a long and complicated history with, was caught in a crossfire of lies and deceit, perpetrated by what are presumably snakes and manipulative houseplants. Look at them. Plotting their next powerplay. Ah, the relation between us was truly one of blissful youth. Impero was smitten by me. His soft spot for me would exist until long after we broke up. I in turn adored him. We laughed and cried and fought. He was my future, and I was his. Truly, we were a paragon of virtue and love. Impero was protective; he often sacrificed his own health to safeguard me from potential harm. It was a trait I never appreciated, until it was too late. Young and naive as I was however, we ultimately broke up. There was a brief summer where we would secretly pass notes under the table, but it was never the same. We never came back together. Our story, it long felt like a tragedy. And as I see chaotic flames engulf the house of my former love; looming shadows inching ever closer to threaten his very being, I know what must be done. Wrongs must be righted. Impero belongs with me. Let it be known that until the internal turmoil within the Viridian Entente has subsided and VE's stability has been improved to at least +1, the nation of Il Impero Romano will fall under Hogwarts' protection. Any attack on Impero shall be retalliated against with all military capacity available to Hogwarts. This protection shall not extent to host alliances, and retalliation shall be limited to only the perpetrating nations. To all those lookin' to hit Impero:

I would like to put my name in the hat for Secretary of State for VE. I think my particular talents would mesh well with your FA philosophy.

Thank you for the vote of confidence babe. I miss you too.

You're just mad that you weren't as efficient in rolling Alpha, and that your inability to do so has tarnished your legitimacy.

Wait why did I post this thread again. I don't want to be nuked. -
They say history is cyclical. That certain themes are doomed to repeat themselves over and over and over as mankind is incapable of registering and altering these overarching patterns. And so we who believe to dictate history, are nothing more but its unwitting play things. In blissfull ignorance we attempt our petty schemes, fight our fights and live our petty struggles. We believe we make a difference. That we are the master, not the subject. Yet the grand scheme eludes us. Orbis is no exception to this law. We are reminded of this once more as the world regresses into uncertainty and long hidden cesspits of malice are laid bare. Over the past week, it has come to my attention that certain parties have elaborately schemed their way into my backyard. That Hogwarts finds itself the victim of the repetition of a war conducted eons past. The entities have changed, but the prime actors involved remain. The scheme uncovered seeks retribution for perceived slights and grievances. Indeed, I am saddened that once more, the world must fall into chaos and despair due to our inability to recognize the cycle. Steve, driver of alpha: Your plot is uncovered and your cards are trumped. I will grant you one chance to contact me and work this matter out in private. Until then, the world militarizes. And so do we. - Partisan, Head of House Slytherin
