Does Nationalism have its place?

If you would like to add on to this further feel free. I personally see my self as a Nationalist. I believe Nations have a true meaning in the history of humanity. But does that mean I hate other countries, no. I believe that a nation should strive for greatness but also realize there is a line between Nationalism and Hate. I living in America(USA) believe in Greater Cultural Nationalism much like the Romans or the Soviets in recent times. And trust me, I don't agree with the modern US Government one bit. So, where do you think Nationalism has a place, if at all.

I don't like nationalism but yes, it does have its place.  Unfortunately that place is Scotland, as will be proven by tomorrow nights elections.

 

You can be proud of your nation without being a nationalist.  Where you are born is a lottery and I don't think we should generalise and put down certain nations and their citizens just because they didn't win it.

No we couldn't. Our navy is a lot larger than theirs. They wouldn't be able to get over here. On the same note, we wouldn't go to war with China. We make a lot of their food and they make a lot of our consumer goods.

First off, he is not a secret service agent, he is a federal security officer with the state department......two entirely different entities.  As too the white man's trickery not working in Hawaii....ha, ha.  The juries in the first two trials found the guy not guilty, so what does the judge do....she wants a third hearing to charge the guy on lesser charges that she said they were not going to go forward with in the first trial.  That sounds more like some B.S. Hawaiian trickery to me.  Also, who do you think is paying for these trials......the Hawaiian taxpayer that's who.  If you feel the need to be pissed off at anyone, look within your own state and point the blame at those who have no issues wasting your tax dollars.

So, even though "your people" have found the guy not guilty TWICE already, you think he needs to be taught a lesson and to get reeducated.  I know the Hawaiian school system is bad, but good god.  It's comments like yours that make people from around the world think Hawaiians are dumb thugs.  I know the majority of them are not, but it's folks like you who put the wrong foot forward for the rest of them.
