Popular Post ELPINCHAZO
The 300 score threshold for alliances used to make a lot of sense when the game was much smaller. I feel that unless this is actually changed then it will only serve to force larger AAs to pummel smaller ones just to restore their color bonus. My suggestion is to then maybe take the median score of say the top 20% of the alliances in game and then use something like 5% of that as the threshold. I believe this would add some more interesting dynamics to the color score. so for example we take the 20% of the current number of AAs which would be floor(.2 * 77) = 15 take the median of the top 15 AAs by score: Alliance Score 1 United Purple Nations 29198.08 2 Viridian Entente 27355.89 3 Green Protection Agency 25509.27 4 Guardian 20756.02 5 Rose 16890.17 6 The Dutch East India Company 15897.07 7 Seven Kingdoms 14210.21 8 Celestial Union 10166.19 9 Brotherhood of the Clouds 10036.23 10 The Elysian League 9828.17 11 The European Empire 9478.97 12 The Syndicate 8615.13 13 Terminus Est 8353.10 14 World Wrestling Federation 7861.67 15 Socialist International 6939.55 the median of their scores being 10166.19 then 5% of that is 508.3095 which for simplicity I'd suggest to round off to the nearest hundred for 500 Again this might even be too low 10%,15% or even 20% might be a better cut off. Conroy
I agree, it should be raised somewhere to 500-1000 NS. 3 Quote LordRahl2, on 10 Jul 2015 - 5:53 PM, said: "Imagine it. Lets say that Sheepy had an idea that was at lest questionable. As a way out there idea lets say he thought about adding T-Rexs to the game in some way." Mortimer
El-P, thank you for expressing so eloquently what I had come here to say myself.
Sailor Jerry
I also think raising the minimum score could be a good thing. Most alliances are usually started started by just a few folks. Raising the score required would mean that those starting an alliance would obviously have some in-game experience which in my mind is a good thing since they should know the majority of the ins and outs by the time their nation reaches 500 + NS. I would say though, if this were to be inacted, those alliances who would not meet the new requirement needed, should be grandfathered and not lose their alliance status. Just my thoughts. naTia
I think we should just make the cutoff dynamic. For example, only the top 50% of alliances affect it, which would right now be about 1,000 score. There are 77 AAs currently in game,so 50% of the alliances still might be too much. I made the suggestion of 20% because then that would mean that when AAs move around it could have large impacts on the color bonus in general making things...wait for it....MORE DYNAMIC!! Skynet
Sheepy and I spoke about raising the alliance score effecting a colour bonus. The general number we've come up with is around 700 > 1,000 score. While still easily achievable, it'll help alliances who're already established continue to have a healthy colour bonus and help to make sure smaller alliances that are active only effect the bonus. We're looking at raising it soon, I can't/won't give an ETA right now however. Quote Forum RulesGame RulesToSWikiRedditIRC
Aisha Greyjoy
I endorse the idea of it being a dynamic threshold. And if the top 15 wage a huge war and all drop in score, it will have an impact on the threshold as well. Quote Duke of House Greyjoy

Moufassa
Again this might even be too low 10%,15% or even 20% might be a better cut off. (this is all assuming that there are no other changes to the color bonus)*fixed typos Completely agree. 10% would be a perfect cut off.
