Prefontaine
A week or two ago alliances wanted to band together against a threat from rampant raiding. But no one did it with a single nation becoming strong enough. Raiders are like bullies. You simply need to stand up to them with equal or greater force. Along with support from TAC and TEst, Guardian was able to do such a thing. Demon: Sly: With simply standing up to him, he started to crack in obvious ways. Posts in this thread: http://politicsandwar.com/forums/index.php?/topic/2639-declaration-of-outlawry/ stupid mistakes in game which showed his panic. Like peacing out a war against someone declared on him while having no tanks and thus being virtually no threat to him http://politicsandwar.com/nation/war/timeline/war=18693 that war was declared by accident as we wanted his defensive slot open for someone else. And then simply declaring wars on everyone he couldn't beat on his way out. This is how the raiders fell. Not with a bang. But a whimper. Longshadow
This is good to see! Glad to see you guys picking up on the one that managed to escaping the rest of the work others have put in elsewhere! Hopefully Demon can learn from this and make better decisions in the future, I just hope those nations that joined his Alliance of Red Guards will be able to find safe harbor elsewhere. o/ Quote "This was not our destiny!" I'm hopeful that it's perhaps b/c he's misled them with his inept leadership. But maybe that's just me being an optimist in this situation. Quote "This was not our destiny!" "Times change..." Aisha Greyjoy
I wouldn't get too cocky. Yes, a group of nations working together can defeat a single nation. No reason to toot horns there, Quote Duke of House Greyjoy

Wilhelm IV
Three more raiders beiged by TAC. You know what? If they come out of beige, beige them again a few times. Should teach them to not attack a major alliance. But yes, excellent work there. Hopefully we shall be able to exterminate every single one of these raiders. You know...if they were all muiltis I wouldn't be surprised. It wouldn't be hard to make muiltis and have people targeting alliances that ain't your own...giving your own an advantage over the rest of the game. Of course this is speculation, but it is quite possible and would most certainly give your alliance an advantage. The question is, if that is the case, who is not being hit? But then the forums would be dead. Yep, I know. I think it'd be good if raiders where always here, as them being here does make the game interesting and adds to it. However, when you have armies of muilti raiders crushing alliances, it becomes a joke and harms the game. And I say muiltis, as it's not hard to set up some type of script, that makes them and builds them and then uses them. And I can see a person who doesn't like this game or wants his alliance to be first, using them to target people. Lets be honest here, the moderation staff have pissed of their fair share of people, it is indeed possible.

Without raiding all you've got is city building and alliances slapping each other on the back.

It needs a balance, which hasn't quite happened yet. It will, eventually, but until then we will see a lot of drama spurts followed by quiet periods.
