It was the flag of a brand new republic. A republic founded on freedom, peace, and prosperity. The two Consuls prepared to address the crowd gathered in Atlanta, alongside the governors of the member states. The first Consul to speak was Mary Voltaire. "People of the Republic I welcome you to a new dawn. Today we have signed a treaty to unite our states in an effort to secure peace for our citizens. We wish to ensure that you, our citizens, are protected from expansionist powers and are free to live your lives as you choose. As Consul I am dedicated to serving the people, and I am dedicated to keeping the peace. Thank you." She bowed and then the second Consul approached the stand. Cornelius Snow smiled at the crowd and waved, causing a hush to fall. "My colleague Consul Voltaire is quite right. This is a brand new dawn. The sun has risen and seen the southeast united in peace and prosperity. Our states are close friends and will continue to support each other, and protect our people. As the outside world changes and fluctuates all we have in mind is peace. The governors have faith in us to unite and we have faith in you to help us. Let it be known that the Republic is here!" The crowd broke out into a cheer, a cheer echoed in all major cities throughout the new Republic. It was a joyous time and people were happy. Mogar Posted March 30, 2018 Share Posted March 30, 2018 No formal acknowledgement would occur, but a bottle of Pulque with a reasonable dose of peyote would be delivered via diplomatic jet, as a gift that was a parlor trick overall to the company's ability, along with a small diplomatic briefcase containing a laptop/tablet device that allowed for diplomatic communication that would not be spied upon. This is a clear violation of the Restoration of the United States Treaty. Despite this, the United States respect their independence and asks the Southeastern Republic for negotiation the treaty. Right now, the occupation of these states may continue. The U.S. government is attempting to contact the Southwestern Republic.
