The basic espionage can only sabotage military units, gather information and etc.

 

What if you can get money, resources and credits through it

 

And also you can blockade nations through espionage.

 

Like it. Comment to make espionages better.

I guess stealing credits through espionage could be a thing. I mean, besides the part where it would disincentivize buying credits and overall be completely broken, it's not that bad.

 

 

 

 

 

Stealing resources on the other hand could be balanced. But please tell me how 60 people could manage to even steal a few tons of resources.

You don't need to use ships to blockade someone.

 

You could just have spies create a mess in ports so ships can't dock. It'd be a temporary blockade though while the ports are getting fixed.

This has been suggested many times previously (aside from the credits). If the spy operation actually made a decent amount of money (more than the cost of the op), everybody would overuse it. If it was too little (less than the cost of the op), nobody would use it. It would effectively be overused or not used at all.

I could see it being used to chip away at a blockaded player's warchest. This is why if it does get implemented (see: never) it will be worse than worthless.
