Posts gun related meme when both the Libertarians running are gun haters. Lol.

Not much point saying much more. The "freedom for everything" sounds nice but in execution just means even if they somehow won who'd be very pleased would be the corporations, the rich, criminals, and so on.

"[O]nly a virtuous people are capable of freedom. As nations become corrupt and vicious, they have more need of masters." -Benjamin Franklin

“Public virtue cannot exist in a Nation without private Virtue, and public Virtue is the only Foundation of Republics.†-John Adams

“To suppose that any form of government will secure liberty or happiness without any virtue in the people, is a chimerical [imaginary] idea.†-James Madison

“No government can continue good but under the control of the people; and … their minds are to be informed by education what is right and what wrong; to be encouraged in habits of virtue and to be deterred from those of vice … These are the inculcations necessary to render the people a sure basis for the structure and order of government.†-Thomas Jefferson

Liberty does not exist without a virtuous society in which the people are held to the highest of standards in both culture and conduct.  Anarchy is no solution and will only lead to a decline in morality and virtue; allowing man to descend into a state of nihilism in which he cannot escape.  We must encourage community, yet independence.  Freedom, yet virtue.  The government need not intervene in encouraging these values, but they must be imposed by the community if not the government.  This is why I cannot accept libertarianism because it has no regard for consequences or culture.  It only sees its goals as far as egoism and hedonistic pleasure-seeking.  Duty and responsibility both become alien concepts which are both central to any healthy civilization.

"Your cattle will die, your friends will die, you will die. But your reputation, if it is good, will never die."  -excerpt from the Havamal

"We are born into this time and must bravely follow the path to the destined end. There is no other way. Our duty is to hold on to the lost position, without hope, without rescue, like that Roman soldier whose bones were found in front of a door in Pompeii, who, during the eruption of Vesuvius, died at his post because they forgot to relieve him. That is greatness. That is what it means to be a thoroughbred. The honorable end is the one thing that can not be taken from a man."  -Oswald Spengler

Don't confuse anarchy and liberation , totally different things. There's a difference between no government and limited government. Libertarian is a broad term, so there are anarchist libertarians, however I am not one of them. I'm more of a Ron Paul disciple

Gary Johnson four years ago was okay, not the best.

This time around he became an embarrassment to the LP when the LP had an incredible opportunity to seriously establish itself.

The LP elected him and he instantly became an idiot. He was not even able to talk about simple points of the LP platform in one-on-one interviews.

To all the Libertarian haters, the LP platform is not as drastic or as hard-nosed on its ideology as the internet makes it out to be. Everything is gradual and takes a process, adaptable and gradual. If things work, libertarianism continues. If they fail, libertarianism adapts. Its not an "all of a sudden we kick out every Federal committee and department because big gubmint is big!" but a gradual oversight to see what is really necessary and clean house on what is ridiculous. The only problem with the LP is it is full of ideologues and to be honest, Libertarians(and Libertarian Republicans who have taken over). The LP originally was a split from the Democratic Party and very Left-minded.

I would've liked to see Austin Peterson be the LP nominee over Johnson.

The weird part is that Johnson seemed pretty competent. But, like you said, once he was nominated he just turned into a babbling moron.
