EFNA

In this day and age, it seems necessary for the nations of Orbis to unite to protect all nations from tyranny in the oceans, such as the recent events that happened with Gran Pulse.

Thus, an alliance of sorts has been created, the EFNA (Ensuring of Freedom of Navigation Administration).

EFNA will be a joining of nations to, as stated in the name, ensure the freedom of navigation to all nations' ships in the oceans. Claims such as Gran Pulse's extending an entire 1,000 miles into the ocean from the coast of Gran Pulse, as well as the threats that nations will be unable to use the Panama Canal, are simply unacceptable.

In the case that such claims and/or threats such as the one stated above are made, the nations of EFNA will take not only economic action (embargo), but also military action should it be necessary.

Nations of EFNA will officially recognize nations' claims of international waters up to 12 nautical miles off their coast.

EFNA will also join in the eliminating of the threats or pirates, sea-mines, and others.

Any nation can join EFNA at any time, if they wish to join to help ensure freedom of navigation and eliminate maritime threats.

The following nations have already joined EFNA as the founding nations:

  • Thundera
  • Hungadada
  • Meonesia
  • Australia
  • Chernigov
  • Afribuskyoslav
  • Caledonia
  • San Florence
  • Hequ
  • Ryas

As stated, any nation can join, and we at EFNA hope you consider joining.

I will join so long as the alliance does not try to control the way I run my country such as open borders, ect. However I will gladly Join in the case of defending the open waters and ensuring a better route of passage for all nations

Thank you for joining! We will not attempt to control any part of how you run your country, other than if you attempt to do basically what we said we are fighting against, we will kick you out.

I also forgot to mention that President Hunter Lexus of Australia has agreed to let us have a delegation in his nation.

The Russian Federation is curious since the EFNA is there to protect international waterways, but sends in Military Vessels to protect ships?

If you could clarify that?

     -- Russian Ambassador to Meonesia

I am not sure on that matter, but Australia believes that indivuial EFNA nations are providing protection for ships who may be going into dangerous waterways or areas with high levels of Natural Disaster, we would redicret you to Secretary General of the EFNA Council (Meonesia)

Well, currently Meonesia is sending ships to Novus and the Phillippines as there have been natural disasters there. In addition to sending aid support, we send as many naval ships as we can spare (albeit not many, which is why we strongly encourage other EFNA members to cooperate). This is simply to protect the waterways and make sure all ships get to their destination safely. Though the event is unlikely that naval services will be needed in these natural disaster situations, it's always good to ensure all aid workers and civilians on coasts are safe from anything that we can prevent.

As stated in the original post, we will also ensure the protection of ships going through dangerous trade routes, pirate-infested areas (OOC: Not Arrgh, RP pirates), and will also cooperate with each other should another threat come. In the case of something like Gran Pulse's claim of thousands of miles into the sea,EFNA members would cooperate and take economic and military action.

[From the Desk of Mad Max - Novus Statehouse]

Ladies and Gentleman of EFNA,

At this time and effective immediately, Novus is hereby withdrawing from the EFNA group. What was once thought to be a shining light in the future of our nation as well as many others has been clouded by political fog at the very start. We at Novus know that with any international grouping of nations, there will be a role to play in politics, our advisors do not believe the current route of EFNA will be effective in the long term. We apologize to the Meonesian Government for our withdrawal and to our other counterparts in EFNA.

Novus wishes each of you the best of luck, safety, and gods speed through any situation you may find yourselves in.

The Commonwealth of Australian has deiced to leave the EFNA

The EFNA has not committed to its task, and some members itself breaking its own rules. The Australian Government sees the EFNA Furthermore the Australian Government no longer allows the EFNA to move through its waterways for security issues. The issues arising from the EFNA have been very troubling.

Caledonia has had much debate. On one hand we did not want to be brought into another war but on the other we know that giving up never helps however after some major debate amongst the royal family and advisors Caledonia will be resigning from the EFNA effective immediately. No good comes when a group is filled with so much conspiracy and foggy tactics. Should the EFNA be revised and reconstructed to better serve the world as originally planned we will give it a second look, but for now this is farewell.

It is with regret that we inform the following:

Effective immediately, Hungadada will leave EFNA. We do not see any reason to continue committing our resources towards this organisation. The goal of EFNA is a strong one, however, after careful consideration of all variables, we do not believe that EFNA is as effective as it should be.

Hungadada cannot continue to devote resources to EFNA, when we do not see a strong future for it.

Kindly,

Daniel Jackson

Minister of Foreign Affairs

The Imperial Republic of Hungadada

Since this is the number one post in views right now, we invite any and all nations who are in the EFNA or who were previously in the EFNA to join the United States in the Orbis's first International RIMPAC, we hope for this event to be Orbis's largest maritime warfare exercise. Along with other sporting events such as soccer and baseball.

The United States at this time cannot host the games themselves, due to a majority of the US Navy will be used to ship supplies in from foreign nations who wish to help our young nation.

In other words, if any nation is willing and capable, you could host the first biennially RIMPAC Event.

Thank you,

Chief of Naval Operations

Thomas Chandler

Sincerely,

The Red and Blue soldiers of Project Freelancer
