  1. If I try to accept a custom amount for a buy offer I get the following error notice: This only happens when the buy offer is for an amount greater than my existing supply of resources. For example: Placentica is buying 20,000 food for $75/unit. I have 12,000 food. I attempt to sell 10 food to Placentica. Error occurs.
  2. You'll probably see more embargoes since that is the only currently existing mechanism that offers any measure of protection against this game addition. 24hrs also seems like a very short period of time. If it were an extended period of time, and if this addition worked by increasing disease to all cities, then hospitals could be a counter measure against it. However the duration would need to be longer for investing in hospitals to be worth it. A 5% drop in population for 24 hours is a fairly negligible thing, especially if the chance of getting it is low to begin with. But if the goal here is more on the role play side of things instead of a mechanic that requires serious deliberation and consideration on the part of the player, then there's no need to change the original suggestion.
  3. I don't think jvectormap distinguishes land from sea or inland from coast. You'd basically be asking sheepy to code a map program.
  4. Sounds like a good way to manufacture free money.
  5. I mean I could also say it's silly to be overly critical of alliances with power declaring CB-less wars for the same reason. Granted I'm sure a lot of that is role play, but some of the criticism isn't.
  6. You clearly missed the point I was making. The objective is not to end up like (That terrible game that is totally irrelevant and I shouldn't be bringing it up anyways). (That terrible game that is totally irrelevant and I shouldn't be bringing it up anyways) had CB wars for years, during which time the game population dwindled as wars became less and less frequent, far before DBDC. And you misunderstand, I don't care if you want to push for CB wars, but the consequence of fewer wars (which I think will happen with high CB standards) is going to be a change in the game mechanics. My point was merely that it hasn't happened already because guardian sphere has started 4 wars in 6 months time. I very much doubt VE-sphere would do the equivalent over the course of the next 6 months. I actually want mechanical changes, so when my point is proven correct in 6 months and the alliance wars stagnate, I think we're going to get those changes, if not sooner.
  7. Real alliance wars don't happen at all in (That terrible game that is totally irrelevant and I shouldn't be bringing it up anyways) anymore because everyone needs a CB to do it. -9 year (That terrible game that is totally irrelevant and I shouldn't be bringing it up anyways) veteran But by all means, feel free to continue with this. We'll see where it leads the game in 6 months time.
  8. Since this is an ooc forum... Regardless of bullying or not, I'm fairly confident that if wars become too infrequent due to high community standards for CBs or generally higher conservative game play, then the actual game mechanics will likely change until war is more frequent. (That terrible game that is totally irrelevant and I shouldn't be bringing it up anyways) alliances are coming from a game where wars are years apart. That kind of thing will not be acceptable here, and if that pattern starts to emerge for whatever reason, expect changes. Guardian, SK and TEst have been the primary reason why major mechanical changes haven't already been implemented, so kudos to them for making the current game last as long as it has.
  9. Would go long ways towards countering banks used as a means of cheating.
  10. I'm seeing both: 2015-05-13 and 2015-04-13 here: https://politicsandwar.com/leaderboards/display=treasures If treasures are supposed to respawn every 30 days, then one of these numbers is wrong or treasures are not respawning.
  11. From my understanding tanks don't exactly increase the effectiveness of soldiers like munitions do, for instance. Tanks are more akin to "super soldiers" and the only effect one's tanks would have on one's own soldiers (and vice versa) is perhaps reducing casualties merely by presenting a larger opposing force during a battle. From the partial formula posted here: http://politicsandwar.com/forums/index.php?/topic/4806-battle-mechanic/#entry73245 I am surmising that enemy casualties are calculated for both tanks and soldiers, but the casualties inflicted by just one's soldiers are not changed by the quantity of one's tanks beyond determining a victory condition.
  12. Looks like one of them sold infra... which is interesting since someone once told me that you could not sell below the infra required for a project. The other one is definitely curious since that person has only 4 cities (none with extra improvements), 2800 infra, and the score graph indicates the player is currently at the highest score it's ever been for the past month.
  13. It's possible to send completely anonymous messages if a person creates a new account but does not create a new nation. When receiving such a message, the "From" field appears blank with a blank flag and a url of "https://politicsandwar.com/nation/id=".
  14. This typo also exists on the revenue page next to "Food Grown" (in two places).
  15. [18:55] <MasterBlaster> <img src='https://politicsandwar.com/img/icons/16/weather_cloudy.png'title='Autumn: Normal food production' alt='Summer: Normal food production'> [18:55] <MasterBlaster> either it's summer or it's autumn. can't be both Not to mention summer has increased food production, not normal food production. This is in the html code on the Orbis clock.
  16. Up to 75% of a ;player's money can be stolen in a ground attack.
  17. (not supporting either side, just thought this would be appropriate)
