  1. >low Approval Rating: 0% (-653.79) Approval rating never was meant to matter. It used to be affected by embargoes, which never really mattered either. Generally, the consensus is that more RNG is detrimental to a "skill or activity based game" People already complain enough about the variance in battle results.
  2. Well, given that the amount of tanks your nation can field is tied to its population, I'm pretty sure you'll find a way to get some crews
  3. Who is this half eaten sandwich impostor and what are they doing in the peace talks?
  4. I was referring to my post from earlier... You disagreed with my point that the formation of the Inquisition bloc made politics more interesting, but the attitude towards the "shit slinging and grudge match bs" was the same.
  5. ...and that's what the post you quoted was saying, basically
  6. I cry for all the babies eaten by the Syndisphere hegemonists.
  7. [backlash and stuff] Meh. It probably wasn't the best idea to come across as insulting the loyalty of Syndisphere members… It's along the lines of what Kastor was doing and I'd rather not confribute too much more to the mudslinging fest that the OWF always becomes during wartiems. I have nothing more to say about this "upper tier superiority" thing and will just wait to see how it turns out. Anyways, setting up a PoW camp (it's not really a PoW camp since admission is voluntary and members aren't being held against their willl, but /shrug) always results in the opposite of fhe intended effect, but they have been commonplace during the last few wars, it seems. If the intended purpose is to piss off the opposing alliances and throw away hope of a quick conclusion, then props to you, however. It's hypocritical to say that "deserters should be shot" while sheltering deserters from the opposin side. Nobody likes a hypocrite and members who have a reason to not participate in a war have better means of doing so, like asking the alliance government (or even vacation mode *gasp*). The only positive thing that this does is emphasize your belief in your rigntness and say that your cause is worth continuing the fight for. There are better reasons of doing this, though…like continuing to fight the war. Also, at least in my perspective, the Inquisition isn't on some holy mission to save the game from the oppressive hegemonists. There really doesn't need to be this level of vitrol when posting kn the OWF. It is nigh impossible to change the polarizing state of politics in the game, especially when there is a dominant side involved. Neutrals are rolled, those who have ties to both sides are pressured to choose sides, etc. Nobody needs to delude themselves. The Inquisition's motive for splitting off was definitely to fight the Syndisphere and at best they made politics more D Y N A M I C for a few months to a year, when either they oust he Syndisphere from power and become the dominant side or are unable to do so, as the economic gap between the two sides grows too large and no amount of wars will be able to change it.
  8. Upper tier revenue != rebuilding monies. I'm don't know the specifics of how many sacrifices the Syndisphere upper tier currently makes makes for their alliances, but I doubt many would be too happy to lose months of revenue to fund lower and mid tier rebuilding. Also, money from GoB, Hogwarts, Guardian, etc. (the elite alliances) will stay in those alliances and won't go towards rebuilding either.
  9. Offering a "surrender camp" is in bad taste. I know BK has done it before, but it's generally a dick move.
  10. It only counts the top 11 alliances as of 3/27. I could probably do more, but I got lazy and the sheet was taking a while to load... sorry.
  11. Round 3 and a half, I think.
  12. Generally, I feel that tracking score alone is a gross misrepresentation of the actual situation. (of course I'm just salty that BK has lost half its score and stuff) Here's the militarization percentages from the buildup to now: http://imgur.com/a/NTD5s
  13. Also, underrepresentation of the Inquisition viewpoint on the forums.
  14. We're fine with continuing the war. Not quite sure why you're arguing so much about this if it's not an issue. // I'm just addressing the "muh upper tier" argument, mostly. I don't really care why the war started at this point.
  15. Here's some perspective: It costs $5,942,556 to build a city from 800 infra to 1500 infra and only $1,158,986 to build from 10 infra to 800. Funding wars is not the issue. Both sides can fund the war for a long time. Nobody is saying that the Inquisition is in a favorable position now. (Syndisphere has an economic advantage from their untouched upper tier) The difference is that war is cheap for the Inquisition which does not have much to lose, while many alliances in the Syndisphere still have high infra averages (potentially to be lost). In fact, bottom tiers affect wars more than the upper tiers. A bottom tier advantage can be translated into a mid tier advantage (mid tier combat decides wars) while upper tiers are unable to participate in the bulk of the combat due to score restrictions. Hogwarts, GoB, and other "elite" alliances may have had some fun blowing up the Inquisition's semblance of an upper tier, but they'll be sitting out for the rest of the war. (the Inquisition is able to effectively utilize most of its score and military, while the Syndisphere is unable to do so) Yes, but infra loss doesn't mean anything if you don't destroy their conventional military units. I've seen a few people in syndisphere with full military but only having 700 infra per city because IQ nuked them only thinking of doing infra damage. And in the long run that really only hurts the mid tier nations on IQ's side // It's actually the opposite right now. The Inquisition is focusing on military units ATM and is leaving infra bombing for later on. It still amazes me that you don't see what's happening. The vast majority of nations you've pulled down is due to people eliminating their military, so that you can do so with little to no resistance. // How is this positive for the Syndisphere? If you mean that they got pulled down due to faliled downdeclares, then that would be more accurate. You seem to be implying that they're getting beat down on their own volition. I remember some Syndicate members shitposting roughly the same things I'm saying during Proxy, Oktoberfest, 168, etc. It's the same argument. I'm pretty sure we came to the conclusion that upper tier superiority does not decide wars.
  16. So it's agreed that we should keep blowing each other up? Even if it's for different reasons, it's nice to come to a consensus with the opposing side in a war ALL HAIL ROQUENTIN o/o/o/
  17. My point is that ending the war doesn't do anything to affect the Syndisphere's upper tier and that the Inquisition is capable of dealing plenty of damage without hitting the Syndisphere's upper tier. The Inquisition will definitely be set back economically after the war ends, but the significant damage has been taken. Also, unless alliances in the Syndisphere run high tax rates or occasionally appropriate funds from larger nations, most of the money earned by the upper tier will stay in the upper tier and the rebuilding of the mid tier will have to be funded by the bank. Upper tier growth is meh since 25 cities is arguably less useful than 15-20 cities when fighting most alliances in the Inquisition. Wars have always been a plane show...planes to destroy planes, planes to destroy tanks, planes to destroy ships, planes to destroy infra, etc. The only reason people kept ground forces around is because ground control affects plane count.
  18. 6 months of no war has allowed both sides to stockpile enough resources so that running out isn't a concern. Submarine warfare is also pretty cheap, with infra rebuilding being the main cost, rather than military units. The Inquisition doesn't intend to wage a war of attrition and hope that the Syndisphere capitulates. (it won't) The main motivations for the Inquisition continuing the fight are pride and a lack of repercussions. The only perceivable downside of keeping the war going is lost revenue from rebuilding, which is heavily outweighed by the potential damage to be dealt to the Syndisphere's mid tier (and is not exclusive to the Inquisition). The Inquisition doesn't have to hit the upper tier. If the Syndisphere is fine with the bottom half of their alliances burning, then more power to them. In the end, it's up to the Syndisphere to end the war because they are the ones who have the most to lose. ___________ Also, NPO is using its allies as meatshields to minimize damage taken... (they couldn't possibly be good fighters)
  19. BK has the pope, though. https://politicsandwar.com/nation/id=35846 protip: you should get your own pope and excommunicate him
  20. y'know the name of the game, right? Shitposts and Spreadsheets git gud m9 Seriously though, what would you expect if you get hit by a nation with a larger military than you? (nothing against fortify, but the reasoning in favor is flawed)
