  1. You made a mistake, it's human to do so, people exploited that loop-hole well, and it is what it is, your mistake made some suffer and some very happy. I really haven't complained about that to anyone nor do I plan on. If you're looking for a solution though for a bit, perhaps delay the spy changes part so they don't come for a bit. Bring in all the other resistance, etc etc related changes but sit on the spy casualties being higher one for a bit. This way the same old spy system prevails where spies were taken out, no one loses their money either as spies were lost in that very system, and the interference is little to none. I would also like to point out that many players were not even opening P&W since the war system was disabled and weren't around. Kudos to whoever used the situation effectively for them, it's impressive. Do not do a rollback though!
  2. It doesn't make them a single thing though. It's one of those things we will never agree on!
  3. No no Steve, back up. You were talking about patterns. Please show me the pattern or just accept you were full of bs. As far as your example goes, you took "care" of PP post the changes which left it in a very vulnerable state given the builds and without me being involved even. After all, PP was mostly me and Warpool. You did take care of the 1 member alliance Lannister Pirate Fleet though if you're making a resume. Also, did you just try to boast about taking care of a 2 member alliance? How low do you want to fall mate? Furthermore, when I talk about you boasting nukes instead of conventional military, this theme of nukes is what I've in mind: "Foreign Affairs: Go Away or We Will Nuke You - Fark/NK/Alpha Bloc" Are you that unsure of your military competence that you've to start off with the "nuke" line? As far as Alpha defending goes, I've nothing against it. Arrgh raided you guys and you defended yourselves, nothing wrong with that. The only reason I posted was because Alpha desperately kept on talking about the past despite Pre stating very early that he believed you were justified to hit Arrgh.
  4. Time will tell indeed if Polaris honours their word or not!
  5. When did I say anything against treaties? All I said was I had limited knowledge. Why must you assume Mikey? All I'm getting at the moment is that people sign treaties promising to defend, and when the time comes, they amend it as it suits their needs and avoid them. Why sign in the first place I wonder? Kudos to Valyria for actually sticking up for SK then instead of "amending" it as required, something both SK and Polaris have already done once, and perhaps a potential second time for Polaris.
  6. Like I said, I'm a layman in these treaty matters but the Valyria-Polaris MDP states agreement over "3. Should either alliance be attacked, Valyria and Polaris agree that they are obligated to defend each other." I assume obligated means required or compelled to do so, but I might be wrong. Also, I'm not sure why it is okay for Polaris to fight in an optional defense but let their MD level partners hanging dry. On second thought, it won't be the first time so that's that.
  7. I'm sorry, I'm not the best with these treaties. Does a MDP become void if you're in a war? .-.
  8. Now the question is, does Polaris, who has a MDP with Valyria, have the guts to enter or will Polaris turn out to be a coward like the last time Valyria was hit?
  9. You see that first paragraph is your terrible spin machine I was talking about. You're trying to use the Pantheon situation to pass off your untrue statement. I came to Mensa, left Mensa and went to Arrgh, no problem. I left Arrgh to join PP when Arrgh did not go to war and chose not to be rolled, rolled many people and got rolled a few times, Warpool left so I made my own raiding alliance solo and kept at it. After that I went to Pantheon without any issues, stayed with em', and developed differences with Fist but stayed on, and after he quit, I left. This is the only place where any controversy arose, that too mainly at why I hit Pantheon, not why I left. I went to Arrgh and raided indiscriminately. I ate 23 nukes and lost ALL my infra, which was worth almost $800m. After that, I went to TEst without anything happening to Arrgh and here I'm. Now tell me Steve, where's the pattern? Perhaps you've some bigger insight which I don't have, but where is that pattern you were talking about? Don't sell garbage if it can be easily proven to be garbage. It didn't work against tS, it won't start working now. As for the rest of it, I don't know your specific play style and I won't pretend to know what your intentions are. All I know is you hide behind the most cowardly way to war - nukes. That ends that discussion. If that's the outcome you're hoping for, you will never be satisfied. Arrgh will never stop raiding as they see fit. The only thing that might get Arrgh to stop raiding is military competence, safe to say, that hasn't been the case with Alpha.
  10. I must say, I'm very surprised that you guys actually jumped in and I can't help but admire that. Good one.
  11. This is much bigger than the manga. Like Buorhann pointed out, the history is drawn mainly from the game, eRepublic. There was actually a player called Dio Brando who started the religion years ago (9 years I think?) and transformed it into something much bigger. There is even a Book of Dio! I didn't even know about the manga for a long time after hearing about Dio.
  12. I think he means in terms of war. Raids and wars are not the same thing you know.
  13. How have things been for you ever since the reps? First, elite alliance isn't the same as elite tier alliance. Elite alliance means an alliance which is clearly accepted as an elite one and feared, let's face it, Alpha is a joke alliance at this point using the most cowardly means of war, nuclear. Second, that's not how it happened. You try to spin situations and do it so poorly that you've ended from a prospective elite Alpha to a most definite joke Alpha. I had no role in attacking Alpha, I would've had but I was selling treasures to Rose (your MD level partner then) and thus without military. After that Warpool left to Pantheon and I went solo to Lannister Pirate Fleet for raiding, not running away to Pantheon as your spinning machine has you saying. Alpha waited 4-5 days till I was involved in 5 aggressive wars to declare and ask for reps for what PP had done. Can it get more cowardly? I'm not sure. Waiting till the person was fully stretched and in an alliance with a grand total of 1 member and then demanding reps, I'm not sure if it gets more cowardly then that Steve, even for you. I did pay the $10m reps though I remember, because I made a lot more than $10m just that day alone from raiding so didn't want an ego inflated Alpha messing that time up for me. Warring is all about being smart and understanding the position you're in Steve, that's why you failed at it. You went with that ego forward but maybe forgot tS wasn't a 1 man alliance. Also, do you notice how all Alpha talks about is the past, past and past? It shows your irrelevance today when you can only talk about the past.
  14. Alpha just can't digest the fact that TEst is that elite alliance which Alpha always wanted to be yet failed in the most terrible fashion. So much jealousy and hate. Tsk tsk.
  15. Guys can you stop arguing here and declare on me instead please?
  16. I'm complaining about effects of nukes though. How is that relevant at all to a new player coming in?
  17. That #1 part is really true. I've many times wished my raids didn't end and instead I could have kept going on with GAs.
  18. A lot of 1v1 happen though. Not in world wars but otherwise, they do tend to happen quite a bit. Also, if you mean battle simulator in regards to tanks, I already adjusted it to half tanks. My whole point to raise was that "nuclear weapons" shouldn't have equal or near to resistance as "conventional means", and ground is after all an conventional mean. My argument isn't in the post against the entire changes, "just" the nuke resistance points part which I feel needs a tweak to be lesser.
  19. Congratulations on joining ranks of Arrgh and PP in such winning.
  20. Directed to Alex. Following Alex's chart given, I'm drawing up a hypothetical situation between two 21 city nations. Both start with maximum army and the attacks are ran by the simulator (tanks casualties are halved from sim.). Nation X: Soldiers: 315,000 (Rebuild 105,000), Tanks: 26,250 (Rebuild 5,250) Aircraft: 1890 (Rebuild: 315), Ships: 315, Nukes: 0 Nation Y: Soldiers: 315,000 (Rebuild 105,000), Tanks: 26,250 (Rebuild 5,250) Aircraft: 1890 (Rebuild: 315), Ships: 315, Nukes: 0 *(Rebuild: MEANS THE REBUILD LEFT) Nation X ground attacks Nation Y: You ordered a ground attack upon the nation of SIMULATED NATION led by SIMULATED LEADER. The attack was a Pyrrhic victory. Your forces lost 126,809 soldiers and 2248 tanks, while SIMULATED LEADER's defenders lost 115,810 soldiers and 2045 tanks. Nation X and Y both build back up. Nation X: Soldiers: 293,191 (Rebuild 0), Tanks: 26,250 (Rebuild 3,002) Aircraft: 1890 (Rebuild: 315), Ships: 315, Nukes: 0, MAP: 3 Resistance: 100 Nation Y: Soldiers: 304,190 (Rebuild 0), Tanks: 26,250 (Rebuild 3,205) Aircraft: 1890 (Rebuild: 315), Ships: 315, Nukes: 0, MAP: 6 Resistance: 96 Nation X builds back up and attacks Nation Y again via ground again: You ordered a ground attack upon the nation of SIMULATED NATION led by SIMULATED LEADER. The attack was a Pyrrhic victory. Your forces lost 130,730 soldiers and 2,353 tanks, while SIMULATED LEADER's defenders lost 131,779 soldiers and 2,365 tanks. Both nations rebuild. Nation X: Soldiers: 162,461 (Rebuild 0), Tanks: 26,250 (Rebuild 649) Aircraft: 1890 (Rebuild: 315), Ships: 315, Nukes: 0, MAP: 0 Resistance: 100 Nation Y: Soldiers: 172,411 (Rebuild 0), Tanks: 26,250 (Rebuild 840) Aircraft: 1890 (Rebuild: 315), Ships: 315, Nukes: 0, MAP: 6 Resistance: 92 Nation X waits to get 3 more MAPs, and then hits on ground again. Y is only rebuilding: The attack was a Pyrrhic victory. Your forces lost 152,331 soldiers and 2860 tanks, while SIMULATED LEADER's defenders lost 105,820 soldiers and 1912 tanks. Nation X: Soldiers: 10,130 (Rebuild 0), Tanks: 24,039 (Rebuild 0) Aircraft: 1890 (Rebuild: 315), Ships: 315, Nukes: 0, MAP: 0 Resistance: 100 Nation Y: Soldiers: 66,591 (Rebuild 0), Tanks: 25,178 (Rebuild 0) Aircraft: 1890 (Rebuild: 315), Ships: 315, Nukes: 0, MAP: 9 Resistance: 88 Nation X waits to get 3 more MAPs, and then hits on ground again. Y still only rebuilds and makes a nuke to which X can do nothing but stare at: You ordered a ground attack upon the nation of SIMULATED NATION led by SIMULATED LEADER. The attack was a Pyrrhic victory. Your forces lost 10,000 soldiers and 2,082 tanks, while SIMULATED LEADER's defenders lost 66,591 soldiers and 1,551 tanks. Nation X: Soldiers: 130 (Rebuild 0), Tanks: 21,957 (Rebuild 0) Aircraft: 1890 (Rebuild: 315), Ships: 315, Nukes: 0, MAP: 0 Resistance: 100 Nation Y: Soldiers: 0 (Rebuild 0), Tanks: 23,627 (Rebuild 0) Aircraft: 1890 (Rebuild: 315), Ships: 315, Nukes: 1, MAP: 12 Resistance: 84 Nation Y launches a nuclear weapon. Nation X: Soldiers: 130 (Rebuild 0), Tanks: 21,957 (Rebuild 0) Aircraft: 1890 (Rebuild: 315), Ships: 315, Nukes: 0, MAP: 0 Resistance: 75 Nation Y: Soldiers: 0 (Rebuild 0), Tanks: 23,627 (Rebuild 0) Aircraft: 1890 (Rebuild: 315), Ships: 315, Nukes: 0, MAP: 0 Resistance: 84 ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Without even talking about the infra issue here, as Pyrrhic victory was getting ~30 infra taken out, which means X took out around 120 infra, and Y blasted his nuke taking out like majority of the infra which could even be 1800 infra, we see usage of conventional military and just rebuilding results in sitting with 75 points. (Less army was maybe RNG bad luck but I'm focusing on points.) The man who sat on and just fired a nuke is at 84. Point being, what type of a game-play is this going to promote? I haven't played it out forward but this is just a very stupid advantage going with. Even if nation X gets a moderate to go with it, so Y has 81 points, and X is still behind 6 points? Sure, Y might use conventional means to end the war as it goes, but why on earth is a nuclear weapon having a better effect in war? They were annoying as it is and very destructive but now people could actually win wars just because they fire nukes? I don't get this. This makes nukes too OP, especially since a bye bye at beige too. If you reply that I'm just complaining and not giving a solution, for this situation above, my solution is stop nukes being relevant here or drastically reduce their resistance score because otherwise it's actually a viable way to just sit and nuke to begin with and sprinkle with a few conventional attacks to get the victory. P.S I'm royally bad with maths and numbers, so please if I made a mistake, let me know.
  21. Changes aren't exciting me in theory and I feel disappointed really with the way the game is going. Perhaps they turn out to be better or in case they do suck in practice too, i hope you will be willing to improve them as required. You could've asked me a long while back. I once was raiding this one guy and next day I came online to having no record of that war. Not in notifications, no where. It was that old Pantheon guy called Rapture I think. Aka it all disappeared.
  22. Will we be seeing cancellation threads from now on?
  23. I don't know what this is but I feel interested.
  24. That's assuming UPN can actually be able to do that lol
