  1. Nietzsche once attributed the "Will to Power" as the driving force behind all human interaction. Similar claims can be made in the corporate culture. As money and market share equal power in the business realm, I tend to refer to this driving force as the "Will to Profit". All corporate action, be it consciously or sub-consciously, is driven by the desire to accumulate more long-term wealth for shareholders and investors. We can observe this in most cases of philantrophy. Despite the charitable nature of philantrophy, it is often propelled by selfishness. Philantrophy is viewed as a long-term investment in both intangible and tangible assets. The PR accumulated from philantrophic investments may indirectly influence brand positioning and long-term sales. The Syndicate is proud to report to its shareholders that its BK community development project has officially passed the break-even mark in terms of net-profit. The fledgeling alliance of the Black Knights has posted its first profitable term, and with that, has become self-sustaining. The Syndicate is happy to continue exploring profitable business ventures with its new found allies.
  2. Up until Tim kindly provided relevant information, the information was foggy. Once Tim cleared things up, we even got Iso on record stating: A simple post similar to that one would apparently have done the trick. You chose to attack these tS members verbally, as opposed to maintaining composure and calmly showing them the facts. Whether it was warranted or not, you actively chose not to engage in dialogue "because they are ignorant". Once again: I do not necessarily agree with the sentiment of my members, but I will voice my displeasure at you framing this as being some kind of Syndicate conspiracy, after you yourself perpetuated a situation in which so much can be left open to interpretation. The short but effective dialogue between Tim and Iso is all the tangible proof needed to support the above. EDIT: That said, it is time to end this conversation. It appears that we have both said what we needed to say. There is no use continuing a circular argument. You know where to find me on IRC (or in-game) if you have any concerns.
  3. This has little to do with what I "can and can not handle". If you are incapable of handling the dissent which flows from the initiation of a controversial move, perhaps you should not have made the move at all. Dissent is a natural by-product of any aggressive action one takes. To cry foul when one criticizes your actions in a public thread is silly to say the least. You sent me a passive-aggressive pm regarding the matter, which is a clear indicator of you understanding that the dissent you seem so agitated by does not come from The Syndicate as an entity. Yet, you followed that up with directly contradicting that sentiment in this thread before even giving any syndicate official the chance to follow up in any way whatsoever. As for opinions being uninformed: They are, because you did not properly inform them. They go off of what they see and hear on these forums, and apparently have based a negative opinion off of it. Is it my fault that the information stream apparently was not that good?
  4. If he refuses to explain the the reasons behind his opinion, that is ultimately his problem, as it will reflect poorly upon him. Once again though, I sincerely wonder what this has to do with The Syndicate as a whole, and why you lads felt so compelled to call us out. Perhaps the issue to me has more to do with the fact that I had hoped for more tact from you, especially provided that we have - what I consider to be - a good working relation. Be that as it may, what's done is done.
  5. You know well that this dissent stems from a select few - you addressed as much in your initial reply. perhaps you should either address the "dissent", as you call it, by properly expanding upon your reasoning, or alternatively, ignore it. One thing is for certain: calling out entire alliances over the opinion of a few is not going to do you any favors in terms of pr. At the very least it has not done so with me.
  6. My point was in reference mostly to your reference of "the syndicate", as well as Ragnars baseless insult regarding our independence.
  7. Speaking of ignorant rhetoric; the pot meets the kettle at last. The Syndicate as an entity does not see this war in either a negative, or a positive light. If a few individual members within our enterprise feel the need to make their concerns known, it would be immoral and unethical to deny them their right to do so. Their "Rhetoric" as you call it, appears to be a mixture of legitimate concern and moralism, worded in a poor fashion. Not everyone within this world is adept at writing. You would do well to remember that. Your inability to address my member's concerns in any way whatsoever is only overshadowed by your complete and utter disregard for common decency. Your attempts at devolving the conversation into a chain of insults and ad hominems against a political entity which has been rather civil towards you and yours surprise me to say the least. (EDIT: typo)
  8. We at the Syndicate applaud your efforts to share your prosperity with the less fortunate amongst this world. Philantrophy tends to be a strong indirect driver of any economy, and as such we recognize Guardian's efforts as being in the best interest of the Syndicate. It is to that end that we have pooled our human resources in order to support your endeavor. Hours of work have yielded considerable results in identifying the victims that were once part of Titan. We at the Syndicate hand you this list of Titan members to be aided as a gesture of goodwill. List of nations to receive aid: https://politicsandwar.com/index.php?id=15&keyword=The%20Syndicate&cat=alliance&ob=score&od=DESC&maximum=10&minimum=0&search=Go&memberview=true -Partisan, Syndicate director of Marketing
  9. AYYY LMAO The Syndicate recognizes the trend of hostile takeovers being prepared and conducted by certain brands in the market on their niche-focused competitors. Our organization, from an ethical point of view, has its reservations regarding the strategic objectives that are to be accomplished via the aforementioned moves. While the objective of providing customer satisfaction to the served consumer base may be achieved with relative ease, we have reason to believe that these takeovers will ultimately stunt global market development and subsequently limit long-term growth prospects. As an entity which envisions stable, continued upward motion to be the foundation of any profitable venture, we are wary of potential disruption of the market, for the implications it may have on the Syndicate business model. Should the aforementioned parties however, determine that it is in their best interest to proceed with their plans, the Syndicate would be appreciative if this were communicated to us privately, and within a timeframe of at least 72 hours prior to ratification, upon that our fledgeling business can put in place the precautions and mechanics that will ensure its ability to take proper advantage of the market destabilization. It goes without saying that your assistance in our risk mitigation- and business development efforts is much appreciated. We look forward to hearing from you soon. Signed Partisan, Director of Marketing The Syndicate
  10. The Syndicate declares that it holds equity in the fledgeling organization known as "The Coalition". Let it therefore be known what we will protect our assets from thievery, roguery and other such vandalism. When the law refuses to oblige to one's requests, privatization of law enforcement becomes a necessity. Welcome to the world, lads.
  11. What I do not understand is why you hit CU, out of all uninvolved/detached alliances out there. They were recently involved with "playing politics" when they were linked to the spy debacle surrounding Cyradis and Rose. They recently got out of a losing war. Let's call this as it is. It is not a "wake-up call" and it is not a "war excersize". This is a glorified raid, conducted simply because you can. A projection of power, nothing more. I do not mind it, and you are welcome to. I am simply confused as to your reasoning, provided that I see you as... smarter than this.
  12. In other words: How dare you criticize us for randomly hitting an uninvolved party. The shame.
  13. This is good to see. Congratulations to our friends in TEL and our allies in VE. May the profit be ever in your favor.
  14. We are always willing to provide Eumirbago, the favorite of the public.
  15. Excellent grouping. He's my rascal.
  16. Quick and intense. Just the way Abbas like his...wars Congratulations on peace lads.
  17. As long as we charge high for tickets. Profit margins and all that.
