  1. Aight, I have a good sermon that no one will read.
I'll type this up in between farm work, so cut me some slack if I sound like an idiot.
Right so, as I have said before I have Major Depressive Disorder. Because I know Depression is a relatively common mental illness while still being misunderstood, I think that would be a proper topic for this sermon (considering I attempted suicide a few days ago). I will still review the commandments and make a religious statement on modern events.

Let's start with the technical bit. Depression is an overarching term including multiple disorders.
    They include,
    Major Depression (which I have)
    Persistent Depression
Manic Depression (also called Bipolar Disorder)
    Etc.
Roughly 30% of the general public reports depressive symptoms but less than 10% has severe, chronic depression.
Depression as a word is often overused and thus misunderstood. Depression is not sadness, and it also doesn't have to have a physical cause. Depression is often genetic, but can be environmental.
For example, my mother is bipolar and so is my grandmother. Thus doctors think it is partially genetic for me. But I also grew up in an unstable environment, with (as previously mentioned) unstable parents. My doctor said that is a contributing factor as well.
Lesser known causes can be medical. Medications, diseases, disorders, or just chemical imbalance can also cause depression.
I have Chronic Idiopathic Thrombocytopenic Purpura (cITP) which causes me to have low platelets. Platelets carry serotonin. Low levels of serotonin are known to cause depression. I implore you to look all this up so that you don't have to take my word for it.
I'm also going through puberty which provides it's own mood swings and depressive episodes due to chemicals being wacky.

Alright now that's out of the way let's do some statistics.

Women are about twice as likely to have depression, but are about four times as likely to be treated. Men, although are not depressed as much, get worse episodes of depression and will hide it more so than women.

Suicide due to depression is the second biggest killer of people aged 15-29.

Depression, as much as I am a hypocrite of this, is no joke. If someone you know may have depression, confront them. Ask them simply, "Are you okay?" "Do you want to talk?". Talking with someone who is depressed is the easiest way to help.

Fun fact, if someone tries to use depression as a point to gain an upper hand in a conversation, they aren't depressed.
Most people with Depression don't want to talk about it. Hell I don't want to, but quite frankly I also don't care about my life and if this helps someone else I'd gladly be made fun of for it.

Lmao a WWF commercial just came on my T.V. Literally just goes "Don't give up" as I typed that up. Lol, I'm being listened to.

Anywho, I think I'll move on now.

    Commandment time.

    The 9th Commandment says,
"Thou shall not covet thy neighbor's wife."

Kinda like the 6th, but this is the idea of it. Don't think about sex with someone already married. But I think it a different way. In my experience with guys, they can't control the idea. What is admirable is a man who is loyal enough that they will ignore their own natural instinct for a women. I think this commandment is telling men (and women I suppose) to stay strong and loyal. And not to cause others to faulter and be disloyal either.

I have farmwork and schoolwork to do now, so I will wrap this up here. I hope this helps someone.

Stay safe, stay happy, stay healthy.

    Godspeed.
