I do not believe that "Blacker" is inherently bad nor racist, and I also do not believe that title-case capitalization indicates racism either.

Credit goes to Lucky Luciano for the original idea and shared credit to Key, TRKaisern OnvOckIS, Fine and Dandy for talking about the idea in the PnW server. Trade is rather bland in PnW and offers little in the way of beneficial and varied policy. You can either openly trade or embargo and not trade at all. This has some benefits but its use cases are limited. Introducing Tariffs to the game would add the ability to apply a form of trade restriction that discourages trade with a group rather than ban it out right. A garden hose dial rather than kinking the hose you could say. So I propose this new mechanic would work is like this. Lets say Alliance A and B dislike each other. Alliance A puts a 25% tariff on B. A member of Alliance B is selling Lead at 1000 PPU, and a member of Alliance A buys 1k of lead. The 1k of lead will cost 1 million and will go to the seller as usual and the 25% tariff will add a $250,000 "fee" that goes to Alliance A's bank (the buyers alliance). The buyer would pay 1.25 million in total. In simplest terms: Buyer: -$1,250,000 & +1,000 Lead Seller: +$1,000,000 & -1,000 Lead Buyer's Alliance (25% Tariff Placer): +$250,000 So why would this be cool? Well you could dissuade members from buying from certain alliances while still allowing them to if the price is significantly lower than alternatives. Also unlike embargoes the alliance will gain the benefit of an added stream of revenue. Additionally it adds another form of income which will spice up tax incentives. Imagine an alliance advertising themselves as being "free trade" while they have high taxes while another alliance advertising themselves (as many do now) as "Tax Free" yet they have high tariffs. This would also get us closer to what seemed to be the goal of shared markets. What do I mean by this? The goal of markets seemed to be an attempt to isolate trade. I'll put this for sale on our shared market and then only allies can buy it. This largely only gets used occasionally by a member trying to help other alliance members out by selling with a lower profit. The issue is that individual players when trading at large do not care who and or where their food or gas comes from or goes to while alliance governments do. Tariffs open the door to alliance governments to artificially raise prices, said prices seem to be the only decider in PnW's market. We all know 99% of players click on whatever the lowest PPU and buy whatever they need, whether friend or foe. Tariffs will make it so the member makes the amount they expected to and while buying there urge to buy cheap pushes them to allies not enemies. This makes it possible to finally steer trade a little bit. You can even use this to make markets more useful. I propose two kinds of tariffs. Global and Alliance specific. Global tariffs would apply to all none members unless your alliance shares a market. Shared markets would treat the members of the other alliances as "members" tariff wise. So if you have a 4% global tariff and share your market with your ally then your members wont pay a tariff for that alliance's goods. This will make setting up "free trade zones" in blocs so much easier. It would be even easier if you could have multiple alliances join one shared market that isnt pegged to one alliance but I do not know how easy that would be to implement vs just tacking on the tariff mechanic to existing infrastructure. Alliance Tariffs are exactly as they sound. A tariff set on one specific alliance. They would supersede global tariffs. If you had a 3% global tariff and put a 10% tariff on alliance C then the alliance tariff applies not the global tariff. Well that's the idea in short and bare bones. I am sure more detail is needed and I have no clue how easy or difficult it would be to add. I like the idea hope yall do as well.

We recently went through a national election here in the U.S., where it was made rather clear by American voters that they were tired of people who see racism where it doesn't exist, but who then proceed to harass and gaslight others until either they see the racism too, and those who still refuse to see it are declared racist. If I had my way, all the team color names would simply be the name of the color they represent. Rather than that common sense solution, the OP is demanding that things be changed to symbols, because as we know, symbols can never be racist.... If this is some sort of running joke, not funny. If this is an attempt to insert RL politics into a game that doesn't benefit from it, at all, then go find something else to do.

"FAP's White Cream" is obviously a sexual innuendo, and perhaps should be forbidden, but it hasn't caused any issues to this point to my knowledge. But the word "White", and that it's capitalized, does not make it racist, you agree? While I would agree that "black" is an absolute in the literal sense, obviously there are shades of black. Some blacks can be blacker than other blacks. For example, if you went to a paint store, you could buy black paint, and likely a bunch of shades of black. But there's still Vantablack, which is going to be blacker than even the blackest paint you can buy at a paint store. I'm not sure I understand why you think "Bigger" makes it racist? Small, medium, big, etc. have no bearing on race AFAIK. I think you are the one who is purposefully misconstruing the whole thing to make something out of nothing. I also do not think there are long-standing issues of racism in this community. While I imagine there are people who may hold racist beliefs, we can't read people's minds and any expression of racist beliefs in the game has also resulted in moderation action. I have never seen someone say or take a racist action and intentionally ignored it or allowed it. Why not? I feel like title case would be appropriate. The Color Trade Blocs are supposed to have names, and typically in English you capitalize names. Why not? It's setup democratically where all bloc members have an opportunity to vote on the name they wish. I don't see any reason why a plurality of voters cannot name it after (almost) anything. I would say no, but obviously language is interpreted subjectively. As seems to be the case here - while you seem to think that "Bigger Blacker Knight" is inherently racist, I disagree and haven't seen anyone else yet see it from your point of view. I've never heard of "Mighty White of you" being used in anything but a pejorative manner. We would have take the same action if you had said "Mighty Black of you" to someone. Again, no one seems to be misinterpreting it but you. So I would ask to clarify, again, which part makes it racist? Is the word "Black" bad and so anything that uses "Black" racist? (I don't think there's anything wrong with "Black" or black people, personally, so I do not see anything racist about it.) Is it "Bigger" that makes it racist? I don't even see how saying something is big, or black, or big and black, is racist. Again, is "big" inherently bad? I'm assuming "Knight" is not exactly relevant since you haven't brought that up, but I don't know of any racist connotation in regards to knights. Is the alliance name "Black Knights" inherently racist?

Well, you might notice how majority of my wars were actually attrition lately if you actually paid attention, so it's a miracle that im still positive. On the other hand, it troubles me to see you take a constant L lol, like that time just a few days ago when u tried to raid a person without any military and still failed. What I said is true, he is consistently unable to raid over 200mill, even though he specifically raids (unlike me, who is busy annoying others). I do not believe you. Players here say it is racist, and that is what matters. And ironically, the entire word recognizes that Team Racist won that election. The thing is that there have been many many racist variations, primarily with the Black colour bloc, and almost all stemming from the Black Knights, who associate with the Fighting Pacifists, who I reported a few years ago for using White power slogans and harassing me on discord with racist comments when I did so. There is a clear pattern if you pay attention. Your suggestion is not a bad one, and that would work for me, but @Alex already rejected that. Ironically, again, you are the one inserting RL politics into this game - I am only arguing for proper grammar here. It is pretty clear that you are easily duped, so maybe reconsider your position. Start by refunding yourself the time you took to make an utterly useless reply.

1) Only the mechanic at play here is not title capitalization (you unnecessarily capitalized that term), but a game rule that says the colour should be capitalized. 2) Again, not the issue in play here. 3) Black is not a colour tone. It is the complete absence of colour, and therefore tone. The many different names we give to dark shades of grey, and call varieties of black are really references to glossiness, texture, reflectivity...etc There is not one tone of black. Context was not the right word, I mean that the reference was obvious. 5) My point was that many things like context, references, punctuation...etc affect the meaning of a sentence. See correction above. The reference is obvious. And it's super edgy too. no one understands it but a few giggling racist teens somewhere on the interwebz. Either way, the only thing that makes the context is FAP's White Cream, indicating that the names may have overt sexual references. If there is a reference to sex organs or fluids, then we can regress logically and assume that "Bigger Blacker" may indeed refer to race and body parts. It is a gross and offensive name. Note: not all words in the colour trade block names are capitalized, so once again, the mechanic at play here is NOT title capitalization, but an erroneous game rule being defended for no good reason. Move to CMY palette and the problem is solved. 7) I will go out on a limb here and guess that you are not Black. Further, I am willing to bet that you are White. Black is a race according to Black people, as much as White is a race according to White people. African American is not a race, nor are any of the other nationalities you listed. You are super out of touch - what are you 70 years old? When you study history, you write a lot, and you read even more. I read 5 languages and write very competently in 2, so an English Lit degree or something would be of very limited utility, and would not cover anywhere near the range of topics covered in a History degree (in my case with a minor in Classics). When you study languages like I have, you understand your own language better as well. I will make a last guess about you and say that you are likely monolingual, right? And do not possess a university degree? What makes the latter obvious is that you lack critical reasoning. I have 2 degrees, will start my PhD in April, teach in 3 Master's programs worldwide, have done business on the ground in 45 countries (so far), own my own business, and have been happily married for close to 26 years now, have 2 sons who are at the top of their classes academically and in sports, and know racism when I see it. If you are not a septuagenarian, get out of the house and broaden your horizons - the world is larger, more complex, and nuanced that you seem to think. PS. My grandfather had a Vickers light machine gun melt in his hands from the monotony of shooting indoctrinated blue-eyed, blond fascist teenagers at the end of WW2. He stayed on in Europe as an intelligence officer (because he was multilingual as my entire family is), to repent for his participation in the war by using his resources to reunite families destroyed by the right-wing fascists that ravaged Europe and much of the world. I went to research his war records in Ottawa, and they handed me a box of medals that he had repeatedly refused to collect - I left them there. I had a great uncle (other side of the family) who was murdered by the nazis at Auschwitz for being a Semite, despite being a Catholic. His 2 young sons were sent to Belsen and killed there - neither made it to 10 years old. His wife remarried - her husband's best friend, who was interned with him and managed to survive found her a year after the war ended and fulfilled his promise to his best friend and took care of her until she passed away - they were married for almost 40 years. As a mixed race individual, I am not accepted by any racial group, always the outsider, and the two blessings people like me have is clarity on this topic and the knowledge that it will not be long before we are the majority and race loses its appeal as a political instrument. My entire family takes racism very seriously, and before you get it wrong, know that we are conservative, but hella not fascists. I call bullshit on all of your ridiculous cover arguments. Racism like this is obvious, and Americans should be especially sensitive to it given the history of genocide and slavery there.

That was not the pun you made - Cards is your cover story. Has it occurred to you that maybe Card was making the pun I am suggesting is the obvious one? And you are perpetuating it by purposely feigning ignorance? If you stand by it when someone has made you aware of the fact that it is offensive and inappropriate, then yes, you must be racist. That is a deduction, as I don't really know you, but can you disagree with the logic? If you were unknowingly racist, which I doubt because as I mentioned there is not a single reference to Cards on your nation page or BK alliance page, then you have now been made aware. Understand that I am not even Black, I just call out racism where I see it, and as an educator, I consider it supreme arrogance to place the onus of understanding on the listener. When I and apparently several other people read that, we see the same racist trope, so the statement is definitely racist. So, are you racist, or will you agree to find a more suitable, less offensive name to celebrate the (ironically) racist, genocidal, delusional, violent fanatics that the you based your alliance name on (ie the Hospitaliers who wore black armour, aka the Black Knights)?
