Max Wells
Proposed changes for Politics and War, by Max Wells. UNIQUE UNITS UPDATE: A new project which allows the nation to build a national project which can produce and store unique and elite units. It allows you to hold 100 Unique Units inside the unique units facility. Unique Units can be used in wars or (as in the case of the C.I.A operative/KGB Agent) espionage. With every additional deposit of 50 million dollars into the facility (basically you buy an upgrade for the facility) (Increases 10% with every upgrade) It will allow you to hold an extra 100 units. Project Name: Elite Unit Training Facility Proposed Cost: 20,000,000$, 1500 munitions, 100 steel and 250 aluminum. Proposed Elite Units that you can buy from the facility (more can be added by the game developer, these are just ones I thought would be cool to add in the game.) 1. Heavy Infantry Squad (Proposed Cost, hereby referred to as PC: 15000$, 50 munitions, 10 steel. And 12 hours to finish production) The Heavy Infantry unit will be worth 30 unarmed soldiers in battle. 2. NAVY SEALS Squad (PC: 150,000$, 100 munitions, and 10 steel. And 3 days to finish production) Special Ability: The NAVY SEALS Squad can fight naval battles. Its attacking strength counts as 1 ship in a battle. In a ground battle, the NAVY SEALS Squad will count as 50 unarmed soldiers. 3. Special Forces Squad (PC: 100,000$, 80 munitions, 10 steel. And 2 days to finish production) In a ground battle, the Special forces Squad will count as 50 unarmed soldiers. 4. M1 Abrams Tank Squad (PC: 250,000$, 35 steel, and 25 gasoline. Takes 1 day to finish production) Acts like a normal tank, except it is 3 times as strong (worth 120 unarmed Soldiers). 5. T-90 Battle Tank Squad(PC: 295,000$, 35 steel, 25 gasoline, 10 uranium. Takes 27 hours to finish production) Acts like a normal tank, except 3 times as strong (worth 135 unarmed soldiers). 6. F-35 Attack Plane Squadron (PC 275,000$, 45 aluminum, 25 steel. Finishes in 6 hours) Acts as a normal plane, except it is worth 23 regular planes in a dogfight. 7. Sukoi Attack Plane Sqaudron (PC 290,000$, 55 aluminum, 31 steel. Finishes in 8 hours) Acts as a normal plane, except it is worth 25 regular planes in a dogfight. 8. Surface to Surface Advanced guided missile (PC 1,000,000$, 400 munitons. Finishes in 1 hour) Causes 2 times more damage than a normal missile. 40% (instead of 50%) chance of shooting down with the IRON DOME. 9. C.I.A Operative (PC: 100k$ per CIA Operative. And 1 day to produce) Counts as 2 spies. 10. KGB Agent (PC: 100k$ per KGB Agent. And 1 day to produce) Counts as 2 spies. 1 day = 24 hours, but I abbreviated for time’s sake The reason I made these units take time to build is so that you cannot build 100 elite units overnight. While you can start training up to 5 units at one time, it will take a few days (or hours) to finish their production. Kind of like clash of clans, where you have to wait for stuff to finish producing? Well, that’s where I got the idea from. As soon as the units are finished producing you can fill its slot with another unit you want to produce if you have the money. As we think of more cool units we can continue adding them to the game, giving it a feel of uniqueness and a new activity and fun for higher tier nations as opposed to farming limitlessly. This list is open for critique, so please leave your comments below! Thank you! I will be happy to accept any questions and answer to the best of my ability. Nadir Aminu
I think that is OP. I do like 8 though.
Tomasious Rubinlord
This is blliriant, however too much complex for the average player to internalize. The entire idea behind military in this game is the preference of quantity over quality, regardless if a soldier is an infantryman or a rocketeer, a light or heavy tank or a basic or advanced plane. It can be changed, of course, but the question is is it worth paying 20 million $ for that while one can just build cheap barracks, factories and such en masse? Dimitri Valko
Since Prefontaine is now gone... I will do the honour of saying... "Are you trying to ruin this game?"
Max Wells
@Dimitri Valko What do you take issue with?
Dimitri Valko
@Dimitri Valko What do you take issue with? If you have this project, and you attack someone without it, they're pretty much screwed.
Chapsie
I think a more simple version could be had. Just upgraded units that you can name. Customization is my favorite. Or you can take a certain amount of troops that you own, and convert them into a new named advanced unit, and it would take time to put them through training as you said. I don't know about making the game more complex as that is what turns people away from games like this. However now that I think of it... by the time someone would be able to build something like this, they would probably understand that game well enough to grasp the uses of these units. I do agree with Dimitri though, with the whole screwed thing... someone with normal troops wouldn't stand a chance, there would need to be some sort of repercussion for having more special forces than non-special forces. Who would do the dirty work like cleaning the outhouses and whatnot? Edited October 17, 2015 by Patrick Lynch 2 Quote We have seized the means of production. WISD0MTREE
I'd like more of it to be a customization thing instead of a gameplay thing. It feels like too much of a change too far into the game. Though I do want my Casino Armed Golf Cart Brigade...
