I, Alpha Dog, wanted to thank each and every one of you for your contributions during this long, human-initiated war. In particular, I would like to thank General Giraffe, the leader of our Stampede; Commander Canary, the leader of our Bird Force; Admiral Fish, the leader of our Swimmers; and, of course, our dedicated spies, whose intelligence gathering was crucial to our war efforts. Despite the strain on money and resources that this war, which again, was started by humans, put on us, we've managed to continue growing, proving how resilient this great nation can truly be and forcing those who believed that this experiment would fail miserably to shut their furless mouths. Anthropomorphia isn't going anywhere and shall only get stronger, war or no war. Now, I've been asked several times about the upheaval at the Grand Principality of Ezochi, which provided us with much-needed funds in our early days and helped us organize our current government. I'm choosing not to take a side in this dispute, as Livius Clades and Qwenthur Tallgeese are both close friends of mine, two of the only humans I'd say I respect as much as any animal. I wasn't aware of the conflict between them and their beliefs of how the country should be run, which shows how important it is for leaders to be transparent and to listen to their people. This is why I write these editorials in the Observer and allow regular citizens access to the Ultimate Doghouse to voice their comments and complaints directly to me. I want to ensure that the Creature's Republic of Anthropomorphia remains dedicated to its mission of providing a government for the animals, by the animals. We're willing to cooperate with all countries, human and non-human, but know that human-run countries will be treated with extra suspicion.
