Queen Jennifer dead; Opeck Sucession a possibility; FA changes

In the afternoon of August 29th, 2005, Thalmor's wife, Queen Jennifer of The Kingdom of The Evenstar, was found dead at the age of 51 in the master bedroom of the Royal Palace by one of her servants.

The National Health Service concluded that she had died of natural causes, and foul play nor assassination is suspected. However, the Evenstar Intelligence Department is opening an investigation just in case.

Queen Jennifer was never active in politics alongside her husband, Thalmor, and instead spent most of her time in the past few decades studying science or history.

Upon hearing the news, it is reported that King Thalmor locked himself in his office and has only came out to use the restroom a few times. Even as the typing of this, he remains in his office.

 

Down south on the island of Opeck, the Opeck Liberation Collective has grown into a full political movement trying to secede Donas and Unita from Evenstar rule.

It is now thought of that several local politicians and nearly 100,000 (one-fifth of the island's total population) people on Opeck have some ties to the O.L.C..

The Evenstar Intelligence Department reports that ''..should the island of Opeck declare independence, the O.L.C. may have enough political clout to enforce such a move.''

Despite the warning, the Unita and Donas Military Police both have sworn to shut down any attempts at independence.

 

Going over to foreign affairs, we would like to announce that The Evenstar has cancelled our N.A.P. with Meonesia.

With the death of the Royal Family, King Thalmor has lost interest in the island and has no interest in preserving relations with the nation. It was rumored that King Thalmor calls Meonesia a ''failed state'' in his internal memos.

Meonesia has also been in several wars, is developing controversial weapons, and is making asinine economic decisions as of late. As such, many in the Department of War wonder if Meonesia is a threat to Evenstar-Meonesia., The Evenstar would also like to confirm our ODoAP with the Greater Meta Republic and our MDoAP with The Holy Britannian Empire.

We would also like to remind the world that although we have no formal treaties with them, we are still allies to Chernigov and Sweden.

 

Finally, we congratulate The People's Republic of Velika on their completion of the Palace of People's Trade. Building International Trade Centers are major feats of construction that take a lot of time and resources. The Kingdom of The Evenstar hopes to have one of their own by March 1st of 2006.

The QE Senior Command sends it's condolences. A tragic event, a life taken by nature to be taken to the ancestors is such a sad thing. We will hold a day of silence to honor her name and ask the Ancestors to take her in with open arms.
