OCTOBER 31st:

2:33 pm: 83,000 Spanish soldiers landed on Long Zokel Beach of Ataeten. Our navy had spotted the ships coming and soldiers prepared for the attack. The Meonesian military set up machine guns and artillery, and soldiers were prepared.

2:49 pm: Sixteen minutes after the Spanish landed on Long Zokel Beach, 7,000 were dead or wounded.

3:00 pm: By 3:00, 15,000 were dead or wounded. The beach was littered with dead bodies.

3:30 pm: By 3:30 pm, the beach was covered in 24,000 bodies.

3:38 pm: The Spanish finally made it up the hill from the beach, with almost 30,000 casualties. There they killed the machine gunners brutally. The Spanish and Meonesian soldiers engaged in combat at point blank range. Both sides lost about 2,000 more before the Spanish overpowered the soldiers at Long Zokel Beach.

4:03 pm: The Spanish ran without any order into the streets, killing soldiers, police, national guard, and looting and destroying Ataeten. They pushed the Meonesian army in Ataeten out of the city and into the surrounding hills.

4:57 pm: The Meonesian army and Spanish army took part in a stalemate on two hills. Either side controlled a hill across from the other.

5:03 pm: Captain Rogish Maqieu led 1,000 men in a charge across the depression in between the hills to the Spanish side. Only 218 men survived to the other side, though they caused chaos in the front lines allowing High Captain Qomex Waratanaw to lead 4,000 more men across with much fewer casualties. Though Captain Maqieu died, High Captain Qomex Waratanaw managed to win the hill where the Spanish were.

5:38 pm: 125,000 Spanish troops arrived from Spain, again on Long Zokel Beach which was undeffended as the Meonesians in Ataeten fought on the outskirts of Ataeten.

5:48 pm: 125,000 Spanish troops joined in fighting. They quickly forced the Meonesians to retreat out of Ataeten. They followed and left what was left of the original force to stay in Ataeten and nearby areas.

9:03 pm: By this time the small cities of Qoreieu, Mwoqi, and Porqskap were occupied by Spanish troops.

SEPTEMBER 1:

No fighting occurred on this day, though another 30,000 troops arrived from Spain.

SEPTEMBER 2:

No fighting, 40,000 more troops arrived. 13,000 former Meonesian troops were re-enlisted and began training in a rush.

SEPTEMBER 3:

10:39 am: 10,000 more Spanish troops arrived.

10:48 am: King Altim Atae himself came out to give this speech to his troops before they attacked the Spanish a few miles outside Meokraud, as well as lead the charge itself:

"Forth, men and women of Meo, and fear no darkness! Arise, arise! For guns will be fired, and bombs will explode! But now, for a sword day! A red day! Ere, the sun rises! *draws sword and points forward towards Spanish camps* Charge now, Charge now! Charge, charge to ruin and the world's ending!!! DEATH! DEATH! DEATH! *leads charge towards Spanish*

(Also yes, we still use horse cavalries)

This led to about 4,000 Meonesian casualties and an outstanding 18,000 Spanish casualties, before the Meonesians retreated out of Meokraud to nearby town of Uiqu.

1:18 pm: Spanish troops marched towards Uiqu and attacked it with such ferocity that 3,000 Meonesians died or were wounded in the first minute of battle. The Meonesian troops there surrendered themselves, although a few hundred escaped, among them King Atae and his guard.

1:23 pm: Meonesia's capital was moved to Agriq as Meokraud is under Spanish control.

8:32 pm: After Spanish troops pushed all the way to about 3 miles from Agriq, a temporary cease fire was agreed to.

Would it have been better to move the capital to Veswest?

Maybe... We will if necessary.

Currently no fighting has occurred for the last month, so we have been training more troops. Unfortunately Spain is doing the same.

The GMR shows no interest in this war. However we STILL have a lifetime supply of popcorn.

(OOC: When quoting someone with a picture REMOVE THE PICTURE in the quote so we don't have to see the picture twice. It reduces clutter in posts.)

Well, since we are in the process of colonizing the Philippines, I guess we cant help militarily, but we can send some army engineers and special forces if need be.
