The Order of Humanity should designate the claims around Taiwan exempt from the fees.

Boom, problem solved.

I still think that a nation should not be allowed to make such large claims.

This is very small

It doesn't matter what you think.

This is geopolitics; if you have a problem with it, then you should enforce your own opinion with action.

We will embargo them should they not repeal their claims.

Athretvari Rejects Extent of the Order of Humanity’s Maritime Claims and Imposition of Ransom-Tolls Endangering Freedom of Navigation

Athretvar Minister of State Samu Jaksa strongly condemned the passage of new maritime regulations by the Order of Humanity, saying, “The Government of Athretvari rejects the extreme maritime claims by the Government of the Order of Humanity to control the waters between Taiwan and the Filipino island of Luzon. And maintain that it will recognize the Order of Humanity’s sovereign rights to no more than half of the waters between those places.â€

“Athretvari will only recognize a territorial sea extending upto 12 nautical miles from the Order of Humanity’s coasts to which the Government of the Order of Humanity has a legitimate right to restrict entry or passage by foreign vessels; a Contiguous Sea upto 24 nautical miles from the Order of Humanity’s coasts to which the Government of the Order of Humanity has a legitimate right to set basic maritime navigation rules; and an Exclusive Economic Zone upto 200 nautical miles from the Order of Humanity’s coasts to which the Government of the Order of Humanity has a legitimate right to exclusively engage in economic activities such as fishing and mining, or scientific activities such as surveying.â€

“Unlike the Athretvar Maritime Regulations Concerning Foreign Ships, which clearly define the various Athretvar Waters, establish basic security and safety rules through the Athretvar canals and around the Athretvar islands, and does also permit the free travel of foreign ships through waters farther than 12 nautical miles from the islands of Athretvari and closer if they actually have business in Athretvari; the Order of Humanity threatens instead to limit and harm the free flow of international commerce far from its shores through the force of ransom upon foreign vessels. Vessels that would otherwise have no business with the Order of Humanity.â€

“Insofar as the new maritime regulations from the Order of Humanity interfere with Athretvari’s or other foreign nation’s free usage of the southern half of the waters between Taiwan and the Filipino island of Luzon to conduct commerce that would otherwise not involve the Order of Humanity, those regulations are not recognized by Athretvari, nor shall any Athretvar vessel be bound to obey said regulations when traversing through those same southern waters.â€

“The Athretvar Defense Forces Naval Corps have dispatched the 2nd Squadron of the Maria Capital Fleet and the 3rd Squadron of the Magdalena Fleet, a combination of 10 ORCA-class warships, to patrol the waters from north of Athretvari’s Exclusive Economic Zone to and through the southern half of the waters between Taiwan and the Filipino island of Luzon, and are ordered and authorized to use all necessary means to protect Athretvar vessels from undue harassment and insure the free flow of international commerce through those waters.â€

“The Government of Athretvari requests specifically that the Order of Humanity—â€

1. Limit the extent of its maritime claims to no more than the northern half of the waters between Taiwan and the Filipino island of Luzon.

2. Rescind all threats to impose fees upon foreign vessels, or their cargo, traversing through those aforementioned southern waters.

“Should the Government of the Order of Humanity fail to quickly meet this request and attempt to harass any Athretvar vessel or other foreign vessel in the southern waters between Taiwan and the Filipino island of Luzon, Athretvari shall take immediate action against all vessels flying the flag of the Order of Humanity when in those waters or the waters of Athretvari.â€

Denied, as this is an attempt to infringe on our sovereignty and our right to protect and secure our own waters.
