  1. @Alex, I think that the entire idea of being fixated on using cities to take care of what seems to be a material glut is kind of, well, pointless. Perhaps a better fix would be to reduce the amount of raw materials available. For example, maybe delete the 50% production bonus for having max mines, wells, and/or farms. This would have the effect of increasing the price of the 6 raw materials by around a third over time (after players use up the excess materials), since production of each would be 1/3 less efficient on all of Orbis. Processed materials would have to increase in price also, since the raw materials needed to manufacture the 4 processed ones increased in price, or takes more cities to mine/drill/grow. I'd predict market prices wouldn't be affected immediately, but it would increase slowly over time; nothing radical. Basic supply and demand. Maybe an easy fix to the program/game? Even the dead hand of Keynes would approve! Something like changing productivity at the beginning of the supply chain (raw mat'ls) might be a permanent economic fix for all of Orbis. Just don't over-correct the food! No starvation!? @Prefontaine, What do you think? N.B. - I'm still kind of a n00b, but the Orbis materials market does seem to function on supply and demand.
  2. I like the idea of using projects to increase demand for materials. If the project(s) is (are) relatively inexpensive, but cost a lot of resources, that'd do wonders for market prices. The only catch would be the project or projects would have to be a "gotta have that/these" to a vast majority of players. Just my 2 cents.
  3. It was fun following this one, complete with a surprise war result in more ways than one. Call it a win for Soup, right down to the good sportsmanship! Well played, sirs. Well played!
  4. This lowly serf noticed the same whale pods offshore Monday morning whilst slackin' off on his peasant allotment. So, I ran to the Discord as fast as my n00b feet could carry me, to duly inform my Mighty SK Overlords about sighting these supposedly extinct species of cetaceans. After duly abasing myself before my Masters, one of the Ancients told me the entire species of SA/Alpha whale beached themselves long ago in a mass-extinction rage quit event. Or words to that effect, anyway. The Ancient Oracle also mentioned something about there being more than one whaling fleet involved. I love history.
  5. You guys got some souper impressive war stats!
  6. 2-1 in net damage dealt as of 2PM today? Yup! SOUP is HOTT!! Good thing you guys only do soup. A total feast might prove to be way too nutritious and delicious!;)
  7. That video was excellent! Loved the dubbed-in smack-talk and blurb banners! Guys like you taking the time to do these kinds of visuals, stills or video, are what makes P&W totally worth the time! ...although my wife thinks we all need serious help from competent mental health professionals. And that was an entertaining propaganda pic of Gen. Grievious, @Asierith . Nice!
  8. I don't think there's anything too insidious going on. SOUP probably wanted to keep The Horsemen out of it 'cause the odds would be stacked too heavily against them going it alone. SOUP starting a war vs WTFark AND The Horsemen would be glorious, yet....face facts...would smack of suicidal tendencies and outright insanity! It's not like their chances of victory are fantastic vs WTFark. Given the numbers posted elsewhere by Shifty, I think it was, WTFark should win. SOUP's the underdog, but they're the ones that threw down the gauntlet. And given the recent score graphs of the combatants.....well, The Soup Kitchen obviously serves up some seriously pipin'-hot appetizers! Bon appetit! UPDATE: Net War Stat from NPowned as of 1:45PM EDT: Net damage $565,614,089....advantage: SOUP.

    Nukes

I'm still a n00b in a training alliance, and, yeah, nukes scare me a bit, but so do 5-5-5-3 military machines. I'm in no hurry to get nuke capable, either. Too many other projects, in my n00bile opinion, are of more immediate use. Maybe I'll go Lil' Kimmie's route after hitting 35-45K infra or so. SOUP War: My 2 cents - From what I noticed this evening, after a quick peek at some of the SOUP nations' wars, they seem to be winning, but the retaliatory nuke strikes....well....they're paying for a possible win. A POSSIBLE win by a NEW alliance! ChAoTiCaLlY wild in itself, I think. The undead hand of General Pyrrhus' victory over the Romans moves them....but the Soup's still pretty damn hot! If I wasn't already loyal to my alliance and SK, I'd definitely think about droppin' by the Soup Kitchen for a piping-hot bowl of French Onion! Win or lose, face facts: They rolled up their sleeves, put on their aprons and big boy pants, and served up a whole heapin' helpin' of Campbell's Whoop-Ass Soup! Maybe not the smartest move for a new alliance, but I just can't help being a Soup fanboy. Take on two solid alliances at once for their combat debut....Hey! Gordon Ramsey, taste THAT Soup, b**ch! And SOUP hasn't asked for any assistance at all that I'm aware of. Not so much as a wooden spoon. P.S. - I go to ORB for my news about happenings on Orbis: https://orb-gaming.com/ Great site, Max!
  10. Emperor Jonas has just got to be trolling. If not, let me recommend FarmVille.
  11. Patesi Gudea here. Greetings from Outremer! (<------ Not affiliated with KT!!), I figured I'd do this intro, since I'm a relatively new player that's been lurking on this forum off and on for months, overcame procrastination, and set up a forum account. Also, to give a shout-out to @Maia and @Ripper for the Ultimate Artwork on Orbis! And may Lord Goro return, and put Buffalo, NY back on the map! Seeing this town #1 on a leader board for somethin' besides epic levels of suck is what enticed me into this game in the first place. Go ChAoS!! End Transmission.
