  1. So do we need to submit a ticket to get it fixed?
  2. It's not an alliance tax, because the cash/resources that go into buying the moon and mars projects doesn't go to the alliance it just goes into the void. I consider it a tax you pay for being stupid enough to actually buy them. If we are being honest atleast taxes can be used to improve something, where as these 2 projects do absolutely nothing, besides take up a project slot and can never be removed, and that money/resources are gone forever. It brings great pain and shame to myself and grumpy to see just how many of my members paid the idiot tax for the moon project. Titan, if I can get small enough, I will murder your nation. This is a legitimate game suggestion and expect it to be treated as such. If you dont think its an idiot tax just look at the list of the first 5 people to buy the mars project. If you ever wanted to see a list of the best and brightest orbis has to offer, look no further.
  3. That is 1200 improvement slots, in my nation alone I have 2880 improvement slots, all those nukes wouldn't even have killed half my slots. To be honest if it was up to me, I would have made it so it kills 5 improvement slots. There are ways to stop a nuker, but as we are not allies, i am not going to say it in public against possible future opponents. also for clarity to make sure i understand on of the changes, the VDS makes is so only only 1 improvement destroyed can be military/power, and 3 will kill whatever else. or is it 1 improvement can be military/power, and 2 other random improvements can be killed.
  4. I would love to see that if you change your gov settings to get the 5% discount to buying projects, it should not lower the cost of the moon and mars projects. Actually now that i think about it, it should charge you 5% more. If you are stupid enough to waste all those resources and a project slot on something that does nothing, you deserve the maximum punishment to your warchest for it. That is all. -SRD
  5. yes i have also run into this. my guess is it only works after you buy it? so it wont reset the timer back to 1 when you purchase it. which is honestly a little disappointing.
  6. Back in the day, if you want to know what is in grumpy's bank you could have just asked me, i would tell ya. Now i would have to get approval from pres before giving that info out.
  7. The best football team is the New York Jets! I only say that because I am a Jets fan, and in reality they are hot garbage.
  8. Did you guys end up accomplishing anything of note during your time? There was if i recall alot of talent in that alliance.
  9. From my viewpoint, the gov expands as the membership expands. Taking my own personal experience of starting up and running grumpy. When we first formed and had about 10-15 members, i did everything, i ran the bank, i did our FA, i did our IA, I ran the military and i had a few people as higher level advisors to run ideas across to make sure I didnt do anything supremely stupid. As we grew I had to start delegating responsibilities, I gave up Econ to Pres, then I took on a military lead, at one point I hired a FA guy (what up zig!) I did this because the amount of work needed to do these jobs to the level I thought they required, needed more than just me micromanaging everything. End of the day, as a gov member your general membership is your customer, and you need to be serving them as best you can. You need to remember they dont work for you, you work for them. I think alot of people either dont understand this, or just dont realize this, and those people are terrible leaders.
  10. This is quite literally how I formed Grumpy, I took my experience of playing these games for a number of years, and then started an alliance that did exactly what I would have wanted an alliance to be like if I was a member. As for the lack of competency, I would almost argue it makes for more interesting politics to have incompetent people running things, because they make stupid mistakes which lead to fun outcomes. Competency is learned thru making mistakes.
  11. You want to know why I was allies with Guardian for years? Because they know what they are doing. If they tell you something is probably a bad idea, you should listen to them.
  12. just do what we do in grumpy, yell at anyone that deposits random numbers into the bank, so that way your bank numbers are always nice round numbers that are easy to move back and forth if needed.
  13. To me? nothing besides leaching off our color bonus. It really shows an alliance's character to see how they treat others when they have them at their mercy. I just noticed the CTO is using VE as its bank, I take it all back, feel free to increase the terms.
  14. You can always tell when an alliance wins its first war by itself, because it thinks pulling shit like this is doable. Aurora did the same thing a few months ago. You would think an alliance as old as HS would know better than this, but I guess not.
  15. I recommend implementing the Grumpy Ban Hammer rule, if any post gets around 10 hammer emoji's the person that made the post gets permanently banned. You want to be annoying or inappropriate? Do it somewhere else.
  16. Does this mean i dont have to carry that weight anymore? It was starting to get heavy.
  17. People get charged taxes? that sounds horrible.
  18. Didn't we just have a bunch of small wars? Hell, global radiation is currently at 40 percent and as far as I know all the big boys are at peace. You guys are killing me with these kinds of posts. If you dont like it, be the agent for change, dont come on here and complain about it hoping someone else is going to make the game more fun for you. Get some friends together, create an alliance and go cause some trouble.
  19. See my post above, this is also incorrect, take off the rose colored glasses bud, maybe you think so because you are currently at 5 cities and you only interact with little crap nations, but the level of play in game within the major spheres is at or very close to the highest it has ever been. And it is still a community with alliances that have an identity and are proud of it, see my alliance for a quick and easy reminder, or the one you are currently in.
  20. That is you looking back with rose colored glasses. Early game PnW was not that bad, and the forums during IQ may have seemed active but that is because it lasted 8-9 months, and you just remember some of the more popular threads. I believe the issue you run into today, is people spend less time on the forums and more time in all these discord news channels.
  21. I would have an issue with this... If people find they cant "keep up" that is on them, find a new alliance, and find ways to be better.
  22. What? I am for your proposed change besides for the last paragraph which is me busting your balls. Also nice to see Anarchy is taking up the slack for making super annoying posts. Some of the old super annoying people have really fallen off.
  23. Damn so if i am reading that correctly for 60 days as a brand new nation, if all you did was log in every day you would make 468 million dollars? you can get to c15 and have 40 million left over just from sign in bonus. That is fine by me, the toughest thing to get over in this game is how slow it is, so if you can get people to keep logging in over longer periods of time the better it is for the health of the game. just out of curiosity did you guys do the math on what a C12-C15 nation makes? because after that 60 days is over that income drop is probably going to hurt, or is that why you have the credit thing so you can get em hooked on that sweet sweet income, and then make em pay to feel that high again? Diabolical boys.
