  1. H It's the disappearance of an alliance, in a game, one which frankly didn't have the greatest track record of treating people with any notable degrees of respect itself, certainly not in recent memory. I must ask what surprises you. Respect is to be earned and not given. If you think not dying as easily as other people when fighting the hive mind demon hordes under Lord Lucifer Roquentin's strings is the only criteria, you'll be sad to learn criteria shift from person to person. From my point of view, all i know is what i have said so far, i see no reason to go out of my way to pay respect to that. You'll also be sad to learn that at least some of them are joking and that you need a thicker skin to handle what something we paper could withstand.
  2. You tell others they're grasping at straws and then fail to be capable of conducting grade school math level addition and pattern recognition that leads everyone you claim to be grasping at straws that your side has lost 100 members. I'll have to check for it, someone somewhere on the OWF did BK's share of the math for you. What with all the mergers, BK should have had, what, 230? 240ish? Yet you're in the 160s. Even accounting for inactives in CS and Zodiac who didn't move over, or didn't want to, even a generous estimate still says you're missing 40 that you should have. Which accounts for, of course, around 40% of the lost nations, and this assuming a generous conservative estimate. If we go with what you should have versus reality, the disparity means BK makes up over 70% of lost nations. Though i don't think that's fair given inactives and detractors in mergers exist, it still means your alliance in particular is responsible for a significant portion of the missing nations. Sadly i didn't pay as close attention to many other alliances save NPO, who bounced around too but nowhere near as much. TGH dropped for a while but is now back at the 41 i believe it started with. UPN started at 41 and ended at 29. I'm sure someone could use the stat tracker, in this instance, to check each day and get a good idea of which alliance lost how much in this equation, but you are the majority of it without question, and so i find this laughable attempt at deflection to be pathetic, when it'd be better for you and your alliance to simply admit the failure and then move to correct it.
  3. Read again. There are 2 resource measurements, one says loot, that's the first one from the left. The second says lost. Under the second, NPO shows 530,453.
  4. Meanwhile in the rest of world, nukes are free to attack with unlike conventional methods, but cost money and resources to build, just like conventional weapons. Seems fair to me. I also believe the part about 'Resources lost' includes used in attacks, as i somehow have trouble believing NPO lost 500k munitions solely to looting. Last point, the poster of this thread is in The Fighting Pacifists. Now, your memory may be off from the concussion TKR gave you, but TFP was infact fighting IQ and not nuke bloc, so we're quite curious how the stats for nuke bloc are skewed in his favor when he was uninvoled, as that doesn't make much sense.
  5. ... You do realize what you said about if non-IQ were dominating applies to your statement at the end of your post where you claim IQ was dominating and the enemy ran? If so, why did IQ let there be white peace? If so, why did IQ lose dozens of nations to deletion? If so, why was IQ still well behind on making up for the damage it'd actually taken? The reason for white peace is because, to be quite honest, probably neither side would have survived a 3 month war like this.
  6. Give me proper training and experience, then give me a leadership role in a notable alliance, and i will gladly show you a world in which fire rains from the sky on all for whom i wish it, when i wish it. Sadly, you'll note, i am not yet trained, experienced, nor leading anything, and am thus unable to actually do much about it, other than point out that this attitude taken up reeks of "Well we had no choice unless someone else came in" when the reality you stands you always had the choice. It was yours to accept this, nobody forced it on to you.
  7. I think i shall speak for all of Ad Mech here, because if they don't agree, then i don't care about their opinion as it is bad. Your bravery is applauded, ODN. Though your death is certain, you face it without fear, and what you shall lose in pixels, you shall gain in glorious PR.
  8. That sounds less like NB entered the war and more like they were just raiding, frankly.
  9. Since i'm assuming TKR, TCW, Guardian, etc did not hold a gun to your heads to make you say "Yes, 6 months NAP for most of the game is very good.", the answer to your question is once again very evident indeed. You of course must remember, for the next 6 months, most of the game is treaty bound from touching each other. That's the fault of yourselves for agreeing to it. The only real war that could happen now involves somebody putting on their man-pants and deciding TKR needs to be a number other than 1.
  10. Considering the 9 months prior of peace even despite not having a NAP for 2/3 of it, i would say it is fairly evident that the answer to your question is "Yes, yes it is."
  11. You're essentially asking TKR to roll you here. Seeing as how most of the game just signed a 6 month NAP. This ignoring that what you said wasn't a valid counterpoint to the issued to begin with.
  12. The changing of value of a couple of resources is not enough to explain how the IQ side as reported by Leo has taken over 20 billion less in damages than reported elsewhere. It simply isn't, to think otherwise is nonsense.
  13. People who resort to nit picking grammar and flaming as a response to an argument, are people who have long ago lost that argument. I do not pretend to have perfect writing, i type rather quickly, and have a horrid habit of not checking what i've put. Regardless, your concession to my superior reasoning through pedestrian insults is accepted, you may pay tribute now. I suppose in the future you will understand if i don't check for perfect grammar, not for the plebeian form i see on display here. For any further insults wasting the time of myself and others, please simply direct these to the inbox of the nearest moderator. It's much faster that way.
  14. A lot of phoenix says has the brainpower equivalent to a concussed chimpanzee put behind it, so i'm not precisely sure why you're citing it anyway. This of course ignoring that he is simply wrong on all fronts anyway, and clearly lacks the experience of how significant wars go down compared to the people he wishes to claim are lacking in judgement. The murderer is on your side of town, and i daresay, he is on a rampage indeed.
  15. You know, you say that, and yet, logic shows us that the stats here conflict utterly with stats elsewhere. Not just on the wiki, but even Frawley's own, and he himself of course being a member of NPO is subject to the same consideration of potential bias. The difference is, the source in this thread deviates by an extreme margin from the corroborated story of other sources, who places thing in a range that lie far above what the numbers presented here would suggest. Using the logic you decry is missing, and lies slain by people in this thread we can see, well. You are right, it is slain. The murderer however, lies on your side of town, i'm afraid.
  16. I suppose folks like Moonshadow have a quota of one to each side. Non IQ has Moon Shadow original, and IQ has Pheonix, Moon Shadow lite. You will note that while the original bases their salt off of conspiracy theories, the lite version flourishes on flaming people with their salt, and being utterly incapable of properly comprehending the written english language. Frankly, both of you ought be hit with a gag order, you're making your respective alliances look bad.
  17. This game is very accurate to real life, because as we all know, nuclear detonations and the fallout from them stop having negative effects on the are after 8 days. It's so obvious!
  18. That's interesting, given that several of the wiki mods who police the wiki specifically to eradicate bias happen to be in IQ alliances, and even fighting in this war. I've heard of low self esteem before, but taking down 600 people for the ride just cause you don't like yourself sounds a bit extreme, and somehow i don't think that's the case. I find it far more probable that, given the only stats provided thus far have been from involved parties in the war, that these involved parties are inevitably, and even unintentionally, adding in their own bias. The only for this not to be true is if you think you are perfect, and if you think that, you clearly suffer delusions which require the aid of a mental health professional as soon as you are able to see one. Infact given new points made by others, it seems a general incompetent error is more likely. Typically adding bias to make yourself good doesn't work when you fudge your own side.
  19. In a weird way, it really is. Though it should be stressed, that is only because compared to other available sources, it is the least biased. As i stated, if someone not involved in the conflict with the required skillset to compile these numbers were to do so, the results would be readily more acceptable and with less paranoia applies to them.
  20. Jeez, i understand and agree that the thread and its contents ought not be taken as truth, but there really is no need to go and insult people over it. Bias is to be expected, if you can account for it while analyzing multiple sources you will be fine.
  21. Actually, it would be preferable if it were made by someone not involved in the war at all. Especially as, the only source i can even somewhat reasonably sure is an unbiased source i can think of, which is only so due to it being managed by people from all sides, a week ago clocked IQ in at 134 billion in damage and non IQ at just under 84 billion. That's the good old fashioned wiki page. Say what you will about it, but a disparity that large means somebody screwed up, and the threat of bias is far greater with you than it is with a team of people from relatively diverse positions in the current situation. Ultimately the problem with people unbiased doing it is that uninvolved parties are just happy to see you killing each other and don't care much who wins. I'm sure one of them will be nice enough to compile all the numbers afterwards.
  22. Honestly this sounds fine. Maybe at most, just have consecutive beiges reset the timer to 2.1 days, if say the second beige comes in 3 turns later. I don't think it's really necessary, especially since it could be abused pretty easily, but its a compromise.
  23. It's worth noting, House Tyrell's head of FA i believe it was, also attacked a member of Ad mech for a raid. Dio and Senry got him to back off, though, i feel that had something to do with the real possibility of TKR casually slapping them into the next galaxy if they didn't. This seems like it will be a frequent occurrence for them, at this rate/
  24. Problems with this idea are many. First of all, this just isn't how nukes work even in reality. The kind of nuclear weapon you'd fire in the scenarios being mentioned would be tactical warheads - likely on cruise missiles. It'd also only be of any real use against land targets. That is, soldiers and tanks. If you fire at grounded aircraft, the missile launch will be detected and the aircraft can easily be scrambled, and may even be able to shoot the missile down, since they'd be able to do so from a safe distance. If you shot it at ships, they'd... do the same thing, really. Even if you landed a hit, it'd do one of two things, depending on detonation. Impact detonation would destroy the ship it hits, and spook everybody else. Yes, that's really it, even if you fired a full size warhead measuring in the hundreds of kilotons, you'd destroy one ship. A nuclear weapons primary destructive power, like most bombs, is all about the pressure and shock waves. Shrapnel too, but, when your shrapnel gets vaporize instantly, forget it. Ships, of course, happen to be very resilient to handling shock-waves, and given again that they would have early warning and could get all hands inside the ship, you wouldn't even get 1 kill + incapacitations. You would get the 1 kill, and since anything not an aircraft carrier can operate at nearly full functionality without the crew ever going on the deck, you wouldn't necessarily even given thousands of sailors cancer either. Really, it's quite a hilarious waste. Shooting it at airborne planes is obviously nonsensical, shouldn't have to be explained. This leaves you with firing nukes at a land army. Now assuming that the air force is dead or not being mean and intercepting your tactical warhead, or that you for some reason fired a full scale ICBM, well with real life tactics it'd be pointless, but in game not so much. In reality, you'd open a giant hole in enemy lines that no one can use safely because radiation. In game, you'd kill thousands of enemies, and frankly probably your own men as the only way you'd likely get them standing any still for you to ensure a hit is when they're engaged. So ultimately, no, nukes are surprisingly realistic right now. Not completely, but surprisingly. Both are realistically great at deleting huge swathes of massive cities, both are frankly pretty useless if used in the context of an actual battlefield, both are quite expensive to build and both were only ever meant for vengeance weapon purposes. Sure, starvation should do more negatives in this game, alot more, but all things considered, nukes are as close as this game has probably gotten to realism. Not to mention, of course, that these changes would make nukes, frankly more OP than planes. As, if things worked as you'd wanted, considering the damage of a nuke, and pretending that despite having 35 air bases only 5 are actually used, you could just eliminate half, or even only 1/3 of someone's air force while taking... possibly no damage, depending on the situation? And the only thing that can destroy nukes are spies, which is limited to 3 per day? Oh, and while you can essentially spawn kill planes, you can't do that to nukes. You claim this method would require more skill. What a patently false statement. If such an update occurred, alliances which are considered competent at warfare today would still be considered so. All that is required for this is coordination, which is how competent alliances right now happen to succeed. Thus my solution to you, and to whom this change would benefit most, get better coordination. For Nuke Bloc specifically, stop hiding in the corner. Come out and say hello, and not antagonize everybody immediately after! Try recruiting more members, maybe not being outnumbered 5 : 1 would help, who knows? Try and make some new friends too, i know that one isn't very easy, but if you try there's a 0.000001% chance of success. That is infinitely superior to not trying, which has a 0% chance of success. Edit: as i forgot to mention, the second detonation method for a nuke is airburst. This capitalizes on the nukes destructive power being to blow everything away like the big bad wolf, by detonating it a few thousand feet or more in the sky. This is useless against ships, and seems useful against planes, if only planes weren't capable of erratic maneuvers at several times the speed of sound, meaning the missile would hit where the planes were 20 minutes ago, which is quite unhelpful when they were travelling at 1,400 miles per hour, as they will be quite some distance away.
  25. Meanwhile, over here in reality, the reason people won't sign IQ-alliances is because of the Supremacy Clause. The clause more or less states that by not being an IQ alliance, you are lesser to them as a friend, and will, whether they want to or not, be placed on the back burner. Is.... it really a surprise that not many try to sign treaties with them? They don't want to be discounted by IQ's Supremacy Clause, and the IQ alliances don't want to leave IQ because they still believe EMC actually exists, and it looks like Nuke bloc does too, because while in reality (where IQ's SP is why they dont get signed by others) all that happened is alliances who happened to at one time be bloc-mates, had a similar goal and decided to work together. Or maybe there was just a sale on tinfoil hats and nobody told me, and that's where all this paperless conspiracy nonsense comes from. Frankly, i'm offended you all just let me miss out on such a great deal.
