  1. "Tragedies are felt by all, but the reality of the tragedy doesn't give us the ability to act. In order to do so, we as a clan must be streagnthened. Thus, if you would like our assistance, the clan would ask for 2.3 billion and the blessing to detained a portion of the loyality population, and move them to settlements being established within Holland. They will be carefully watched and barred from travel. Additionally, we would ask for 10% of the funds available from the start." She informed the Envoy, keeping the unflinching radiant smile.
  2. Within the office of Sydney, home of the Nyugen, an envoy of the PLA sat with a cup of tea and a plate of cookies. After nearly 40 minutes of waiting, the envoy was ushered into a meeting room, where a young woman stood, no older than 25. "Hello, I am Savannah Nyugen, daughter of Edward Nyugen. Unfortunately he is away on political matters attending a council meeting, so I have been tasked with negotiating with you. How may we be of service to the Mandarin People?" She inquired formally, a pleasing smile radiating warmth towards the envoy.
  3. Holland, or commonly referred to as Aulstrailia, was initially a penal colony for the British Empire. Those who were arrested for practicing foreign religions, heretical speach, or otherwise minor crimes, were sent to the new lands to live and serve the British Empire. After the fall of the British Empire 120 years ago, the British no longer had the forces to maintain a presence within the colonies. Due to a lack of farmland to support the growing population, as well as historically barbaric roots, an emphasis by the Master Clans on naval build up led to raiding of nearby nation's to aquire food and much needed resources. For 40 years constant fighting took place between the clans who had taken up residence on the continent. Eventually, the major figures behind these clans came together to unify, and seek an end to the bloody conflicts. As a result, a culture focused on the possession of ships was born. Those who live on neighboring islands fear the nation, not necessarily for their streagnth, but their ferocity and savagry. The master clans raid the neighboring nation's consistently to procure resources to feed their people, as well as build their clans further. Each clan is in charge of building and maintaining their own infrastructure. Laws themselves are establish by the council, and fighting amongst clans is forbidden. This has no stopped clan rivalries from escalating, but outright confrontation has yet to occur. Though the clans cannot conduct a war without the approval of the council, pillaging is permitted and has been used as justification for mercenary work with other nation's.

  6. The Confederation of Holland is a sea-faring nation, and emphasizes the social importance of owning a vessel. Additionally, the larger the vessel, the more socially elevated the individual is. Within the nation are 8 major clans: Nguyen, Gray, Graham, White, Carson, Typhon, Graphus, and Inden. The nation is lead by the 8 major clans, which the majority of the ships belong to and shipmaster's pledge to. The council of Elders for the 8 major clans vote and decide on all matters pertaining to the nation. Council Members: Edward Nguyen, Alexander Graham, Arissa Gray, Toby White, Harold Carson, Charles Typhon, Peter Graphus, and Betty Inden. Certain lesser clans who have pledged themselves to major clans, and proven their loyalty, are assigned provinces. They govern these provinces as instructed by the major clans they are pledged to.
  7. How is stagnation the fault of people who voted for change? If the RP stagnates at this point, which I strongly believe it will, then it will be the fault of those who tried to keep it the same. I would love to hear the logic behind how it would somehow be our fault for I guess wanting to alter the inevitable path the RP will follow, but your post reaks of the 'Nou' variety. If you read my assertions, it said it would happen in 5-6 months, not immeadietly. So once again, you are trying to make a point and are falling flat. And saying discussion is a waste of time when voting is a very poor way of handling a situation. If you are not open to discussion on things, are set in your ways and determined to retain your stance on everything, then your life will be quite boring. I encourage you to open your mind and listen to others rather then pompously cling to your own ideas religiously. You'll find life more enjoyable.
  8. I believe that things like canals should be permitted; but incorporating geographical changes from the getgo is likely to complicate things exponentially.
  9. .:Classified:. The Imperium fleet would work in conjunction with the System Alliance, utilizing the new battleship to initiate aggressions. The Battleship would fire it's S-8 MAC guns towards the Turians capital vessels, while the Deliverance class stealth cruiser would cloak and leave the docking bay of the battleship. Their orders were to cause chaos amonst the Turians fleets by attacking the Turian Dreadnaughts, while Imperium vessels fired from afar. For now, basic fighter and ballistic Defense Satelites would be deployed, though not activated. Additionally, blanket comms jamming would begin, with only the UNSC-Approved frequency free of said jamming. The submarine-style stealth cruiser combined with the comms jamming would ensure maximum instability amongst the Turian fleets. The fortunate side affect would be to prevent the Turians from calling reinforcements. A message would play over the comms, cycling through every known language. The message stated: "You have been recognized as an enemy of the UNSC. You will cease all aggression, retreat from the planet, and agree to terms set before you. Refuse this, and we ensure this war will cost you greatly."
  10. .:Classified:. Directorate 932 Two Modernized fleets from Reach and 1 modernized fleet from Luna will be redeployed to the colony world of Shanxi. With it, the new Spyre-Class battleship will escort the Luna carrier group. Forces are ordered to reandevoux with UNSC fleets and retake the colony. Ensuring the survival of the citizens is Paramount, killing all alien Invaders is secondary priority.
  11. .:Classified:. On the Research facility on Tribute, deep beneath the earth. "ma'am, we've begun the final phase of the stasis prototype. It's had resounding success in stabilizing patients for transport. We've begun talks with the Cerberus corporation to begin production of them, and integrate them into all military facilities. So far, discussion says it will cost 1.4 billion dollars, so it will have to be approved by the Imperator. As for integration into the defense Satelites, it will work, to a degree. For now though, we can't even halt traditional MAC rounds. Further development will be neccessary." The young woman informed her superior. "Excellent. Continue the development and keep me informed. Soon Project Redoubt will be completed, and we'll enter a new era of Imperium Military Superiority. For the Imperator." She said before ending the holovid. "For the Imperator." Came the young woman's habitual response.
  12. Experiences vary, and I spoke from my experience in this very natrp that consent inevitably causes stagnation. You can continue to try and talk as if you are the only use one who has RPd in the entirety of this RP, or you can show respect to the arguements that oppose you and actually discussed it. All you did in that post is say the other side was wrong rather than try to work with that side on a resolution. Even if you actually believe it's a flawless rule, you should still be open to discussing it rather than just tossing up insults and trying to shutdown any discussion. Maybe that's just me.
  13. .:Classified:. "Ma'am, I'm pleased you chose me as the successor for the African division. To prove my worth, within the past 24 hours we've utilized our Monopoly over the telecommunications in the region to identify the HoF safe zones. We've discovered a command center and 4 weapons caches. Marines are.kobikizing to take them out before they can mobilize and flee." The young man in the white suit explained to the ONI Director. "Good, now succeed where your predecessor failed. They killed Imperium soldiers and now the will suffer the consequences." She told him, as she ended the holovid. "Al Jabbar, sir, we need you to evacuate now. Resorian soldiers have warded off the area surrounding us and pelocans are incoming. We've also had reports that the northern weapon caches were bombed by the Imperium B-65 Shortswords." A rather average looking man explained rapidly. "Enough, go warn Khayr through the comms that his position is likely compromised. He was moving to launch an attack on France, and we need to recall him now." Jabbar said as he grabbed his weapon and made for the door.
  14. .:Broadcast:. "This just in; a terrorist organization known as the Horn of Freedom has detonated an explosive that killed 63 Imperium Marines and 24 civilian contractors along with wounding a total of 142. The exact specifics behind the attack has not been released, but the Imperator has promised a full retaliatory stroke on known HoF positions." .:Classified:. "How are the men progressing through the tunnels?" Khayr inquired to his 2nd in command. "Well. The final team is laying their bomb and the men are retreating from the tunnels. Though we've gotten word that Imperium Marines have begun moving into the tunnels with them." Jabbar explained. "Then when the last bomb is placed, detonate them. We can't risk them evacuating the area." Khayr ordered. "We'll lose 19 of our men, sir?" Was Jabbars response. "Then they will die knowing they killed 10x that number in Imperium dogs." "Sir, our reports show they entered the tunnels with a large quantity of fertilizer bombs. We weren't aware of what they were prior to the detonation, but we did believe they we're using it as a storage Depot for their munitions. Clearly we were... Wrong." The Division director explained to his Section Director. As he finished, Cait Mendez appeared on the screen with him. "You were tasked with locating and identifying their assets. You have provided me with out dated intelligence that we can't act on. By the time you find out anything, they have already moved on. You have displayed incompetence that this organization will not tolerate. From this point forward, you are no longer a director, and you have too much information to be allowed to oibe a civilian life. You will be detained and your brain will be donated to the AI research facility on Tribute." Cait declared before a team of Spartans grabbed the man and put him in handcuffs. Afterwards, he was sedated and moved to a transport vessel.
  15. As the Ottomans trickled out of Sri Lanka, the Imperium would love it's forces onto the island. The previous Ottoman AA guns would be replaced with Plasma Turrets, and supplemented with a number of automated 110mm Auto cannons. An additional False reef would be planned for construction out of steel and would have a shield covering the reef. Additionally, 4,500 Imperium troops would be deployed on the island to act as a police force. All of the Islands communications would be sent through a centralized network, which was under constant monitoring by Imperium Intelligence assets. Several facilities would be constructed by Imperium assets to improve criminal deterance, standards of living, and traffic flow. The island itself would notice a shift from it's former economy to becoming the Imperium Medical Center on Earth. All citizens who were not doctors or nurses would find themselves being paid a subsidy to leave the island and resettle in the mainland of Resoria. The island would see a drop in 46% over the next year of it's population as the people resettled.
  16. Moving 4 landlocked Homeland tiles to take the Sri Lankan territory owned by Rimski.
  17. The Imperium would issue a statement on the sporadic Salazaristans actions of late. "We will encourage that all Salazaristans vessels be denied at the canals that our forces are in possession of. Should they refuse to be diverted, then the crew can be detained until the rogue state comes to it's senses. Additionally, it would ensure no vessel could reach the Ottoman coastline. In order to avoid these Terrorists from leaving the nation, the Imperium will initiate a total lockdown if the nation. The first Sol Defense Fleet orbiting the planet will begin orbiting the nation, and have orders to ground all flights leaving or entering the nation." The Imperator announced to the world via the broadcast. .:Classified:. "Sir, we've hired a series of mercenary groups to halt, loot and tun back any and all refugees leaving the nation. Furthermore, our MACs are trained upon their capital, and will fired when ordered." A young officer reported to the elder admiral. "Alright men, see to it that we do what needs to be done. For the UNSC!" He called over the comms.
  18. .:Classified:. Nearly an hour would tick by, as the Spartans held the alleyway awaiting a potential incursion. Alas, not a single fighter appeared to attack then, and after nearly 2 hours of waiting, the Spartans comms lit up. "You are clear Spartans. The threat has been nuetralized. The men in question retreated shortly after attacking the capital building, and we're chased down and summarily executed. Local forces have been ordered to round up and arrest all potential suspects. We'll get to the bottom of this, but your priority is the Magister." The Red Team Intel operator chimed in over the channel. "Understood, moving the asset to a secure location. Any word on additional deployments?" Red Team leader inquired towards the operator. "ONI is going to begin asset development while the 2nd Regiment of the Army will be deployed, consisting of 2,200 Sentinels and 1,000 Marines." The operator informed them, a grave tone forming. "I see, so they're serious about dealing with this terrorist group..." Red Team leader began. "Sir, the operation was a success. Forces infiltrated the capital building and received the service tunnels for the sewage system that lies beneath the Imperium Army base to the north. If we lay the explosives right, we're looking at hundreds of dead and wounded in a single strike." Al Jabbar informed his leader in an excited tone. "Patience. Even if that plan succeeds, it will not force them out of the area. It will weaken them, and force them to apply more forces prior to gaining Intel. That recklessness is what we need to build the casualties. We know they're sending in an entire regiment; which makes it 3,200 more men who will begin hunting us like animals." The man told his secular cabinet. "But Al Khayr, you say that as if you were happy, but doesn't it make our job harder?" Al Jabbar asked the man, clearly puzzled. "Aye, my friend, but we know their information on us is limited. So throwing these men in before identifying us or our people means it's a show of force. We will gain more of the people to aide us while making it easier to know where they are. It makes it harder and easier." Al Khayr reasoned to the man. "So you're telling me we have no information on this network, and we can't identify their goal, is that right?" Cait Mendz aggravatingly asked the Division Head of Africa. "I'm afraid so, ma'am... It's hard to establish assets out here since they don't like us. We provide bribes, but that doesn't get us reliable Intel most of the time..." The man before her stuttered back in response. "Capture the fighters alive, and download their memories into the ONI servers. When you do that, we'll have reliable Intel. Threaten families, bomb villages, do whatever you must to crush this rebellion. We can't afford to waste precious resources on some insurrectionists. We are also going to begin a project that will secure the passage, so you will get it done or I'll have you demoted down to a standard operative, and I'll find someone who can get it done." She hissed at the man before ending the call. "I swear, the incompetence shown by one of our own is staggering. We need that shield built to secure the channel. In the event of a conflict, we can seal it up with the shield. With the generator several miles underground and the building on top of it fortified with anti- air, it will be the perfect staging ground to halt trade and eliminate the enemy in a kill box." She vented towards her Deputy Director. "It will, indeed, be a powerful asset against other powers on this world, should we need it. However, we must ensure that the threats are nuetralized before we invest in this venture. Plus, we have the Shipyard planets and new colonies to worry about." The man tried reasoning with the matriarch. " I'm aware. We must bide our time."
  19. .: Classified:. "This is Spartan Red Team, target is Scure. We are moving to the capital building now." The towering man chimed over the comms channel. "Really, I don't think this is necessary. The people are discontent, but I'm an Imperium Magister. They wouldn't dare attack me." The man in the fine clothing pompously told the behemoths standing before him. "Reports say the Horn of Freedom is plotting to attack a number of Imperium assets in the area. It's a risk we can't take. Company is moving out." The Spartan leader said as his 3 men and 12 Sentinels moved towards the warthogs, and head towards the capital building. Shortly thereafter, a series of explosions could be heard ringing around the city. "Enter the ally and put the Magister in the back, warthogs in front to provide cover. Sentinels, get on those mounted guns. Spartans, with me. We hold the front." The leader said as they swung into an alley still going nearly 20 mph. The alley was large enough to fit two warthogs side by side. Within minutes, they had established their position, and Imperium Longswords could be seen flying around overhead. "Secure your target Spartans. Reports indicate 50 armed men are assaulting the city, half of them are attacking the capital building now. We should be able to end this little rebellion shortly." The Regional officer barked over his radio before ending his transmission. "Sir, the Imperium forces have air superiority. Our only hope is guerrilla style attacks. I suggest we keep our caches and men out of unnecessary conflicts." A rather average looking man advised. "Aye. We have nearly 1,400 fighters and the weapons and munitions to make this jihad last year's. We take it slow.; Continue to recruit and constantly harass their assets. As they build defenses, we bomb them. Make the occupation far too costly. Good work Jabbar." The man replied, staring at the holotable.
  20. As far as I recall, time passes the same way it does in the primary game. That was the official rule in NatRP when I asked long ago, and it's the rule I've stuck with. 1 ooc day = 12 ic days. 1 ooc month is 1 ic year. So on and so forth.
  21. .: Classified:. Inside the Capital building, the annual debate rages on. "We should be moving more of the budget to civil services and development of new colonies, not focusing it on buidling even more military in a world at peace." The Economic minister insisted. "The world may be at peace, but there are threats all around us in space. From the Hutts to the Covenant. And even the threat of these citadel races threaten us. We need more spending on our military, and we need a more aggressive approach in dealing with these abominations. Conceding anything with them will weaken us." Harold Johnson insisted. "Respectfully, we are reaching the limits of our martial capabilities. While I think we need to booster our ship production capabilities, and defensive structures, we need to refrain from building up any more equipment before we bankrupt ourselves and our economy. With every war we lose resource production. If we spend more funds on production, I move to build 3 more orbital platforms and begin teraforming another 8 colonies accross two systems. We need to increase our agricultural production by half if we're to support these new colonies, and our suggestions would be here." Can't Mendez, Director of ONI. Hellespoint System: Eiro New Persia Jericho IV(Shipyard planet) Ectanus System: New Paris Laika Hydra Draco II Ordo(Moon of Hydra) "I agree with Mrs Mendez. Begin the projects as described. We will divert the funds from the Naval and Army budget. Then I want 3.2 billion reallocated to civil services and focusing on agricultural development. That ends this debate. The terraforming will take a year, and we will rediscuss from there. Ship production will be halted to preserve the budget, we can divert the shipyards on Reach to UNSC members." Alexander Spyre decreed, before rising and walking towards the door, marking the end of the discussion.
  22. Maelstrom, what you're talking about happens on organic already, collaboration is nice, but at the end of the day, the defender dictates the losses, not the aggressor. If a problem arises, the mod can be asked to arbitrate. Consent has people hiding in their bubble doing their own thing. Doing your own thing is fine, and interaction does happen in natrp. But the reality that we have seen is that when conflict is not a viable possibility, the RP dies. That was proved with the last iteration of the RP. Call the perspective immature if you want, but it is the reality. When you all get bored in 5-6 months, this RP is going to die again. I think the consent rule is half the problem. Regardless, these corcular arguements are toring and I'm done restating my thoughts to those not interested in hearing them. Stay frosty.
  23. This system is workong for now, until you all get bored at it again and leave as the last group did. Why? Because you cannot have conflict or real drama while everyone is in their own bubble. You day the current system is fine and that were asking to repeal it without a solution? The consent rule does not exist in organic and the rule always was: the defender decides the outcome within reason. If it's unreasonable, bring it to the mod. I understand that you seem to think not interacting with people in the RP is the way to go, but the reality is that for now it's okay, but people /Will/ get bored, and it will die again just the same. Even having said that, I don't recognize this vote. And not because I'm losing, since I recognized the last one in spite of the loss. I don't recognize it because there isn't 24 people in this community to vote like this, and somehow there are 24 unique votes. One or both sides have been dishonest in the voting.
  24. .: Classified:. As tensions die down on Earth, Imperium assets would begin bribing, blackmailing and assassinating local officials in key areas. The first of the list would focus on encricling the historical Imperium lands, while resources would be diverted to securing the Persian gulf. The trade route was pivital with the UNSC nations trade routes, and eliminate excess time taversing the African continent. "Yes, the provinces south of us yielded when we set a division outside their borders. We claimed we had Intel of insurgents working out of the area. After that, they sceded to becoming an Imperium Province. The Gulf states, however, are more reluctant. I would suggest assassinating their government officials and bombing the capital building. It should make them surrender." The Division director for African Affairs reported to the Section Director. "Very good. Do what needs to be done, so we can reinforce the province as soon as possible." The Section Director told him before ending the call.
