  1. No idea what your goal is. For another alliance to not make $1B while you sustain 3 times that in damages? And for how long? Forever? You clearly have no idea what this is about.
  2. That's great news! So, what's your goal behind this war? What are your victory requirements?
  3. I know right? It's like playing games for fun. Weird. You should instead follow orders without questions and not even know what the goal behind the said orders is. This sounds fun. Kinda like the real life though.
  4. Do tell me how you are any different from any other anti-piracy campaigns that we've seen the past 5 years: https://politicsandwar.fandom.com/wiki/Arrgh#Notable_Conflicts So, the regular membership has no idea what they are fighting for. That's nice. We can debate all we want now, but we will only know who was right when the conflict is over. And there are only two scenarios for the end of this conflict: 1. Your bloc will unilaterally declare white peace and that you achieved your goals. We will not accept that and will keep hitting you for a while, but eventually will get bored and go back to regular raiding. 2. You will surrender and we will ask for money for pirate insurance.
  5. A real pirate wouldn't be able to build new projects, like Pirate Economy.
  6. Can you also give us a timezone? I have to set our doomsday clock. By the way, you should just use Donkey's wife, instead of a flamethrower.
  7. There is no "winning" or "losing" in such wars for Arrgh. We don't care about the wars to begin with. Wars and politics of regular alliances are not the same for Arrgh. In Arrgh, the player or the alliance "wins" when we achieve our goals. Our goals are doing whatever we want, having fun and stealing money and burning things. We could as well ignore all the wars from Swamp and pretend they are the regular counters we get anyway due to our raids. But causing some extra harm on doomed anti-piracy campaigns is more fun. Long story short, we are not here for Orbis domination, so we don't care about making blocs and blobs or destroying "enemies". We are not here to play farmville either, so we don't care about war losses. You could say every day is a win for a pirate if they do pirate things. How convenient, right? --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Now, speaking about goals, I would love to hear the goals of Swamp behind this war. Because, if the goal is to end piracy, I will be laughing in pirate for a while.
  8. 1. Ignore the "counters" or wars declared on you. 2. Manage your double-buys and declare wars as usual on raidable targets. 3. Win with ground/naval attacks against inactive or incapable people. 4. Get money. 5. Lose some money from beiges. 6. Declare the next wars. I don't see how your wars are any different from standard counters. The right way to raid is with 5 offensive wars and 3 defensive ones. Why does it matter if the defensive slots are filled by a specific alliance or 20 different ones?
  9. My dear friend. We are not mosquitoes. We are cockroaches. And cockroaches don't die. With love, ~ The friendly pirate of your neighborhood
  10. Honestly, I find discussions about changes in mechanics pointless and they kinda kill the fun. I want to play the games, not to "optimize" them or discuss how they should be played. In a game you get some rules and adapt accordingly. Sure, some of them may suck for a specific playstyle. Just don't pick that playstyle then or deal with it. Discussing every 3 months about changes in THE core mechanic of the game (war) is becoming ridiculous. The game is 5 years old already. The best thing we could do is just leave everything as it is. It doesn't matter anyway. No matter the war mechanics, alliances will just use FA to get more power to balance whatever weaknesses may appear.
  11. Wait, the blitz is today? I thought we were hitting t$ on Saturday...
  12. Like... ground attacks? Let's make them give no cash while blockaded too then.
  13. I love it when people need to sign a paper to agree that they may or may not defend/attack with others. It's like when you are getting married but not getting married.
  14. Glad you got a girl! Make her happy.
  15. Ok, let me tell you what really happened...
  16. Or in general. As much as I dislike treaties, I am happy for you two being friends. Have fun.
  17. You successfully gathered intelligence about The Council. Your spies discovered that The Council has 10 spies, $9,130,059.71, 1,026.50 coal, 2,797.35 oil, 2,463.65 uranium, 246.00 lead, 2,875.70 iron, 401.59 bauxite, 7,705.15 gasoline, 694.23 munitions, 58.79 steel, 1,373.34 aluminum, and 526,819.75 food.
  18. Uhm... checks his theme again I can only offer him rum...
  19. April Fools' Day was almost a week ago! Regarding this announcement, the official response from Arrgh is... "We are not sure whether we had too much rum last night or this thread hides some deception". As a general comment, when you read an announcement, it's better to crosscheck whether the in-game activities are in lign with it.
  20. Welcome on board, Captain. Enjoy the game.
