  1. Can't tell if you're saying you like self-centered emotionally driven people or you dislike people who don't expect(not want you to) to have to filter yourself in fear of hurting someones feelings.
  2. Principles are for the self-centered, although it doesn't seem that way if you can't see past the end of your nose.
  3. You have the power to instantly ignore anyone's words, thoughts and opinions instantly on the internet. If that was possible IRL, then we wouldn't need these "standards". Anyone should have the right to message anyone anything. I mean, what's the worst thing they could do? Honestly. No matter what they say, a button that makes sure you never have to read their messages again is seconds away. Anyways, if you're to use the argument "Well this law or rule says this, therefore i'm right" argument, well, let me do the same. In the past slavery, was legal, therefore blacks are unequal and shouldn't vote. DERRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR "By the way, if you think people don't go around calling each other sex offenders in person out of fear of violence, then you are completely missing the point. You must be a truly miserable, detestable, sorry excuse for a human being." ^ Every time you argue with anyone on subject that triggers them. The "If you think that, then you must be [adhominem], [acts like the adhominem disproves my arguments]" Sigh.
  4. Honestly, this is why i love spies. Takes so long for them to be reliably useful, but the potential benefits are outrageous.
  5. There's a difference between "being a dick for no reason" and "not caring about your feelings". Going out of your way not to offend someone is like giving someone a present on Christmas. Being a dick for no reason is throwing a rock through their window. Not care about your feelings is simply not bringing a present. How does NOT doing a positive result in a negative? 0 is not a negative number. "It's not being "emotional" to demand that people treat others with a little respect and dignity." Yes it is. Respect is earned, not asked for. I'm not giving you negative respect, i'm giving you 0. Big difference. "Suggesting that someone is a sex offender, for no reason, goes well beyond what should be considered socially acceptable." Socially acceptable? This is the internet. If you want things to be socially acceptable, this is the wrong place for you. Don't go to McDonalds and order a medium rare steak and then get mad about not getting what you ordered. "I swear, it's like some of the folks in this game have no idea how to interact with other human beings." Actually, i do. (and so do most people here, believe it or not) But interacting with real people is in real life is far different than on the internet. If i piss you off, you can hit me. Emotions actually matter there. Who cares how right you are if you're swallowing your own teeth and blood. Here, you can say what's right, not what people like.
  6. It's all fine and dandy until someone uses the argument of "that's offensive, being offensive is bad, bad is bad, you're bad, you're wrong" argument.
  7. The sad thing is people are raised to be emotional shitbags, and when you try to fix them, you can't because their emotions cloud their judgement. They've hit rock bottom of in the area of emotions, and it's made out of super glue.
  8. Uuuuuuuuuugh, i don't like something on the internet, better call it something serious like "harassment" or "abuse" to get attention. Don't know what's worse, sex offenders or self-centered emotional idiots. They probably do the same amount of damage to the world.
  9. Spies are like child workers. Unless you have at least 50 of them, they're useless.
  10. Well, i mean, both. If you're in an alliance with a really high taxation rate, once you're in a war, ships will blockade you and then you will be screwed. (happened to many NPO members with their 100% taxation rate) But with growth rates... paying taxes and never receiving anything back? Hurts your numbers and your moral, making you less loyal and less apt to care for the alliance. One must find a balance with taxes. One can only move as fast as their legs.
  11. Well, if you don't distribute the money, you cause damage.
  12. Raising tax rates is like using a bigger hammer thinking you'll hit harder. A tiny hammer is almost as useful as no hammer, and a ginormous one is only useful if you can lift it. High taxes are only as powerful as the distribution method of the alliance.
  13. I read this as cow tables the first 4 times.
  14. Or a nice page with the 10 (customizable )cheapest offers for every resources (in nice neat columns, containing the average price of the resource right now that you can click on to show the history of just that resource's average price), with a half transparent window popping up for making your offer. Now that, would be nice.
  15. Make your own damn " unbiased " stats then.
  16. Well, as a nooby voter, i have no idea what anything is, so i was like "BK STRONK" and voted for BK.
  17. Yeah Alex, it's not spies it's "bloody wankers".
  18. All deez numbers... and i still can't count on you. (badum tssss)
