  1. As the title says. We can upload images directly for the Alliance Description, but the Alliance Header remains just a textbox. Given most alliances have images there anyway, this seems like a common sense move. I'm sure I'm not the only one who has noticed images based on Discord URLs have been failing. Many Imgur URLs also don't work (I heard somewhere that P&W was blacklisted from Imgur because we overused it, though I could be completely wrong). Instead of constantly migrating to new image-hosting services, it would be helpful if we could just upload images.
  2. Really love the use of space-related art. Did you find these or were they AI-generated?
  3. Can we buy multiple slots with the same alliance? :srs:
  4. Add two more and you can become the Magnificent Seven
  5. The simple answer seems to be to avoid mob rule and let the more knowledgeable and experienced members of the Orbis community filter out the irrelevant or troll responses
  6. This is why you need to launder money, smh
  7. With the occasional gravedigging causing quite the headache, it would be nice if the forums posted an additional warning message when a user is about to reply to a post more than a year old (or the last message was sent more than a year ago). Something like "Are you sure? This post was made over a year ago. Please see our forum rules for more information." Not sure if this is a feature the forum even has, but thought it would be worth throwing this idea out here.
  8. My most sincerest thanks to whoever nominated me for Best Nation Page... and anyone who votes for me
  9. Best of luck. 45 days seems very early to be starting an alliance, but hopefully you will get a lot of good guidance from your protector
  10. Your nation name is likely repeating because you set both your nation name and title as "The Kingdom of Silves." Most players set up their nations so that the name is just "Silves" and set the title as "The Kingdom of" so together it forms "The Kingdom of Silves."
  11. You should do one without an outline around the symbol and make the red color consistent
  12. Are you also getting a "Video will play with sound. Do you wish to continue?" popup before every ad? I started getting these today. Seems like a new thing by Google. That being said, the ad company hasn't even paid Alex for a while so I assume this will be neglected until the payment issue is resolved.
  13. Found him: https://politicsandwar.com/nation/id=584625
  14. I was the one who forwarded this post to him. I wasn't sure of the full story but I figured he should have an opportunity to explain his side
  15. I'm confused, is there something preventing you from declaring war on another nation instead?
  16. As suggestions these aren't bad, but they seem largely inconsistent with how people play this game. Political Parties: What exactly would political parties even do, for example? If they're outside of alliances, what power would they even hold, other than just being a "eating club" for people with similar ideologies? Mandating political parties in alliance instead would also cause a lot of problems. Most competent alliances don't use democracy simply because it's a bad system—it causes disruptions in long-term policy like funding cities, having a consistent figure to conduct diplomacy, and potentially lets random players with no experience or skill in charge. Embassies and Diplomacy: Do keep in mind there are currently 16,415 nations. I worry if we allowed that many nations to host their own embassies it would be an enormous strain on the game. And for what purpose? Our leaders can literally message each other directly without the need for a proxy. If you want embassies, I recommend creating a bulletin called "embassy" and let people conduct business there. As for trade, we already have player-to-player trade. Non-War Challenges: I'll admit this one I like, would be interesting to have events outside the player's control to keep the game active. Though given how people play this game, probably better if it were alliance-centric so alliances can coordinate responses and stockpile resources for purposes other than war. Government Departments: Again, what would be the point of some of these roles other than the roleplay aspect? Most people honestly do not care about the health and disease metric in their nations. You can technically already do this: in your alliance settings you can set custom government roles. If you or your alliance considers this aspect important, I recommend doing this instead?
  17. Yeah, I'm quite liking this new trend of the winning side choosing the war name
  18. It was stressful to be a target 🤣
  19. I'm concerned there are probably a fair share that are not original work and just ripped off of a Google search. Maybe in future contests we should require the photo include a piece of paper (or equivalent, such as a sign for Minecraft submissions) with the submitter's nation name and "For the 202X Pumpkin Decoration Contest" written down
  20. As a veteran war dodger who has not participated in any war for a decade, I celebrate this suggestion! In fact, I couldn't agree more. Warfare in this game is like that one crazy neighbor who insists on mowing their lawn at 7 AM on a Sunday - it just ruins the peace and quiet of our virtual world. Let's face it, warfare is the ultimate buzzkill. Not only does it wreck your nation's infrastructure faster than you can say "repair bill," but it's also the fastest way to drain your bank. I mean, why should I spend my hard-earned virtual currency on rebuilding when I could be investing in fancy virtual palaces? It's not like the alliances in this game are the UN or anything. No one's rushing to help you rebuild your nation, even if you're their best friend in real life. It's every nation for themselves, and it's a dog-eat-dog world out there. And don't even get me started on the radiation fallout. It's like trying to microwave popcorn with the door open - a recipe for disaster. The food production goes down the drain, and suddenly, we're facing mass famines in small, food-producing nations. It's a catastrophe of epic proportions! So, yes, let's do away with warfare and bring back peace and prosperity to our virtual nations. Maybe we can all join a virtual knitting club or something instead. Who's with me?
