  1. I don't know if it's because it's 2:30 in the morning, but "dance zombies" are pretty funny to me right now.
  2. It worked! I've summoned the Great Nate! ...Wait, you don't grant wishes? Drat! Lol. Anyway, thanks for satisfying my curiosity re: peace negotiations at least. That's too bad, but who knows, maybe something positive will happen on the peace front soon... global warming being what it is and all.
  3. Glad to see something good is coming of it, at least, though I'm still wondering if Greatnate would be interested in trying to negotiate a peace agreement with t$. I don't know how Alpha government politics work, but if Greatnate is reading this... Greatnate: Interested in peace talks if t$ gov still is? Yes/No? (I said his name three times, this should work!)
  4. As opposed to the Brokeback War -- "I wish I knew how to quit you!"
  5. Congratulations! Cloud-based computing and storage for our friends and business associates at t$ is a big step forward!
  6. ...You mean this log from ten days ago was it? A 20-minute conversation of mostly posturing and really odd, stubborn pride on Steve's part while t$ leaders try to get him to show some basic respect to the t$ FA representative? ...No one's tried for peace since? That's kind of funny, but also sad/stupid. *reads Roy's and James's posts there* Yipes. I'm beginning to think this log should be required to be posted whenever a member of Alpha tries to put all the blame on t$ for peace talks breaking down. ... Err... How about Greatnate, then?
  7. Congratulations and good luck with your new alliance, Livius Clades!
  8. I read this later on in one of your helpful summary posts. Geez, man... that's terrible. And to think I went the extra mile to message Hope Solo directly to try to make it clear that someone had changed that image without Eumir's knowledge/permission and that it had, in fact, been a funny shitposting flow chart guide originally (as myself and others witnessed in the original thread). Hope's responses to me were somewhat puzzling, but I was willing to believe that -- at the very least -- Hope was being honest in her actions/indignation in the original thread (as is Alpha's official story at the moment). Oh well. Holy crap, I hope members of Alpha can see and understand how much of an asshat Steve was being. That's the nice word for it, because he was either acting that way on purpose or just being thick. After all, I suppose insisting that Partisan or Roy confirm Val's legitimacy ONCE isn't so bad... but AGAIN?? Just disrespecting Val like this is really how you want to open peace negotiations?? I'd probably make a terrible alliance leader, but even I wouldn't make that mistake. The bit I'm talking about is from 14:05 to 14:16 -- I mean, that's where Roy confirms it once and then twice to Steve. The actual confirmation talk continues to go on and on after that, further disrespecting Val, as Partisan has to say it again at 14:18, and then Steve turns around and continues to talk to Partisan and Roy at 14:19... and then Roy says it again at 14:21... My gosh, is a little respect so much to ask? I'm sighing and shaking my head in exasperation just reading this log. Can't imagine what it must be like to actually have to deal with this. It does make me think that all peace negotiations should be conducted publicly in front of other members of each alliance, though, just so each side can see what their leadership is like. ;P Also, maybe James II could give peace negotiations a shot? Couldn't go worse than this. Unless, of course, Steve doesn't trust James to speak for him. I dunno, just a thought. I've found James to be reasonable, speaking personally. *shrugs* I do think the apology asked for in that log should be included, though, after everything that's happened. If Steve doesn't want to claim responsibility for something he or one of his alliance-mates did -- or he really DIDN'T do it -- he should at least find out who really did it, name the guilty party, and make them apologize. It's better than going around and around in this dance of: t$: Apologize for what happened! Alpha: NAP! NAP-NAP-NAP!!! t$: Apology! Alpha: NAP! Seriously. I hope more recent negotiations have been more fruitful. Otherwise, I look forward to the announcement that kangaroo meat sales have increased by 400%.
  9. Hope Solo doesn't, which is why I wonder why she wants to continue to associate with those in Alpha who perpetrated such an inappropriate image swap in the first place. From what I can tell, she genuinely seems to believe Steve was not the one who swapped out the image he was hosting with a rape joke, though. But yes, I think Alpha should consider the behavior of their leader and of Caecus (in this thread, if nothing else) seriously. Good luck getting that apology -- even though I doubt it'll ever happen. Alpha leadership can feel free to prove me wrong, but I don't think they will. *shrugs*
  10. Ah, I was looking at the calendar and didn't count the last couple of days tacked on at the end there, but yeah, it will be exactly 24 days, thanks. ;D That's... certainly a while now. And all righty then. ^.^
  11. It's been how long since war was declared? Like... Three weeks? I don't think it's a waste to offer individual peace agreements after three weeks of war (of which Alpha has mostly been on the losing side) and so far unsuccessful peace negotiations with Alpha's leadership. Some people might be -- or get, at some later date in time -- fed up with the situation. Although the real question is how many of Alpha's 31 members read Alliance Affairs, so that they could see such an offer of peace is on the table.
  12. NPO and Polaris, makin' some moves! Congratulations, you two. ^.^
  13. I like how this reads like a real business article/company memo. ^.^ Seems like a fair offer for anyone who wants to leave Alpha.
  14. LOL! I remember that! Stopped him in eSouthAfrica, too. Sticking it to would-be eDictators. Good times.
  15. Time for a little R&R, eh? Congratulations on your treaty. ^.^
  16. Congratulations on your most unnatural of partnerships, you two! ... I'm sure absolutely nothing wrong will go wrong as a result of this.
  17. Dubstep + Violin... just odd enough to work.
  18. Wow, nice showing for Mensa HQ voters in the poll all throughout today! Even though the poll's open for another two days or so, looks like it's time to start planning your sticker mapping route, TUGT. I look forward to seeing the results of your efforts! Should be fun.
  19. Thanks, Trajan! Better luck next time. And thanks to everyone else that has voted for me so far. I'm glad the Top 5 will all get something and glad that we can vote for multiple people.
  20. Thanks! And thanks to Sheepy for including all of our Nation Page URLs in the poll -- made it very easy for me to check everyone's pages before voting. *listening to TUGT's anthem while writing this post*
  21. That's a great guide! All alliances should use it.
