I can't say anything for EoS but I can say with absolute certainty that UPN had no quarrel with TAC, although it seems we(read: I) was misguided in assuming they had no intention of attacking us. Meh, treaty webs suck anyways. So I guess this war is to the benefit of the game. They saw the errors of their ways (also they still raided indiscriminately so people weren't buying it)

UPN had 3 nations in the top 10 before we instituted a tax. I prefer austerity over any form of tax myself but meh, I make enough money that it doesn't hurt me that much.
