  1. Nope. Do enlighten me though, I'm actually curious about this one. If a multi cropped up that got fed hundreds of millions in this game, it seems to me that the person responsible would be burnt at the stake within a day. I guess you could war a low-tier, but that would be solved if the city-blitz thing is resolved. Basically.
  2. This isn't a horrendous suggestion. I don't see why the response to it is so vitriolic, especially on the front of 'we had to wait so you should too'. That's silly because if you indeed were negatively impacted by the city timer, then I think it isn't super unreasonable to think that it should be changed for the benefit of newer players. Two arguments against removing the city timer: Large nations might make multiaccounts and funnel them hundreds of millions of dollars to instantly grow huge for nefarious purposes. I am skeptical about this one. Even if you went ahead and did that, you would be very easily caught since a nation jumping that much score is very conspicuous. Additionally, I couldn't fathom doing such a thing to be useful. Wars could be won, especially in the lower tiers, by declaring on a nation and immediately building several cities and militarizing them. This one is slightly more relevant, especially for those who intended to build said cities anyway. One fix is to make cities unbuildable in a state of war, but that would make casual raiders pretty mad. Also, maybe nations with superior pixels deserve to rout their enemies in a war, but that is a topic for another time. One argument for removing the city timer: I could have 10 cities right now, gosh darn it.
  3. Apparently he has a precedent for doing this sort of thing that I didn't know about If I were him I definitely would have been just building nukes and doing silly roleplay for giggles. Still though, what the heck did you need 14M for if you were just going to nuke people and deconstruct infra? Sheesh.
  4. If I'm not mistaken, amendments are changes made to an original document. Does this mean you originally had a completely blank charter, then edited things onto it seven times by 60% vote? Regardless, o/ and good luck.
  5. Bump because $28,000,000, and because my ad expired. Rates have been policy dropped to 1.5% as funds now exceed 25M (25% discount). Rates will return to normal when funds drop below 10M.
  6. The market is fine. Adding restrictions makes it less fair almost by definition. If my freedom on the market was bound by alliances/colors, I would almost certainly be permanently residing on the alliance None in the grey sphere The standard complaint about markets is that the discrepancy between Buy and Sell offers is too large. If this is true, then we would like there to be more undercutting, not less, and you could make it more convenient to do so by adding a quickoffer feature that automatically undercuts the next guy.
  7. What incentivizes color-specific trade regulations? For example, it doesn't seem to me that Pink alliances and players would ever advocate to restrict their trading options, because if the price of oil goes under $100 they will be entirely unable to sell oil. Am I misunderstanding what you meant?
  8. Don't worry, when he or someone on his behalf pays up you can have half.
  9. Don't worry, if Ashwyn hadn't done that, I would have personally posted at 11:59.
  10. Okay guys, last chance. 15 minutes. I'm putting the $1M back up for grabs. Posts made on or before 11:59 EST 11/30, after this one, will not count as a winning submission AND will void the prize for everyone else.
  11. Out of the graciousness of my heart, I will forgive the previous offenders and reinstitute the prize. Posts made on or before 11:59 EST 11/30, after this one, will not count as a winning submission AND will void the prize for everyone else.
  12. 25 days, $37,500,000. That's a pretty long loan, yo. I would probably try to get it done quicker. I think in practice, the longest-running loan over 10M has only lasted a week or two.
  13. However, posts made on or before 11:59 EST 11/30, excluding this one, will not count AND will void the prize for everyone else.
  14. Bump because $26,000,000 and because the only active post in this subforum is about people buying food from Redael at 5M PPU. I also changed the thread title to LOANS!!! because maybe that will resonate with some people more.
  15. Well, it's clearly not meant to be a purely cosmetic feature, and it works from my end at least; I am barred from accepting VE trade offers. It would probably be considerably more reasonable to ask Sheepy to fix an apparently months-old bug for a useful feature rather than manually embargo all 109 members of Viridian Entente, thank you very much.
  16. Sorry you guys, but it happened and someone capped out the 10% bonds. I don't feel comfortable continuing to deal in that range, but for now will be able to manage reasonable quantities at the sad rate of 5%, if anyone's still interested. Quota for larger interest bonds should reset once the existing ones are paid, so you can also wait until then. Take that Coach!
  17. Tanks yes, munitions for ground troops, no.
  18. Tanks count too. If you're paying upkeep for them anyway, using them in raids pays for the gasoline and munitions.
  19. You should auction it off starting at 1.5M, might bring in a little more dosh. Also, pretty good deal.
  20. If you go ahead and war IR, both of you are going to get your pixels roasted off, but one of you isn't under the moral compulsion to not raid people with alliance affiliations and is going to rebuild a lot faster than the other. You're making yourself out to be the bad guy here, with the way you're talking. Take a chill pill. Also, a point of interest, I don't know what it is with Orbis and how raiding inactives in major alliances is a moral atrocity but raiding active Nones or even members of small unprotected alliances is just fine. This doesn't necessarily have to do with International Revolution, but I'm just putting that out there.
  21. ...Yes, but I reserve the right to return it when I want. Also rates are totally going to go down since 10% is only sustainable with the initial 20M.
  22. They probably aren't logged off of the game, they are merely not performing ingame activities. They might alternate their attacks, for example, to split the raid loot evenly in the event that you run out midway.
  23. Raiders make me sad. If you get raided in the future and they don't bother to blockade you, toss your lootables in your alliance bank. That way, beyond the original two ground attacks, they won't steal more than a few percent of your original cash and resource hoard.
