  1. Peace! I John X, former leader of "Mosquitoes" surrendered to TKR and Arrgh. They've both graciously accepted my surrender despite my original statements. My surrender followed the realisation that the attacks on me were just that....despite the coincidental timing and LoEG was not involved. That many nations exceed their "nuke cap" suggests they really don't exist as a force at all. It should also be known that TKR (whom I directed most of my efforts against) was a most impressive opponent...never failing to note me logging on and building a nuke just to spy it away in the 5 seconds available before I could launch it. Standard attacks and blockades made any resistance impossible. Well done.
  2. I was not trying to shame anyone. Just the briefest statement of fact because I believe BoC entered a war soon after.
  3. You can't say no one in TKR is part of LoEG because it is a movement built on secrecy. You know only if YOU are....and if you are you'd be okay with lying about it. Year and a half without war? No...9 months perhaps...Not that I've avoided it. I left BoC over 100% taxes (easily confirmed...I made a big deal about it). I left R&R over a personal insult towards a friend of mine. I was out of the current war because I was LITERALLY too high to attack anyone (although I spied some nukes!) I was quite the raider when I started. Built a city every 10 days for 7 cities off of it (more or less). Rest assured I'll see my fill of war in the coming days.
  4. As the defender rather than the aggressor there is no requirement to explain my methods of defense but I feel that Orbis should know why I chose not go quietly. There were many options in my best interest over the short term that I could have taken. 1st. I haven't been attacked in over 9 months. It has been so long I really don't even remember. So, on 09/19/2016 I was identified by the "League of Extraordinary Gentleman" as one of 50 nations over the ridiculous arbitrary nuke cap. I won't go into details as to why the cap is ridiculous here but know I was targeted. 2nd. I receive a message about my "EVIL" nukes on 09/20/2016 by a LoEG member....calling for their destruction or else. 3rd. On 09/21/2016 I am attacked by 3 nations in the space of 6 hours. So no attacks 9+ months then 3 in 6 hours just 2 days after being identified as a target. Clearly a LoEG attack. 4th. Having decided not to bend over and take it... (there is serious balance of power and enjoyable gameplay reasons for wanting nukes unchanged) I left my most recent alliance and planned my counter attack. 5th. From: Solaire Date: 09/22/2016 Thursday 12:45 am Oh, and i apologise for my friends who are raiding you, but youre welcome to join us anyway... theyd leave you alone if you did From: Solaire Date: 09/22/2016 Thursday 12:42 am I notice youve just left OOS, and i wanted to say you should join us at tkr! So, not only am I subject to a LoEG attack, but now I'm being blackmailed/bribed to joining TKR. I briefly considered joining at the barrel of the gun and then feeding information to TKR's enemies but unlike the LoEG I have honor and don't skulk in the shadows. When I decided to fight back it was for the good of Orbis and I was upfront about it. I refrained from insults and refrained from dishonorable methods and I receive this classy bit: From: Melisandre Date: 09/22/2016 Thursday 2:05 am Please grow a brain, for your own sake ******************************************************** So how is the war going? Amazingly! So much so that I wonder if I wasn't being allowed to use ALL of my nukes (and those I built)....27 so far so that I could be a poster child for the EVILS of nukes. No competent player would have allowed that.... let alone the hundreds I am at war with. After the first day to assassinate spies I should have been losing nukes at 3 per day. Not a single nuke was destroyed. In other metrics: I greatly lead in infrastructure destroyed. I spied away 8 nukes from various enemies causing 1 to sell off the remainder rather than lose it. I have beiged 12ish enemies while only the Mosquitoes "Refinery" was beiged. I've added to my holdings of land and "nonraidables" *edit* I deleted the flags of the quotes because they covered the entire screen for some reason... and other format type stuff.
  5. I hope the author continues to update over the coming months.....
  6. Biting definately....but I'm unfamiliar with that other word. Oh, right, beaten. We have no word for that as it has never happened before. We sometimes chill for a while during the winter.
  7. I completely agree that nukes are horrible and am taking steps to decrease my supply as we speak... I noticed another nation had those horrible nukes and NO SPIES! Someone should step in and save the world, spy off the nukes. https://politicsandwar.com/nation/id=15294
  8. I noticed a nation had those icky "nuke" things you don't like and ZERO spies. Feel free to rid the world of this threat. https://politicsandwar.com/nation/id=15294
  9. Mosquitoes recognizes Arrgh and TKR's inability to triumph in a fair 1 vs 163 matchup and welcomes BK's 144 into the fray. Ya'll might wanna find some more guys. That said, Mosquitoes understands the impulse to protect ones "friends" and will generously allow BK to withdraw from the fight when it chooses.
  10. War will continue until public apology is made and both alliances publicly agree to never attack the nation "Refinery" unless attacked first. Either alliance can end this separately if they choose.
  11. The alliance "Mosquitoes" exists.
  12. Buying and selling on the market is a fairly reliable income. Just start slowly until you understand it fully.
  13. Eric..."farmer's dream"....how so? A farmer is producing absolutely nothing right now...earning no return on his investment of land, the slots, and probably a project. It is the dream of the prudent and the capitalist to buy or hold when something is cheap and sell when it is high. Something, I might add YOU can do without being a farmer.
  14. I also like selling anything at any price people will pay. Let them waste their money.
  15. I have no problem with food/radiation changes. If we had been warned fully even 2 weeks ahead of time we would have missed all the fun of the new twist. In fact I fear this is so easy to adapt to that there will be no lasting rise in food prices....a shame as I am (er...was and will be) a leading producer. I capped out of food storage 999,999 some time ago because I wasn't selling at 80ppu. (Long ago sold peopleso don't attack me!) Besides folks...lots of things price spike in war. I sold a batch of food at 400ppu last war and I've only seen 280ppu during this "crisis". Pay a little extra now and mitigate it easily in the future.
  16. Thank you so much for fixing this problem quickly and perfectly. I assume doing the change on my phone was the cause (98% of play on phone), and if I ever want to move again I'll log onto the computer.
  17. John X of Refinery here. I was wanting to move from SA where I had been for many months, to Africa (suez canal egypt) to make use of the uranium project. I buy the move, select Egypt and bam....Scandanavia. I couldnt believe it but assumed I wasnt careful enough. Bought a second move, (about 8 million!) and carefully placed it in Egypt. Bam! Eastern Europe. Now I'm out like 16 million, in the wrong place, and have no production. Alex PLEASE fix this. I want to be Suez canal area Egypt and getting back the second set of credits would be nice too. Thanks!
  18. Anyone want to take a crack at this with the new changes? Clearly with the "ghost structures ran with non-existent infrastructure" approach going away nukes will be indirectly more effective. I didn't see any need to strengthen nukes as much as a need to do something to deal with the "ghost structures ran with non-existent infrastructure". Now people can nuke nations with 1300 infra max military at least instead of 300 infra max military. I think any deficiencies that were there with nuke usage has been solved
  19. I like part of this idea. I was just arguing to loosen a little, not tighten. That said, if it was applied to individual cities then it would have an effect at higher levels as well where nukes or targeted bombardments could take significant forces out of a fight. It shouldn't be that all the cities in a large nation takes an A-Bomb to the face and can still field the maximum military.
  20. I think this may not have been the best way to go after those with "ghost" buildings. Just browsing an alliance member *not* ghosting shows with his pretty typical 6 city, 1000 infra build he couldn't make the max troops, planes, or ships and can only just manage the tanks. Add to this the destruction if he was attacked...or loss of recycling/police/hospital structures. (added a little boost to missiles here). Even if the tide turned and he started to make headway against his opponent he wouldn't be able to muster more than 50-75% of max in some categories until the war was good and over and he had time/money to rebuild infrastructure. I can suggest changes to my alliance members to mitigate the risk but I think this might have been tightened a bit much. Then there is the issue of credits for resources. This is likely to only matter during times of war when the ppt is over 4,000 (or the cash would be better) and functions like a price subsidy if it goes too high. The biggest downside is that it harms the ability to blockade an opponent and unless the goal was to weaken this tactic further I suggest it not be possible to DO when blockaded.
  21. I must say I dislike the idea on basing the average price on the last 200 tons, as mentioned that will change just about every time there is a transaction. It will be even more meaningless than the current which I just ignore. If I'm looking to sell and the lowest price is 1,000 my offer price is 999 or 995 or whatever. If I'm looking to buy and the highest price is 900 my offer price is 901 or 905 or whatever. What possible value does the number 942 average hold for me? Outside of trying to establish an items current value for various complicated agreements.... the price is whatever I can buy or sell it for. We could have two numbers instead.... current price of 1000 tons being sold (a high number) and current price of 1000 tons being bought (a low number). Could be stacked on top of each other on the scrolling marquee and people could ALWAYS know in an instant what they could buy and sell at as well as the spread.
  22. Why is all the rum gone? WTF kinda party runs out of rum!?!? *whispers and nudges* Oh, I was suppose to bring the rum.......... be right back! *back with rum* First toast to Apeman for giving all BoC a reason to drink! But seriously, BoC is my family. I could not hope to meet a greater bunch of guys and gals. May the second year be even better than the first! For BoC! For the dragon gods!
  23. They can have my armor when they pry my assault rifles firing armor piercing rounds from my cold dead hands. Damn gov.....
