  1. I really hope not. Wanting to benefit from this glitch is also exploiting.
  2. Adding an extra cost to infraestructure could make it so costy than the peace periods would increase. Take into account peace periods are often calculated by the ROI from building infra vs income return. 2500 infra has an estimated ROI of 70 or 80 days so people tend to want to be at peace for a little longer than that in order to make a profit of it. If you make it more costy or if you add an upkeep you would systematically make the peace periods longer. What you have to ask yourself is if you want wars to happen more often or not. If so, you need to reward wars instead penalizing growth. May I suggest a medal system? different sets of medals for war performance. Maybe a set of projects that only nations with a certain amount of war proficiency can acquire? If war had a reward that could potentially help you get an edge over the rest of the players, I am certain more would want to go for it.
  3. Thank you for clarifying that bit. From my perspective, this changes will affect growth a little bit causing nations in the 20/30 range to grow up in a slower manner (like 20% slower) nations with 30+ nations won't find it very hard to compensate for that retroactive fee in raws and since income at that stage is pretty sustantial. The 30/40 city range is about as high as anyone will grow in the next couple years, so we might even see them freeze there and delay that payment for quite a long while. As for disrupting the banking business, this can be an opportunity rather than an impediment. Banking was born because of the high priced cities and the huge excess of cash with nowhere viable to put it in. An increase in resource demand can lead to more players wanting to get into this black market that has developed lately where you can buy and sell big bulks of resources. Maybe a new generation of players can come forth and make their own raw trading depot and turn an otherwise ordinary change (no offense intended Alex) into another tool for money making and community building .
  4. It's virtually impossible for any investor to pull out all of their money at a moment's notice. No bank would return you 5 billion or 10 billion of your money just because you ask for it. It also doesn't make financial sense to pull out your money and lose whatever deals you currently have in order to buy 1 or 2 cities before this change happens knowing that you would have to pay the resources retroactively anyway. Thirdly, buying a whale city of 2b+ makes no financial sense since the ROI for it is insignificant, so why would whales hurry up to pull out their money of the banking system in order to make a fraction of the return they would otherwise make? This raw resource usage increment as a band aid is not the end of the world. It's I believe an attempt to fix the last code change to resource production that caused this problem to begin with. I also think the prices of resources going down is not a problem but a solution. If what the community wants is more wars, cheaper resources will make that happen. Where is it written that resources ought to be expensive? Why can't they be affordable so we can do what this game was supposed to be: 50% politics and 50% wars. Currently it's like 90% politics 9% economics and 1% war.
  5. I take personal offense that a game administrator chosed this specific set of words to refer to a community based program. I would like you to explain how can development be held hostage over some financial system and how have we rigged the system? I also would like to point out I approached you ages ago about implementing a coded banking system into the game but despite you feeling it was a good idea, you didn't go through with it. If it's rigged, then why don't you code a bank that is better? You have an unlimited cash machine, offer loans to nations and finish us off. But please, refrain from using this specific set of words again.
  6. ok. I will use your post Boyce and your mention of me to put my five cents. Does anyone that has made it to 35 cities have money problems? Let's say those who need to pay a 1b retroactive to buy another city. How is that more complicated than for example, saving 3 billion to buy another city? or 2 billion in the case of city 34 or 35. All you need to do is save another billion. Save 2 billion if Alex's change does work and raw demand and price goes up. So for those whales that are currently building one more city every 2 or 3 months it will take 5 for the next city instead? After that it'll go back to normal. I also don't understand how this would hurt the private banking system. If anything people will try to come to the banks to take massive loans in order to buy resources and speculate with the price?
  7. lol my friend. Take that beating and come back oh Rabid Dog of mine.
  8. Bud. You can't expect them to understand a perfectly logical argument anymore than you can train a dog to count to 10.
  9. This is weak Ockey tsk tsk. You could have given them a month to get ready at least. Fighting them now is like kicking a wounded animal. I don't approve -_-

  16. I didn't take it at heart but you put me on the spot so an answer to your post was required. good one if it was just a joke tho ✌️
  17. you clearly don't know me Prefontaine. I don't need to even defend myself with such accusation. My old investors, my old clients, even the current investors from Emerald Bank that were severely damaged by Dillon's stunt know who I am and can speak of my integrity. Ask my enemies even if I would be capable of taking something that isn't mine. If you are going to accuse, do it with more facts buddy. Have a good day
  18. That's what's missing, a comic from Ripper!!! @Ripper you are summoned
  19. Maia's Magic Daddy-Yesterday at 7:17 PM Hello Orbis. We are gathered here today in celebration of our Alliance, Durmstrang, a place where most of us found the home we had been seeking in years of wondering throughout all corners of Orbis. I am very happy with what we have achieved while we existed, we have made great friends inside and outside this walls; we have gained strong allies that will be forever in our thoughts. As everything in life, Durmstrang also had a finite time in the world, it was fun while it lasted and we don’t regret one minute of it. But just as all things, DS has come to its end. With unmeasurable pride to all we have built, I say good bye to this baby of mine. I stand tall when closing the doors of this fine castle behind me after all inhabitants have vacated the premises. Thank you to all the people that have come through our doors, you made my dream come true and for that I will be eternally grateful. Thank you to all our allies that time after time proved to be made of iron and defended our interests as their own, you also made this dream possible. Thank you for our rivals in declared wars or otherwise who valiantly fought us both in Politics and Wars, without you our existence wouldn’t have had purpose. As part of our farewell Durmstrang hosted a fine Wizarding Ball for our members and special guests. You can see the preparations and the ball itself below thanks to the masterful skills of our camerawoman Maia “hit-girl”. Ball part one Ball part two Part three is yet to come.
