  1. AGAIN, Rose waits for ages to "protect" their supposed "friends." Such a great friend to have, really.
  2. Just curious, what is the object of these debates? I just read through the net neutrality debate, and it appears that neither participant knows much of anything about the topic or put any particular effort into formulating a reasonable argument. Lannan couldn't even be bothered to spell check or proofread his post.
  3. Sure is a lot of Arrgh !@#$ing and whining in here for all the victories they claim to be having.
  4. Then I guess that means I wasn't talking about you, doesn't it? As for Tywin's post, it's completely focused on the circumstances of the little Mensa/Arrgh conflict and not on the game mechanics and the potential circumstances they entail. I don't think Sheepy posted this with intervening in this war in mind, and obviously the effect of any change will be felt on many conflicts other than that one. I'm not sure why all the Arrgh participants in this thread are totally unable to look past this current dustup, but that would probably be helpful to this discussion.
  5. The only way I think something like this should be implemented is to protect new players against being beaten down by old nations with massively inflated city counts relative to their scores. If you have 10 or 13 cities and you've been around a year, you should not be able to perpetually curbstomp 2-3 month old babies with 5 or 6 or 7 cities.
  6. He now can't fight back at all throughout the rest of your war, but you can continue attacking him. It offsets the protective effect of a vacation mode switch in the middle of war. His account is also frozen until the VM ends, which is a minimum of 14 days.
  7. Good luck PPs. Warpool is obviously a Dioist, judging by his animation.
  8. So I guess your count and mine are off by one nation. That really is interesting!
  9. Meh I don't really count the people who started in the last 60 days. Not exactly a crowning achievement for year-old nations to be beating them, although it doesn't stop turds like Gallifrey from claiming glorious triumph.
  10. Yeah, can't argue that Arrgh's approach to not totally losing a war has been effective. They have no mid tier or higher and no hope of having one, but they have definitely mired our bottom 10 people in coastal muck.
  11. Yeah its getting rough, we have ten people (including several newbies) in Arrgh range... Which is saying something, since the 73 nations in Arrgh have an average score around NS500
  12. Nope, not true, sorry. Beige is 6 consecutive immense triumph ground attacks.
  13. You make Arrgh look ridiculous, Gallifrey. You should seriously take the good advice you've been given and let other people do the talking.
  14. Are you an idiot? He went on vacation mode AFTER his defensive slots were filled. How is he avoiding war?
  15. Wish I had cool gear like that when I was 7.
  16. The number of warn points isn't going to be directly correlated to the suppression effect of forum rules - most people will follow the rules, even if they are overbearing and not rationally linked to promoting activity, discussion and good times. Take the IC/OOC rules of the alliance affairs section - why? what point does it serve? Each sporadic enforcement action looks capricious and weird. Why do new topics in that section have to be "announcements" on behalf of an alliance? How about the new concept of announcing suspensions - why can it only be discussed in the moderation forum? What's the point of declaring certain sections of the forum to be "no discussion"? Is the discussion that might occur over a game report so distracting from the OP that the mods / admins can't see the OP? Lots of section have weird rules that you then need a big mod team to enforce, and then you get errors and conspiracy theories and the occasional angry dustup after people are warned off (verbally or otherwise) over some arbitrary and picayune rule. The cumulative effect is to reduce discussion and inhibit interaction, which would seem to be antithetical to the point of a forum.
  17. You're working with a 3 almost 4 year old browser, so you're going to keep running into issues and they are going to be more irritating over time.
  18. Cert looks up to date, probably a browser problem.
  19. I haven't been reading this debate, but as I understand it ISIS is composed of full sized people and that may help them in their ability to fight.
  20. Scandinavia isn't a country and Canada is... not really socialist.
  21. Page 3 and 4 of what? You know there are 25 leaderboards, right? And Eric who? Does Eric have a nation? Does it have a link?
  22. Thanks for providing helpful links and screenshots so Sheepy can fix the error.
