  3. The problem doesn't reside in the use of the illegal drug. No, it resides in society's plan to imprison and hope the problem goes away. And, not to mention, its a great way to beef up budgets when you are taking on an illegal market that is constantly re-branding itself and the more you take down, the more they pop back up. For example, look at the story of Silk Road. Silk Road gets shut down by Europol, FBI and some others Silk Road 2 comes online Silk Road 2 gets shut down by Europol, FBI and some others Silk Road 3 comes online Not, to mention, that there is even bigger fish. Look at Agora and Evolution, I can buy legit AK-47's from some guy I have never even met. Why? Because people go to these sites to buy drugs and opportunistic entrepreneurs know that people who buy drugs also might dabble in Credit Card fraud, weapon selling, and extortion, and well you get the idea. Why though? Because, we would rather ignore the problem and criminalize people for doing stuff to their own body. And,by ignoring it, we create a subculture that is out of touch with normal society. Now, if we were to arrest people for harming other people while doing meth, that would be one thing. But, criminalizing them when they aren't? No, that creates uncontrolled black markets. Because, we are criminalizing possession and manufacture which in turn makes it highly profitable to produce meth or heroin or LSD. But, hey, if you want to keep the government making more money and becoming more of a police state to protect you from a black market that the government created then you can be my guest.
  4. Does anyone else listen to Greek psychedelic bands? I love Purple Overdose, too bad, they are MIA.
  5. I run Chromium (open source version of chrome) as I use Linux as my primary operating system. I have Midori and Fire Fox as backup and sometimes, if I want to, I will go for Konqueror which is KDE's browser. And, if I am really in a bind than Lynx or w3m, though I have had some trouble getting w3m to play nice with javascript. Though, Lynx just doesn't support it.
  6. Agreed, they can be totally neutral and not engage in entanglements, but they should also be willing to defend themselves. It does not break neutrality if you have to stand up for yourselves and keep the enemy at bay. It only breaks it when you favor one side over the other.
  7. I think the term is more aggressive negotiations. Good luck Asgard, may you have your righteous vengeance.
  8. Welcome VE ! Glad to see a familiar alliance.
  9. I am a Mount & Blade: Warband kind of guy and I also like to play 0AD. 0AD is an open source RTS game based on pax-Romana era troops or something pretty close to that.

  11. This my friend is TV at its greatest moment in time. They have mastered the art of the mockumentary, basically its about a trailer park in Canada. Some people go to jail, others get high, and some do shady stuff.

  15. I agree with you Sheep. Hard drugs unlike Marijuana do cause violent outbreaks and heroin can wreck your body. Why prescription opiates are legal, I have no idea. It would be far more efficient to prescribe cannabis since it handles pain like a champ. Nor does it have the side-effects or physical addiction potential that opiates have. But, in the end, illegal drugs create dangerous black markets. It would be better to legalize it all or you would have to keep some criminal markets in place. For instance, when you look at Silk Road going down, two of the most dangerous black markets spawned, Agora and Evolution. At, least in SR, you could only buy certain things, but in these markets, you can buy a whole lot more! So, its either legalize it or keep taking down more darknet sites. Because, when 1 goes down a 100 takes its place. Eventually, its a race against the clock and a money drain. When do you kill the hog that you have been feeding for years?

So, when I try to link my nation by typing in the nationID in the profile section. It will not take 10054 which is my nationID but it will take 0054 or 54. What should I do? I am using Chrome for Linux if that helps.
  18. Thanks y'all for the welcomes and all. I am really liking this game, the more I get used to it.
  19. Hi, I am Jroc and I am loving the game so far. I used to play on (That terrible game that is totally irrelevant and I shouldn't be bringing it up anyways) too, and I even wrote a doctrine on diplomacy on (That terrible game that is totally irrelevant and I shouldn't be bringing it up anyways). Anyways, hope to see y'all around and on the forums and on IRC.
