  1. The Syndicate is currently developing a business model that will monetize circle-jerks. Our company prides itself on its innovations in the love-making market. The Board of Directors firmly believes that this renewed direction will provide a high Return on our Investment on a long-term basis.
  2. The Syndicate has no interest in the announcements of smaller businesses. Should they please to announce their quarterly reports via this channel, we will make no objections. These smaller businesses after all, may well become future acquisitions. It is always good to be aware of their movements.
  3. The logic is flawed, my friend. The Syndicate has been nothing but benevolent to a troubled man who has, over the months, been found poaching, antagonizing and now, actively engaging in hostilities against our corporation. As we do not believe in punishment, we merely extend our hand in an attempt to assist and educate. Once Kastor has proven a basic comprehension of the basic realities that one must understand in order to survive on Orbis, we will happily allow him to leave the SyndiCompetence program and reintegrate into this world.
  4. In the interest of transparency, we can however, divulge that no laws have been broken in the process.
  5. The Syndicate strongly condemns any entity that would attempt to drive a player from this world. When troubled youth attack your employees however, it becomes impossible for an organization such as ours to look away. We are therefore provided with the option to do nothing, and watch as the youth digs his own proverbial grave deeper, or we have the option to break the cycle of negativity via stern discipline and education. The Syndicate believes the latter to be the more humanitarian approach. What is your belief?
  6. Syndicate press release It has come to The Syndicate's attention that impoverised youth have been stirring unrest in Syndicate territory. Many an organization would attempt to mitigate damage to their assets via the extraction of justice, and appliance of the law. Our corporation however, maintains an ideology that would not line up with this sentiment. The Syndicate recognizes that the erratic and violent behavior of the individual, often has a message at its core. A cry for help by a troubled individual. The Syndicate has recently identified such a troubled youth in Kastor, who appears to have lashed out towards Syndicate associates in hopes of gaining attention. And we will provide as such. It is no secret that our corporation has two easily identifiable cornerstones: First, there is our sound, customer-friendly business model, and second, there is our heavy investment and focus on Philanthropy. A wise man once said: "Give a man a fish, and he will eat for a day. Teach a man to fish, and he will eat for a lifetime". Adopting this perspective, many would agree with me that education is key in obtaining success. Education is what builds lives, and there are few things more in-spirit with our philanthropic ideology, than the building of lives. The Syndicate is happy to announce, that it has decided to invest additional funds into the "SyndiCompetence Educational Scholarship Fund". The financial resources that stem from this fund, will be directly allocated to the military and disciplinary education of Kastor, via a variety of field exercises. The duration of this programme will be directly tied to the speed at which the recipient is able to grasp the disciplinary necessities that come with life in this society, and life on this planet. The recipient shall remain under Syndicate supervision, and will not be allowed to join any organizations until he is deemed able to succesfully build his future. Thank you for your time, and please join us in congratulating Kastor on becoming the first recipient of the SyndiCompetence Educational Scholarship! Signed, ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Partisan Director of Marketing The Syndicate
  7. I see you hit a Syndicate member. This might backfire on you.
  8. Oh, I in no way condemn your attack on the GPA. My apologies if I gave you the impression that such was the case. I quite honestly had no business with the hit and therefore had no care for it. My comment was solely geared towards the "bigger threat" notion. Would I have made the same move as Guardian did? Doubtfully. Do I fault you for making it? Not one bit.
  9. To be fair. Ronnie is correct. GPA was never a real threat to the world and regardless of what anyone may think- Guardian has been a threat to more alliances than GPA has ever been. If only because they have been a threat to GPA, UPN, CU, VE etc. etc. at one point or another. It's not a snipe at guardian in any way from my side- merely stating fact. GPA was more neutral than Guardian and wielded less power (in terms of political clout). Therefore, GPA was a smaller threat, if any.
  10. The Syndicate is quite content to see this joint venture between its business partners in BK, and the fledgeling UPN. Congratulations!
  11. It is prefontaine's good right to dislike Cuzo or anyone for that matter. I can not blame you for that. Unfortunately, the Syndicate is not an alliance that will alter its internal policies for the sake of accommodating grudges of external parties that date back almost half a year. It would be an unsound policy as it would exhibit a lack of strength and spine, which may eventually lead to internal decent and altered PR image. It would simply not be sound policy. Guardian had its chance to take out Cuzo. I understand that you went easy on him because he initially intended to leave the game. My understanding is that this is a large part of your frustration, as you feel as if you have not been able to extract your revenge. While we are sorry that you feel as such, I believe Guardian (and Pre) to be one of the higher quality alliances, capable of thinking long-term and big picture. My hope is that this matter will not come in the way of Guardian-Syndicate relations. We would be appreciative if we can collectively move on for this matter, allow Cuzo his place in the game - he is in a position where he is of no threat to you, nor an obstacle - and bury this particular hatchet. If there is anything you would wish from our end, or if you would wish to delve further into the matter, please do not hesitate to contact me. We are happy to accommodate you, Show the Syndicate that love, and we may well recipocate it. Especially if this love includes mutually profitable ventures.
  12. The Syndicate has duly noted the events that transgressed, and concluded that taking a a stance on the matter would be unprofitable. We therefore wish the BoC and Mensa HQ the best of luck with their quarrels.
  13. It is with great pleasure that today, that we may announce to you the acquisition of the franchise of The Elysian League by Syndicate Holdings. We have long invested in a series of joint ventures with the Elysians, and have found them to be receptive to the Syndicate ideology and philosophy. With the growth in market share that will result from this acquisition, we are confident that The Syndicate will be capable of bringing its charitable and humanitarian efforts to unprecedented scale. Today is a clear example, showing the world that our philantropy does indeed pay out. With growth also comes expansion. Without further ado, I present to you the new executive bodies of The Syndicate: The Board of Directors Director of Human Resources: Roy Mustang Director of Accounting: Manthrax Director of Marketing: Partisan Director of Acquisitions: Nicholas II The Supervisory Committee Supervisor of Human Resources: Flame of the Flawed Supervisor of Accounting: Aleccs Supervisor of Marketing: Moufassa Supervisor of Acquisitions: Boony In addition, skyrocket growth spurts have prompted Syndicate officials to move operations into a new office. We may now be found at: http://syndicate-alliance.net/forums/ Please do not hesitate to step by for inquiries regarding applications or (foreign) business relations. Officials who have already had conference rooms and digital accounts in the previous Syndicate office, will find that these have been moved into the new facility. Due to a slight server problem, accounts will need to be re-acquired via the "lost password" feature. Thank you for your patience. - The Syndicate
  14. Speaking of IQ. I think mine just dropped by 5 points while reading these abominations you people call posts.
  15. Would you continually roll a player until he leaves the game? How does that create a sustainable gaming environment? EDIT: In addition; who are you to judge whether he spoke the truth or not? He may have had RL issues, or he may have lied. Either can be true but neither should be discounted. The truth is usually not black, nor white.
  16. Very interesting to see the events told from you perspective mate. Keep it up. Just to add some Syndicate perspective to the bolded part: We (and I speak solely for tS) had already recognized the intent for self-preservation in the move. Every treaty and every move must have some type of purpose or srategy behind it. One does not need a paper just for friendship. To assume that Rose wouldn't have a (strategic) reason behind looking to treaty us would be a disservice to them, as it would indirectly assume that they lack the foresight to properly play this game. Rose is perfectly capable of playing it, and so we anticipated it. The leaks did nothing but confirm what we know and had no influence on Syndicate policy. We kept our working relations and remained close, albeit untreatied.
  17. Following reports of ancient treasures being located in the land of USFA, the Syndicate has decided to send an expeditionary team to extract and acquire said resources. Missiles have been aimed in case inhabitants of the nation refuse to engage in economically profitable operations.
  18. I do not see the stipulation, or the attempt by Mensa to add in said stipulation to be outrageous. As government of the raider, it makes sense to attempt to mitigate financial damage (as in- minimize the amount of reps to be paid) by adding in such a stipulation. This does not however, mean that the raided party is obligated in any way, shape or form to accept it. It's a matter of the interests of both parties being fundamentally opposed, as one favors the raided and one the raider.
  19. Had this exact situation happened with Syndicate members being the victims of raids, I would not have accepted the compromise as offered by Mensa either. An attack on a member of an alliance should at all times be considered an attack on the alliance itself, and an infringement upon its sovereignity. Any government that allows it members - after having been attacked without casus bellii of any sort - to be forced to go through any kind of hoops before rightful reparations may be extracted loses any and all legitimacy in my eyes. A government allowing for such a situation being perpetuated is spineless and lacks any legitimacy, as it fails to follow up on the core responsibility it has to the member base it governs. Though I would likely have handled the matter in a different way, using different matters to extract the reps I desire, I can not truly fault SI for its action taken. If anything, their willingness to stand for their sovereignity is something I respect.
  20. The Syndicate will proclaim Pax profitica
  21. Dear Madam, The Syndicate has long deliberated on your formal request for access to the charisma and inspiration of our subisidiaries. Our Board of Directors echoes your sentiment towards the lack of necessity for meaningless ideologies. Instead, it is our belief that ideology must always come second to personal gain and profit, for this is the staple of philantrophy. One who strives to make the pie bigger for all, by making it bigger for himself, is often the one who will find the value of not only his assets, but that of everyone around him skyrocket. Profitability - be it in terms of tangible, or intangible assets - is the singular reason for the existence of any pan-national entity. Though it appears that our interests align, I must regretfully inform you that Board of Directors has decided not to comply with your request. We unfortunately failed to identify any tangible profits which could be gained from actively pursueing the acquisition of your nation into our portfolio. Should you wish to file a formal complaint, or request a reassessment, you may file a contact us via my inbox, or contact HR via our forums. Trusting to have informed you sufficiently, Partisan, Director of Marketing The Syndicate
  22. The Syndicate would not condone it.
